Are crocs really that comfy?

Yes they are!! We don't have the clog type ones, but I have 2 pair of the Adara sandal crocs and my DH has the Tikali sport sandals. They are so comfy we wear them around the house like slippers!

I absolutley love my crocs. I have the Athens ones and tonight I just bought the capri ones. I hope they are just as comfortable~I'll let you know.

i was in epcot last december and my feet were killing me. i walked past the croc stand and impulsively bought a pair (i always thought they were ugly). omg! i wore them the rest of the trip and then bought 3 more pairs when i got home. i even have the Rx ones for work.

now i've got my mom (3 pairs) and my sister (1 pair) hooked. my sister wore her's to work (she's a medical asst) and 3 other girls wanted to know where i got them from.

i love my crocs!!!

My standard answer when someone asks me that question is "Would I wear shoes this ugly if they weren't comfortable?"

Sandy

I went with a friend to her podiatrist (or some foot doctor) because she was having a cast removed from her foot .. HE was wearing crocs (the FOOT doctor) .. I asked him if they are REALLY that good for feet ... he said yep - he wears them all the time... But he also cautioned that as they "wear down" you need to get new ones... He said he has "numerous" pairs ...

Does anyone know if I can combine a discount code and get the 8% back using eBates? Is it just one or the other?

I've always used ebates with a code/discount thru shoebuy and yes they are that comfy. No way would I wear those ugly things if they weren't :thumbsup2 My kids all love em too. Dh still hasn't crossed over to the croc side.

I always thought they were so ugly and that i would never wear them.
She couldn't get past the "ugliness" so I might have to buy her a pair so she'll feel guilt to wear them :rotfl:

Love em...plus they're great if it rains out....

I too am a convert. I swore I would NEVER wear them. They were way to ugly, didn't have a firm enough arch, and hated them when I would borrow someones to run out with the trash or to get the mail, etc. Thought they fit sloppy, and felt like i was going to "fall" out of them.....I believed all of that UNTIL....Until I broke a bone in my foot last June in France on the DCL Med cruise. I couldnt get into my sneakers, let alone tie them. My Mom told me to try on her crocs....almost a year later she never got them back. It took a while to get used to them, as they do have a loose fit, but I owe a couple of pairs now, and will be getting both the Red Sox and Notre Dame in the future. I agree with the above poster about getting caught in the rain with them. And they are a breeze to clean, either in the dishwasher, or under running water. About the only time I don't wear them is out in the woods hiking.

CROCS are very comfy, but be careful!! Plantar faciitis and Crocs are definitely related - happened to me too. The foot doc explained to me that certain types of feet are prone to palntar faciitis and CROCS don't have the support necessary for those kinds of feet. It is still very comfortable for me to wear my Crocs, but I pay afterward with very sore feet.

NO (well not to me anyway)!! :sad2:

I bought three pairs of Disney Crocs (red, black, and pearly-pink) before Christmas, as they were having a big sale. I had never tried them before but thought they would be fine! I live in Ohio so I had yet to try them... until recently.

I wore the red ones about three hours before taking them off and driving home barefoot. Ugh! :scared1:

My problem is the soft rivet thing that holds the strap on the Croc rubs (equally, both feet) on the inner area of each foot.

Both feet had purple splotches, the left had some skin rubbed off even from it, and as I am diabetic... Crocs are out for me!

I guess I could put bandaids on the area where they rub, or maybe wear socks, and would be OK, but not without doing one or the other. I think Crocs are hideous looking enough without adding socks to the mix, so I don't see that option happening anytime soon!

My sister likes the pearly pink pair so I may give her those but I think I will ebay the remaining, new black pair.

I see so many in Crocs but for me they just did not work!
:confused3

Well it must depend on the Dr then because my podiatrist says crocs will be keeping him in business for a LONG time due to the fact they have no support for the foot and people that wear them a lot will eventually be seeing him!

I think you may have bought them too small. The Disney Crocs are made to fit loosely. Your foot should not be touching either side (actually they shouldn't touch anywhere but the bottom) when you're wearing them.
It sounds like you are sure you don't like them but, if not, you might try a larger size or they make the "RX" version specifically for diabetics.

I am also a convert! I bought DH mickey CROCS at the Emporium in MK on our last trip. I was a former Birkenstock girl on that trip my feet swelled after wearing my Birkenstock, so I turned to DH CROCS. Install my feet stopped hurting; the hurt so bad I spent a day @ Epcot on an electric scooter!:scared1: One day of the CROCS was all it took and I was hooked. I now own 5 pairs and I love them! The only pair that aren't comfortable are the Alice, I have to wear socks or they hurt my toes. My Mary Jane's are the most comfortable; I wore them last year to DC for DD class trip. We walked over 5 miles a day and my feet felt great!:thumbsup2

I agree with those who advise socks. With socks crocs are awesome... without them the bottoms of my feet were rubbed enough that they started to get sore.

I don't know if this has been mentioned on this thread, but you can use Bodyglide (in the running dept of sporting stores) goes on liek deordorant and dries and then voila! no rubbing!!!! I now use this for all sandals and am in love with it! You can do a search, there have been lots of thread re: Bodyglide and/or Crocs

Also as another poster mentioned, they are supposed to be loose fitting so if they rub, you may have bought them too small. Look at the fit guide to determine your size. It seemed off to have all that room around your foot, but it works!

my mother in law bought me a pair of disney crocs. (I never cared for the look of crocs, but thought i'd give em a try especially because they were disney.) Well they were too big for me (I was inbetween sizes).

Well I went to return them for a smaller size and the smaller ones were TOO small. They told me to try regular crocs because Disney crocs and reg. crocs were sized differently.

And they were!:wizard: I bought the regular ones and purchased the Disney jibbitz to go into them. I love them now and am thinking about buying a 2nd pair.

FYI, this winter I tried on the kind with the "furry" stuff liner, but I was also inbetween sizes in those...

Actually my foot slips around in them so they are by no means small. Apparently, with how my foot sits in them, that one particular area touches on each foot. :confused3 I do thank you for the heads up on the RX version for diabetics... I did not know about them, and I will look into them but definately will only buy if I can find them somewhere and actually can try them on before buying... to ensure I will not have that problem with them as well! :goodvibes

You know a warning that I never see is to watch out or you can shrink them. So here is my PSA for the day. Don't leave Crocs out in the sun or in a hot car. They will shrink (substantially). Before I quit wearing them, I accidentally left a pair outside and a pair in the car during the summer. I can't remember which one caused the worse shrinkage, but one pair shrank but I could still wear them, they were just snugger. The other pair I couldn't get my feet into they shrank so much.

Yes they are. I have 8 pairs now (I wear them to work too) and if they get wet they dry within minutes with no rubbing.
