Anyone use the new Universal Credit card?

You do get your AP discount when using the Mardi Gras food card. Order your food then show your AP card for discount first then give them the Mardi Gras food card.

Just a heads up - I saw this on Rix Flix last night.

They have booths in the park now and you can be instantly approved and a card printed out then and there.
It was added in the last couple of days.

The bigger thing is if you get the standard card they give you two $50 gift cards.
If you get the $99 a year card - they give you three $50 gift cards.

They give you them there and then.
Too bad it was not there when I was.

I'd say yes, the CC account website offers that option. It looks quite easy to do.

Does it give any discounts or cash back on rooms? Or just purchases at the parks/citywalk

I hope they extend the offer through May :rolleyes1. I was thinking about getting the card, but extra incentives are always a plus!

Question - was anyone able to take advantage of the gift card offer?

One of the streamers was complaining that you only get the gift card if you approved immediately.
The card was approved later and he got the bill for 100 annual fee but does not get the gift cards.

He claims his credit is perfect. Anyway just wondering what other ran into as I was waiting to take advantage of that offer, but may just get the card sooner so its all done with..

Today I got the $99 fee card and got 4 $50 gift cards and a voucher for 2 coke freestyle souvenir cups. I like that they print the card there and hand it to you. I don’t know where the visa lounge is though.

I believe it’s shortly after the entrance gates at Studios.

The new USA lounge Opens at noon , I think, located close to the First Aid Guest Services inside Universal Studios.
The lounge is very chilly AC cold and clean and offers bottled water & snacks. Can’t remember but I think it closed at 5 daily.
I applied inside the Park and got card immediately and the 4 Gift Cards total $200 and used them to pay for Cabana Bay Reort stay!
There is a $99 yearly fee.
They also allow 4 guests to relax with you inside the lounge ( maybe 5 ) .

I wouldn't worry about what he said. Anyone who describes their credit as "perfect" does not understand how credit scores and credit approvals work.

That sounds normal, there is another option with a MSR for a statement credit. The streamer should call the bank and clarify. They aren’t going to hand out gift cards just for applying.

Agreed, but you should get the gift cards if you approved later instead of the statement credit.
Main thing is If the credit card company was being shady I did not want to wait until i was there to apply.
Credit Card company's are often shady, the are as bad as loan sharks IMO.

FYI: - Look like they are now offering a $300 statement credit when you spend 1000$.

Wow, when we applied it was $100 credit, but it washed out the 1st yr annual fee. Seems like a great deal.

Hey all, I know this is an older post from this year, and they still have the $300 credit statement on the $99 fee card. Was thinking this might be a decent move for saving a few on 4 HHN tickets and EPs. But does anyone know if they are still doing this in the CityWalk area. Meaning are they still giving out gift cards when you sign up and are approved there instead? Also, (and I'll look for pictures elsewhere here) how is the lounge? Has anyone really taken advantage of it's use?

When we were there in July we saw them offering 2 free express passes for the day. Not sure if that was on top of the 300$ credit.

A $300 credit isn’t particularly good for a new credit card. Do they still offer the $200 in gift cards up front plus the $300 statement credit after the $1000 in spend? $500 still isn’t that great for a new card but it’s at least reasonable and when you add in some of the other benefits it might get me closer to signing up. Normally my minimum for a new card is $600.
