There is an excursion that we would really like to take in Hilo but it is sold out. What are the chances of us booking this excustion onboard the ship? Do they normally hold spaces open for onboard bookings? I just would like to know in case I need to reserve an alternate excursion.

Thanks in advance!

I think you can get on a waitlist. They don't allow cancellation of excursions while onboard, but guests can switch excursions, so some spots MIGHT open up.

Thanks for doing the Navigator.
Just now getting up to speed with this cruise. We are in 2568.
We are not doing the fish extender this time.
However, we are interrested in a few of the other group activities, if it is not too late. Such as the breakfast, character meet and greet, ect.

Looking forward to this once in a lifetime cruise and meeting everyone.:wave2:

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Hoping I can find a wine shop within walking distance of DL - Fivepin got me started drinking Rosa Regale on a previous cruise. I rarely drink - but that ? oh yeah!

Happy Day, all!
Hi Linda-
I had forgotten I introduced it to you!! I have already started looking up liquor stores .5 mile away from DL:
Wonderland Liquor
714-535-0127
1178 W Katella Ave

ABC Mart
714-778-2828
1765 S Harbor Blvd

Spirits of St. Germaine
714-999-5311
1770 Harbor Blvd #124

Pop the Cork Wine Bar
714-635-4321
321 W Katella Aves #305

I haven't called all to see if they carry Banfi or not.

Also found out the grocery VONS will deliver to the resort. I signed up and the first delivery will be free. I looked at the available delivery times left and we wouldn't be at the resort. Called VGC they will keep the stuff until we return but will not accept any alcohol in the delivery. Darn!! There was a pretty good selection online. Minimum delivery is $49-so I may use them to deliver the day we arrive, before we get to the resort, so that we can have some food and water and such.

I am using Karmel Shuttle from Airport to Candy Cane Inn to Port and back to Airport. There are only two of us and the van holds 6 or 8. I'm SURE it could be arranged to collect at VGC too - we are to be collected at 10 am. $58 for 2 people. Let me know if you would like to join the groups.

Thanks for the offer. I think we are going to leave a tad bit earlier. I will look into them from the Airport.
Hoping to see you before we get on the ship.

I'm sure that SEVERAL of the excursions that are listed as sold out will be available to book once you get on the ship.

I believe they also allow you to cancel an excursion up to 24 hours in advance, so some may open up as well once you get closer.

Since they changed the Hilo times, I tried to book an afternoon excursion in addition to my morning one, but the system won't let me. I may have to book once I get on the ship! :)

Thanks for doing the Navigator.

I just added your stateroom number to my list of cruisers (never know what I will need on board :upsidedow) and discovered where you live. We are in Indy. Flying to Orange County Airport Saturday morning on Delta. Any chance we will see you at IND?

And no Chip & Dale Either....

That is a shame as I like those cheeky chipmunks, too, but nowhere near as strange as that the main characters of a movie set in Hawaii are not featured

Corinna, are the jewelry workshops listed in your navigator with all the attendees for each workshop?

I didn't take note as to when mine were. I was hoping I could just see it in the navigator.

Yes, they are.

Corinna, I must have missed the post that had the times for the jewelry workshops listed. Can you please tell me when I am suppose to have my workshop and where it will be at? Thanks again,
Faith

I was just about to check, but I was beaten to it.

we fly out to la one week from today!!!!!!

We too

I found the post of jewelry times so here ya go!!

Thought I'd quote this since it's far back in case anyone missed it like me when it first posted!:)

Thanks for this. Much appreciated.

Things like the DIS Meet, PJ Breakfast, Mascot Meet, etc. are open to everybody without signing up.

OK....kind of a downer day. DW just found out that she has to have a knee replacement. She went through the injections, then knee surgery but the arthritis is killing her. Doctor wanted to do the injections again, but insurance company rejected since she has had them before. They feel that if they did not work the first time they won't work a second. I understand that to a certain degree, but they would rather spend $30,000 for a replacement than spend the money for the injections. Next problem, when to have the surgery. Four days in the hospital for surgery, one to two weeks in rehab hospital and then physical therapy. All told, about 3 or 4 months from beginnng to end. We have this cruise, a 5 day out of NY in September and then 7 night on the Fantasy in December. Guess she will have the surgery end of May or beginning of June. Then she can look forward to the September Canada cruise. It just does not get easier--guess that is what happens when you get old.....er.
Tom:cool1: & Marilou:cheer2:

So, sorry ~ Praying and hoping for the best of health for your wife and that your insurance company reconsiders! :grouphug:

OK guys, I love reading all of your exciting posts and I am so thankful for all of you that have added us in in the last minute for the FE's. But now I have NEWS!

We have just convinced my MOM (a very healthy 85 year old) to join the cruise! I have just spend the last 2 hours on the phone with the TA and then on line lining her up for all our events.

All I ask is if all you great folks that have stepped up to add us to your FEs and might have an extra to jot down her room number...6637 and drop something in her box. she would love it.
I don't want anyone to try and redo any lists or anything. You guys have already done much too much for all of us.

Thanks again, am soooo much more excited all of a sudden for this trip!
Elaine:banana::woohoo::yay::cool1::rotfl:

Yayyyy! No problem, we will add her, the more the merrier! pixiedust: :cool1:

Congrats Corinna on your passing your test, good luck to you in getting your British citizenship.

Starting to get really really excited for this cruise. :hyper: I can't believe how close is it now. Can't wait to get to meet all of you. I think the linked dinning is going to be so much fun.

Doubt it. Unless you are delayed. We fly out later. To LAX.
We are on Southwest this time. Bags fly free and all that. :)

The ABC is practically next door to where i'm staying - I'll check it out and text you - what are you looking for?

Hi Jan, I am back after a long absence from DIS. I am glad Mermaid's DH is okay. I am finally getting there too. My goal was to be well enough for the cruise. And since Cardiac Events are not new to me, neither are they a downer; so I agree with you.(Well, they are a downer for the person who has one...LOL.) Is good to be aboard. :goodvibes:grouphug:

Nice to read that you are doing well and in full gear! Welcome back and looking forward to meeting you and everyone else!

We wouldn't have had a mini-navigator w/o you, Corinna (not to mention the scavenger hunt, jewelry classes, etc.)!

Cindy, you were missing and I got what you added above. Did you want to mention DH and DD's names/dates?

You'd better be on this cruise! Or someone I know and love would cry! (And me, too!)

Thank you, so very much!
