The only combination not disallowed is the parks issuance of the AP discount and the reward/percent back your credit card issuer awards on the transaction.

Like with Disney, the AP, DVC and Chase card discounts do not stack. Not even the Landry discount/points incentive at Rainforest Cafe stacks with the AP discount.

To maximize my discounts for Disney I buy their GC from BJs for 4% off using a credit card that gives me 2% cash back. Sometimes they bump it to 5% and that’s when I get a few extra. The GC can be used with the Disney AP or DVC for a discount on the order if 15% to 19%. Sadly it means my Chase Disney card it just wallet candy for most Disney transactions. I use it where the DVC/AP discount isn’t applied (some character dining, cruises).

So just wanted to mention this as it was interesting to me and I don't recall seeing it mentioned.

At the desk where they are trying to get people to get the Universal Credit cards near security I asked about getting the HHN for people that are already a card holder and he didn't really think you could other than calling and saying you want to cancel.

the interesting part was he said I may want to wait for the new card he said was coming soon - its a HP card but when you tap it the wand lights up in some manor. I did think that was kind of cool so I may wait and see on that before I change out my card.

I tried getting the card last Halloween, albeit after Halloween passed. I wasn't able to but it did seem like something that could be done during the period when the design is available. I hope they have options other than potter, preferably something like what was available last year.

I just got the card and was sent the HHN one. If another design comes out, I hope it's like the Disney card where you can choose a different design online. I'd love a HP design.

Adding various places at Epic to the list of no-idea-how-to-do-this-discount.

Specifically Meteor Gastropub & Frosty Moon - but since 2 of the 2 places I tried it were confused, I'm guessing it's a widespread problem.

I ended up getting the next level of AP that includes food discounts since the card still does not work in the app automatically.

In the end I'll probably break even - and it probably was a bad choice to butt that pass just for food discounts when the card should just work

Interestingly they added language that the discount is not valid for mobile orders in CityWalk/Islands/Studios, but is valid for Epic mobile orders as a "statement credit."

If that really works, I'm down for it. When we went in Studios and Islands back in March, I truly missed mobile ordering, but I wanted my discount. I'll be anxious to hear reports from folks who use it to see if the statement credits show up.

We hit Epic for a couple of days in July, and I would much rather mobile order.

I feel like you really have to mobile order at Epic - they really don't want you to order at the counter.
I feel like they need a mobile order option with pay at the counter and then when you get to your table you can enter the table number and have it delivered.
I said it earlier - but its really difficult as a solo traveler to order at the counter.

I bought power passes this year and signed up for the no annual fee cc. On our trip I probably didn't get a discount the majority of the time. They just don't ask like Disney does, and then they force you to mobile order at food places. Ate at 3 broomsticks and Leaky Cauldron, $100+ orders & because I mobile ordered didn't get a discount when I think they both participate.

I bought the $300 merch only gift card to get a free wand (from the options of select wands, this really wasn't a perk but "free" is free). The employee did apply the CC discount for the purchase (3 wands) and let me pay with the just bought gift card. I guess they are not supposed to do that if you're not paying with the card, but he was kind of enough to do so. I had on and off again success with this on future transactions.

Outside of Wizarding World, UO merch doesn't appeal to me or the family. So big savings there! I think there's still a small balance on that merch gift card and I'm not even sure where I put it.

The whole discounting at UOR is just bad. Not a fan. I'm also more of a newbie when it comes to Universal, there are parts of Studios we didn't even see on our 3 park days Good news is we should be back for at least one more trip to get use of the APs. Likely won't renew unless they add Epic and value is there.

I cant disagree - but it sounds like they are moving towards statement credits - at least at Epic.

Will be interesting to see how that plays out and if it actually works.

I was just at Epic, and I realized that too, that if you are mobile ordering, there's no place to add the discount. I did save quite a bit on purchases tho.

I believe at Epic, you will receive the discount as a statement credit when you mobile order.
