Anyone stayed at the Doubletree Club lately? You know, the big Pineapple? ANYONE?!!!

Hi all,
Making a pit stop in Orlando soon and will be staying at the Doubletree Club using my Hilton points. Does anyone have anything good to say about this hotel? Bad? Any opinions are welcomed.

It's a nice, clean , convenient hotel. We used to stay there all the time but latley the rates have been kind of high.
there is an Au Bon Pan in the lobby, and a nice lobby bar. how amny points did they charge you to stay there?

I am using 30,000 points for three "free" nights. Then I am paying an Internet rate of $63.20 per night for two more days. I found the rate on Doubletree's website--it was actually the lowest price I could find!

Thanks, that's not bad.
If you're at gold status, ask for an upgrade. they have been really good about upgrading us to a kids suite when we have been there. Call a few days ahead and ask for it.

I'm only at Silver status

So you called the front desk directly prior to your trip and asked for an upgrade? I've never done that before. Should I try anyway?

With gold you get an automatic upgrade *if available*. When you check in just ask, it can't hurt.
