My family will be visiting WDW in August. We will be getting annual passes. I'm concerned about fastpass+. Since we wont have tickets I can't reserve any till we arrive. I don't want to get them in advance. I live in NE and will not be able to use them before Aug so it's not cost effective.Disney store near me does not offer vouchers or 9 day tickets. If I call to order them will they activate them then. If I get the vouchers woud I still be able to use fastpass+ or because it's a voucher is it hopeless. I liked the regular fastpass, now it seems you don't stand a chance if you haven't reserved first. Any help?

the "time" on the AP doesn't begin until you activate it. no wasted time!! i'm still new w/the FP+ so i will let someone else answer that!

As long as there is a valid ticket linked to your MDE then you will be able to book 30 days out and if you have a resort stay and valid ticket you will be able to make FP+ 60 days out.

Think of it like this you would noramally buy a multi day park hopper it only starts the countdown on the first day you use it not when you purchase it. the same goes for AP's. I just bought my PAP's for my august trip

I understand when you get the voucher, you can link it to your MDE and then book FP+. So if you order it before you go, you'll have a way to book them ahead. It is not activated until you go to the park and activate it at Guest Services. That's when your one year period begins.

I am buying park hopper tickets for when i am there in august now and then upgrading them once i get there to annual passes so i can book fast passes now :)

I purchased my APs last month and am not going to Disney until August. I received my APs in the mail and was able to link them to MDE. I called Disney's IT (407-939-7765) and they quickly and easily helped link my AP vouchers to MDE. I am staying on property and have my resort reservations also linked to MDE and I will be able to make FP+ selections 60 days out. If you are not staying onsite you can still link your APs - you just have to wait until 30 days out to make FP+ selections.

You will still need to activate your AP vouchers when you get to Disney. You can do this at any ticket booth or guest services at any park (from what I understand you cannot activate APs at your resort if you stay onsite).

The AP is valid from day of activation. So though I have my vouchers now, my AP won't be active until Aug. 21 (day we arrive at Disney) and then for the year following that.
