Are both your parents still alive?

My Mum is alive, she's recovering from a major operation but my Dad died in 1998.

Sadly, both my parents have passed away. My mom just after my 15th birthday in 1981, and my dad passed away in 1995.

My Mom is alive and my Dad (actually step-dad, but he's the one that raised me) is also alive. My biological father has cancer and last time we heard anything was dying - this was over a year ago. He doesn't talk to me so I have no idea if he's still alive.

I am very fortunate to still have both of my parents. So does DH. I thank God every day for that.

My mom died in '97. A few years later I found out that my dad, who was never in my life, died back in '93.

It will be 10yrs this July 22nd that Dad passed away in his sleep. I never had the chance to say goodbye.
Mom's birthday is July 21st. We feel he waited.

I haven't had the best luck in this department. My mom and dad divorced when I was young. My mom met a fabulous man and she remarried. He died of leukemia when I was either 4 or 5. Then at the age of 11, my real dad died when a blood clot went to his heart. My mom remarried again to the man I will always call my DAD, but she died in Sept. of 1994. She was walking and was hit by a car.. Then in Jan. of 1996, my step dad died of a heart attack. He was watching the Super Bowl and it was the year that the Pittsburgh Steelers were facing the Dallas Cowboys. I think he got himself too worked up over that game.

Two years ago I had both of my parents and was so thrilled about it.

Today I have neither..... my heart will never heal.

My mom is 81, and she is still with me. Lost my Dad in 2001, he was 77. He went to sleep and never woke up. I miss my Daddy every day, I still can't believe he is gone.

My dad died in 1956 and my mom died in 1974. They were only 33 and 45 respectively.

My mom and my dad( is really my step dad) are both alive. I could not even tell you anything about my biological father, becasue I have never even met him before.

My Mom is very much alive. My 60 yr old Dad on the other hand is dying of a brain disease. It's a sort of dementia. It's so depressing to think that 4 yrs ago he walked me down the aisle and today he is confined to a bed and can only communicate by looking at us when we talk to him. Thank God he is at his home with my Step Mom and I see him every Wednesday, but it's so hard to see him like this that sometimes I don't even feel like he is really alive.

Sadly, my father passed away in 1996.. 5 months after DH and I were married. I miss him terribly.
