AP rates--Anyone else bummed out?

Would anyone with access to the annual pass website mind checking for me and see if anything has opened up at the GF from 12/2 -12/4?

A lot of you are saying some rooms are starting to open up so if no one minds checking I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much!!

Yikes so still no discounted rooms. I'm not having any luck. Does it make a difference if you put in 11/27-12/4. Those are all my dates I actually already have the first 5 nights discounted I've just had no luck on the last 2. Thanks so much for checking!

Very disappointed. I have been booked with a bb since May. I thought it would be easy to drop the one day ticket and switch to ap. Wrong nothing available at bwi unless I add another night and then everything is available. Well I can't add another night. Stuck with BWV studio room and not happy about it. I should be happy to get a discount, but I'm not. If ap discounts were released 2 weeks ago then ok, but the first day and nothing. I have never had this problem with availablilty before. I think disney is really limiting their discounted rooms.

I'm sorry you are disappointed. I like BWV - I actually changed from YC to BWV when I changed my BB to AP. For one thing, at the DVC resorts, the rates tend to be consistent throughout the week instead of increasing on the weekend. It's also nice to have somewhere to sit other than the bed. If you prefer a deluxe to a DVC resort, did you check BC or YC instead? I know the BW is in a great location, but I like all the Epcot resorts pretty much equally. I tend to stay in DVC if I'm going to be there more than a week though. I know they have been implementing some minimum stay requirements if you are checking in on a weekend (Friday or Saturday) - could that be why your availability shows one way and not the other?

I'm probably one of the few people coming back to this thread to boast that their price actually went up . . . .but the AP code covered the extra days I was looking for that my bounce back didn't, so now I can spend the whole 10 days at WDW instead of five! The bounce back and AP rates were identical (40% off), so there's no increase in the per night rate.

As far as availability goes, I checked online to see if I could get the resort I wanted with the AP code before calling to change my reservation. When I called, the CM said nothing was coming up available. I told her I was looking at it online, but she couldn't see it. So I booked online and then cancelled the bounce back reservation. I would encourage anyone who is being told on the phone that the resort or dates they want is not available to double check the website, just in case. They must be getting a lot of this going on because usually they ask me why I'm cancelling a reservation and this time they didn't.

It also depends on whether they have sold out on discounted rooms. But if I'd stayed at YC and rebooked for the 10 days, the quote showed higher weekend rates (still discounted, but higher - maybe $30 or so). Ditto for BC and BWI. But at BWV, I'm paying the same rate every night of my stay (and it's the same as the lower rate days at the deluxe resorts). Most of the time i have found this to be the case with the DVC resorts, but not always.

One of the biggest shocks I found while browsing was when I'd come across a resort that had sold out of discounted weekend nights, and the rate would nearly double for those nights. Talk about sticker shock!
