Anyone else bummed out that AP rates were released the same day as Free Dining? It was bad enough that the AP rates were released AFTER free dining, but now I cannot even get through to try and get an AP rate. Sometimes Disney makes me :furious:

Yes!!!
I've been waiting for them to come out (first time booking AP) and I was shocked they came out today.:scared1:
Can't get through...of course.:sad2:
What's expecially annoying is that there is a dedicated phone number for resort only booking and it shouldn't be as busy but obviously the number doesn't mean anything and all the FD package bookers are filtered through the same way.
Well, good luck to everyone trying to get what they want, FD or AP! Lots of excitement today!

Only thing that really stinks is the current AP rate ends 10/1 and the new one starts 10/3. I have a reservation booked checking out 10/2 but want to stay til 10/4. Cant' stay on site for the remainder since they jump the 2nd.

Very frustrating. I wonder sometimes how they think that's logstically sound -- to open FD and AP rates at the same itme. Crazy.

I tried calling three times and figured phones will be down or spotty all day -- so I booked AP room only online. I would have preferred to modify existing -- but I'm guessing by the time the phones are up, and the wait time is less than an hour, the room I want will be out of inventory.

Good luck all!!

I tried dialing from office phone and cell phone. Got through on cell then waited 45 min only to be told that AP WAS NOT available for my Fort Wilderness full hookup dates in December, only for tents/popups. We do have a backup reservation at POP in case gas is too high to pull our trailer and that I was able to get at AP rate. While I was on hold for 45 minutes, I tried booking on line through AP site, and I got the same message, I was only able to book a tent/popup site so I was pretty sure when they came on the line they were going to tell me the same thing.:rolleyes1

So, still hoping and praying I can get FW AP rate or at least AAA rate, but I call constantly and nothing.:confused3

It is available on the passholder website. Beware, some discounts are at some resorts and not all. I was checking for Oct. 15th (Sat night). I got a super great of $74 at Music, but at Pop is was over $100, so check different resorts because the same discount rate may be lower at the same level resort. Looks like the discount is 40% off at villa/delux and 30% off at mod/value

When I read about the AP Rates this morning, I hopped on the passholder site and booked my room. I have another room only reservation for the same dates that I need to cancel now, but I'm going to wait until things die down in a couple of days.

Please help me if anybody know information to my question.:flower3:

If I order an annual pass online now, will disney allow me to enter the passholder site to check availability online ?
Or I still have to wait for the voucher or whatever comes in the mail to check?
Can't get through at all.:confused3

Thanks in advance!

I got through on the 3d attempt, first 2 were "all circuits busy" calls. Got right through the queue, and straight to an agent [I guess b/c I said I was not booking a package?] Changed to an AP resservation and was done with the whole process in no time flat. I was also able to pull it all up online....try again :goodvibes

I remember having to enter my actual passholder # (on the back of my ticket) when I registered online. So, I'm guessing you are going to have to try your luck on the phones.

Sorry, you have to wait for the voucher. You won't have the number otherwise, and the system won't tell you the number.

When I ordered my AP by phone, the agent was able to give me my number right away so that I could log in to the website.

:flower3:Thanks very much for all the replies!

I think the ticket people are the same pool of CM for reservation.......:sad2:

Could someone please be so kind to tell me the AP discount dates? Do I have to buy the AP when I make the reservation or just before check in? Thanks so much!!!

You only need to show it at check in, not to make the reservations. When I made mine this morning they didn't even ask me for a number and my confirmation says I need it at check in.

I'm on hold if anyone who can access the passholder website could they check these dates for me:

11/20-11/23 GF garden or TPV

and

11/27-12/4 GF TPV

thanks so much!!!

I was thrilled just to get AP rates, and pretty good ones at that!!! I was only on hold maybe ten minutes after getting through the auto attendant. Total call was 30 minutes, but I was paying with a bunch of gift cards and we checked several resorts for availability before deciding.
