Bummed with what's so called available with the discounts.....

Resorts are available w/o offers but with offers forget it - and it was a bait and switch tonight with the CM telling me yes it was available and then tried to book at rack rate

I booked a room but it's not our ideal location. I'll just keep trying back but right now I'm very very frustrated!

I was up at 7am this morning to add FD to my package reservation...even though we have AP's I was going to take this discount and wait and see if anything was released for our dates 11/18 - 11/25. So I finally get through to a CM around 8am and am able to add FD to my package. I have to get 2 day base tickets, but whatever... While I am on the phone with the CM I offhandly mention that I will probably have to call back in a few weeks after AP rates are released, since we are AP holders and find out what promtion is better for us. She never said a word about AP rates being released too!!! So about 1/2 hour after hanging up, I am online here and see a post about AP rates! I check Mousesavers too and find out AP rates were released for all but two of my nights!!! Unbelievable...I called back and was on hold for about an hour. While on hold I was playing around with dates and resorts through the passholder site and finally just booked a new reservation. Enough of the waiting around!!!
I called a few hours ago and cleaned up my double bookings and explained what happened to the new CM, she was very nice and now I have only one booking. So the AP rate worked out much better for us than free dining.
We were originally booked at WL CL and w/ FD & 2 Day base passes the amount was $4273 but w/AP rate I had to change to Poly GV (no more CL) drop the 2 day tickets but I still added the DDP and my new rate was $3499...My original rate w/o any discounts for WL CL w/QSDP and 1 day base ticket was $4575 and they had my son at the wrong age, 9 instead of 10. So all in all...a great rate, a huge discount and we are staying at Polynesian, haven't stayed there since 1976!! My son was not happy, when I picked him up from Tennis Camp today and told him we were now staying at Polynesian instead of WL, he burst into tears!! He was saying "WL is the best resort at Disney! Why did you switch us??" I felt horrible, but not switching back!

I don't have an AP, but might get one if it enabled me to get the 40% discount - can anyone w/ AP WDW site access check availability for 12/9 - 12/19 @ YC-GV or YC-WV or even beach club same views for me - I suppose I could call, but hate to take time away from people trying to get through who know they want the discounts that dropped today.

Never mind just started working - yes Yacht Club GV and WV are availalble for all of those dates - around $225 a night. Hope this helps!!

I called tonight at about 9:30...waited about 45 minutes to get a CM. Anyway, got exactly what I wanted...Poly garden view for 12 nights end October / beginning November!!!!!!!!!!!!! The wait was annoying, but the result was great!! Originally, I had a pin that I was booked under...this gave me about $320 extra savings! Better than nothing!

Very disappointed. I have been booked with a bb since May. I thought it would be easy to drop the one day ticket and switch to ap. Wrong nothing available at bwi unless I add another night and then everything is available. Well I can't add another night. Stuck with BWV studio room and not happy about it. I should be happy to get a discount, but I'm not. If ap discounts were released 2 weeks ago then ok, but the first day and nothing. I have never had this problem with availablilty before. I think disney is really limiting their discounted rooms.

I too have been booked with a bounceback since May. I was disappointed because the bounceback deal was 35% off at the moderates and the AP discount is only 30% this time. We've always gotten 35% off at the mods. The bounceback dates didn't cover the first night of my trip (Nov 26th), so all I did yesterday was add that one night on at the AP discount, then kept the rest on the bounceback. They are the same category room, so hopefully they won't make me switch rooms. I had the CM link them as a continueing stay.

It took 6 hrs. V. nice how WDW did it this yr-NOT. Did not get Y&B as it was full-not even offering FD. Got the AP holders at 40% for BoardWalk

After much waiting, we got BC water view at 40% off AP rate for Nov 1-6 (might shave a day off) Can't wait to enjoy F&W!

I would be careful about shaving a day off. I was told that there might be minimum night stays for the discount. Example I could get what I wanted for 6 nights,but not 5. I 'm not sure how this works when you are modifying, and already have a room booked.

I had a savannah view studio at AKL Jambo booked. Nothing available at Jambo for my dates at all under the AP discount (and very little rack rate either). So I didn't save any money. AKL and savannah views are very important to us, so I didn't want to change resorts.

But for exactly the same price, I moved over to Kidani in a 1 BR villa savannah view! Since I was going to pay that anyway, why not get a little more room?

Hey all. I'm looking to book during Jersey week - 11/10 - 11/14 for 3 rooms. My wife and I are Fla residents and will get an AP...does the discount still work for Seasonal Passholders? Also, if the other two rooms are for our parents who are NOT Fla passholders, can we still book under our AP and get the rate?

For the AP discount, seasonal annual passes can be used. As far as having multiple rooms for the AP discount, you or your wife would have to be listed in the other rooms for the AP discount.

So for your parents to get a discount, your parents would need an AP or you or your wife would have to stay in the room with them.

Thank you, yes it did help and based on your info. I went ahead and got an AP for my adult son and applied the 40% discount to the room and still saved about $1400.

That's awesome!!! We just our first AP's in April of this year. But after yesterday and the substantial savings we may continue to get them! We only got them because we had three and now it is four trips planned with in a year and it made sense. I of course want to keep renewing, but DH doesn't see the need! I think we could edge closer to my way after the nice discount and the change to Poly!!

I looked on a night by night basis, the only availability at the GF is 12/2-12/4, but there is a theme park view available for those nights for just over $1300. Good luck!

Disney doesn't care about your sleeping arrangements. The roomss have to boked in ap holders name, but yor wife does not have to sleep in the rom with them.

and this is why i love a good disney travel agent. i work nights and was sleeping when the ap rates came out. when i woke up i had an email with my new reservation- saving $600 for Coronado Springs. love my travel agent.

I got an AP rate at the WL for 12/9-13 and am doing the happy dance! They had Woods and Courtyard views available for those dates. Saved about $300 for the 4 nights.
