Are we eligible for the referral discount?

Question... If we've already taken the "tour" (about 4-5 years ago) and have a guide assigned to us - (Jenna) - are we not able to take advantage of the current special with referral to get the $83.30 per point rate? We couldn't go down to DL this weekend as my husband didn't feel well, but are planning on next weekend, and hoping to finally join, but only if the incentive is available to us. Please let me know!

I think you can still get the 15% off with a member referral. The referring member will not get an incentive if their state allows that but you should tell them that you will purchase with the 15% discount and that's it. Other people have recieved it after having toured before so insist on it if at first they decline you. Let me know if you want our info (e-mail me). I will refer you so you can get the incentive. If it's at Disneyland, I guess they are also supposed to be giving a coupon for annual passes, but only at DL.

We had the video, a guide and had been in several discussions with our guide before learning of the F&F discount. We were able to add someone from this board as our referral (thanks Drew! ) without problem to get the 15%. I'm with nestlejean on the "if you want my money, here's my referral name."

We were even to work out a non-financed, three equal payments on our Disney Visa card payment plan. We could have paid cash, but why would I spend that much money and not earn a Disney Dream Dollar for it?!

You should be able to get it. We came back from our vaca last time and had information sent to us. Then this deal came about a couple of months later. So I called my guide back and got the deal!

My husband and I went on a tour in 2003 and didn't buy in until Oct. of 2005. We got the 15% savings because we mentioned how our friends pushed us again to buy into DVC. Based on my own experience, you should have no problem getting the discount.

You should be able to get it!

From the DVC Member site:

This special offer lets you save 15 percent off the purchase of an additional Ownership Interest in Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort (represented by 120 or more Vacation Points), and it lets you extend those savings to friends and family members who purchase new Disney Vacation Club Memberships.

It does not say anything about first time vistiors, etc.

Sorry you DH is not feeling well hope he gets better soon. You had to miss out on Disneyland Hope next weekend works out better for you.

You should definately be eligible for the discount. I know MANY other people who have received the discount although they actually toured or called long before.

As long as they sell the points, I think their happy.

You'll definitely be able to buy w/the F&F promo but as mentioned, the referring member wouldn't get any compensation. I live in a state that does not allow this anyway...so feel free to give the referral info. I pm'd you (if you still have it...if not, I can send it again).

You should get it without issue. We had a of "false start" before we bought in October and they took my borther-in-law's name without an issue. Not too metion they already knew we had had converstion with DVC before we mentioned to our "offical" guide.
