ASMU family suites with pin code

I heard somewhere that they don't let you use a pin code on the family suites. Does anyone know if this is true? I'll be calling in the next couple of days to book and am trying to find out all my options before I call so as to spend less time/$ on the phone.

You can book it with a PIN, if there is availability. I have changed my resorts probably 15 times on my upcoming trip, and one of those times I changed it, I used the 20/30/40 PIN on ASMu.

Was it on one of the family suites, or just a regular room? I've heard that the problem is with the family suites

Oh sorry, I didn't make that clear!

Yes, I had the ASMu Family suites booked for 13 nights with that 20/30/40 PIN code.

When the ASMu suites first opened they were NOT included in PIN Code offers or the Free Dining promo, but Disney changed that policy, and for the last 2 years the ASMu suites have been included in discounts and promos.

Most of the other suites are property aren't eligible for the discounts. We are a family of 6 and would love to stay in the Deluxe family suite at Wilderness Lodge, but everytime I have ever called to see if it was available with a Pin code or the free dining code, it has not been included. Bummer!

We have our family suite on a PIN code! It is a matter of availability... there are not many suites (in comparison to the number of rooms) and so only a handful are offered for each discount. If you can't get one on your PIN, try a room discount or another offer. Also, keep trying back and see if they come available. (I was able to do this with a preferred room for our friends... finally scored one last week!)

We called and asked about it today. With the pin code we had, it was the exact same price as the Ft. Wilderness cabins because the discount was greater on the moderates. So, we ended up booking the cabins anyway. It was only about $300 off of the regular price for the suites.

This is very true with many of the current offers! I hate that the fam suites only get a lower discount, whereas they are almost as much as the cabins.

Good for you to work the numbers. That's what you always need to do when you call!
