We have declared my DD allergies in all 8 Disney Cruises and I their attention is amazing, I have never seen something like it in my life, other than Disney Cruise. We had Simone 2x before he was promoted to running the show in the dinning rooms and when ever we come across, he always remembers and lets the servers know about it.

So go ahead and DECLARE yourself, the attention and love you will receive is fantastic! pixiedust:

:thumbsup2

Have you seen him in his 'whites'? He did a great job in November taking care of our crowd. I think the vegetarian in our group had some better meals than we did. Simone got him a wonderful curry dish one night. He also brought out a fabulous cheese tray/appetizer the night of my birthday dinner and champagne for a toast. My six year old niece was wild over one of the French cheeses and asked her mom "How old do I have to be before we can go to France?" :lmao:

We are going to be spending 2 nights at the Doubletree and plan to visit a restaurant my daughter saw online a few years ago and we have always had on our "to do" list. It is called Kings Hawaiian Restaurant owned by the company that makes Kings Hawaiian breads. The menu is really intriguing and I think it is just the things to set the mood for the cruise :) it is 10 miles from hotel, but we have our car. I wonder if the hotel shuttle would go there?? My biggest debate is breakfast, lunch or dinner :confused3 maybe 2 out of 3 if good??

Here is a link if anyone wants to check it out:

just looked at bakery menu....new countdown for me ...8 days until we can eat there!!!

Doubt it. Unless you are delayed. We fly out later. To LAX.
We are on Southwest this time. Bags fly free and all that. :)

:thumbsup2 We prefer SouthWest but had enough frequent flier miles to get to Orange County airport on Delta so will try to limit luggage since we have to buy it a seat. And DH does not like LAX.......:confused3

Hopefully we will connect.

To everyone flying in, I have beat you all, I am already here. Oh wait, not fair, I live here. Well only 4 more days of work to go. Sat, Sun, Mon, and Tues. if anyone is using Southwest on Sun, Mon, or Tues and arriving after 4 PM at LAX, find me and say hi.

King's Hawaiian is AWESOME!! I love their french toast made with their signature sweet bread and coconut syrup. Their Kahlua pork for lunch or dinner is also great, but my vote would be for breakfast. Their bakery is mouthwatering. My favorites are the paradise cake and the fruit tarts. I think going there before the cruise is such a great idea!!!I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.
Other good hawaiian style restaurants are L&L Hawaiian BBQ and then there's also Back Home in Lahaina also known as The Loft depending on which city you are in. All really good and will give you that taste of Hawaii if you are wanting to start the vacation early.

Thanks Jennifer, we appreciate the local feedback :goodvibes

Also found out the grocery VONS will deliver to the resort. I signed up and the first delivery will be free. I looked at the available delivery times left and we wouldn't be at the resort. Called VGC they will keep the stuff until we return but will not accept any alcohol in the delivery. Darn!! There was a pretty good selection online. Minimum delivery is $49-so I may use them to deliver the day we arrive, before we get to the resort, so that we can have some food and water and such.

We attempted to do an order last night, but discovered when we eventually got to paying that they required the credit card used to be linked to a US zip code. As all our cards are UK based, we had to abandon our trolley in mid-isle :confused3:confused3

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

By next week this time, we'll be in California!!!!

Happy day, all!

I'm sorry to hear that. I just signed up yesterday but didn't put an order in. I was planning on doing that today. What day do you arrive? We arrive 4/27. If you arrive that day I have no problem addingyour stuff to our order. If you get there sooner, maybe you can hold on to my stuff till I get there. Let me know. I know it's free delivery with that first order. If you don't mind the delivery charge, I have no problem putting an order in for you.
If you want to do this just PM me. I can give you my info and let you know what room we're in once we check in at VGC

The ABC is practically next door to where i'm staying - I'll check it out and text you - what are you looking for?

We wanted to get some Banfi, but also if I can find the Enchanted Rose I discovered on the ship as well would be fantastic. It's a sparkling wine as well-a rose.Real name is Abbazia Malvasia Rose. I can't find it back home. Tried to order online from a couple of places, but can't ship to Florida. The places are based in California, so hoping to be able to find it out there. I will get that as my platinum gift and have you try it as well. :thumbsup2

Just popping in to wish you all a wonderful cruise. I know you will be beginning to set off on your vacations soon. I am still so sad we had to cancel and miss sailing with you. You should have a fantastic time.

If you would like, I could order it for you and you can pay me back when I see you. Let me know if you would like to do that.
