Anyone on Jenny Craig?

OK friends.....convince me that I did the right thing....I talked to my consultant about what happens after the 20 pounds for 20 bucks is over, and to continue on and maintain, I signed up for the rewards. It sounded like it made the most sense. He was going to redo my order so I got the 10% off this order too.

BUT....I'm agonizing over the additional $$$ I just spent on the sign up cost. Yes, I got the discount on today's order (for four weeks of food) but I probably should have done this from the time I started, 4 weeks ago. I do plan on doing for the next few months.

I did lose another pound this week. 12 so far!!!

You absolutely did the right thing!! That program is the most successful for clients. It's totally worth the money. If I left the company I would definitely buy Rewards.

Mandy~ thanks for that info, i cant wait til after easter to find out whats going on!!:goodvibes im still bummed that discontinued the meatloaf!!! and the peanut butter anytime bar!!!:confused3

Jackdis~i think u totally made the right decision!!!  i signed up for the $20 as well but plan on switching to the rewards. i wanted to make sure the diet was for me and that i was gonna stick to it before i spent the money. so i think u did it perfectly. its better to try the diet out first to see if u like it before jumping into a costly program without knowing!!;) you are doing so good on it it will be 4weeks for me on wednesday and still just 5 pounds so good for u:cool1:

hope u girls are having a good weekend!! its so rainy and dark here...

They didn't discontinue either!!! The meatloaf was recalled by the government, but we still have it!! Giood meat that is...we just recalled some with certain dates. And the peanut butter anytime bars are getting revamped (and they are AWESOME!!) Keep your eyes peeled!!

Mandy~Oh thank goodness!!!! the meatloaf was my favorite. i guess when i placed my order it was around the recall time and the girl told me it was discontinued along with the salisbury steak. well im glad to hear its not!! and i cant wait to try the new peanut butter bar!! yay!! :goodvibes

Thanks for the info... you had me scared... I live for the PB anytime bars... .they satisfy my peanut butter cup cravings....

I am still upset that they did away with the chicken strips and rice and the beef sirloin and rice entree's.... I am not a huge pasta fan and the rice dishes were a welcome change...

To all of you who signed up for the rewards program - welcome... it is definitely the way to go....

Morning girls! How's it going this week??

I went for a walk last night and I slept so good and have so much energy today!!

HI Everyone,
Sorry I haven't posted.....it's been a crazy week.

I'm down another pound as of this morning, and I will admit, I ate way off plan at Disney, down to a Mickey bar and a cheeseburger!!! But as soon as we came back, I got back on track.

I had ordered 4 weeks of food to be delivered the day AFTER we returned, but it was here the day BEFORE. I called and they shipped new food, but the man I spoke to said to me that I should think about getting myself a new consultant. I can't get that out of my head. Not good customer service when one rep. knocks another, huh?

I did read Valerie's book on the plane. Excellent reading material....lots of sex, drugs and rock and roll.

How is everyone else doing this week? I need to start increasing my activity. I keep saying I will get on the treadmill, but I don't. I'm hoping for a nice weekend so that I can go for a walk outside.

Happy Friday!!:)

Hi Gang,

I have been out of town for the past 4-5 days and have not been on program at all. I had talked to my consultant about this and agreed that I would do the best that I could and deal with the results when I got back so keep your fingers crossed.

I am actually looking forward to getting back on plan again... I missed my routine...

Have a great day tomorrow,

I'm more of a forum observer than a poster, but I came across this last night, and figured it may be beneficial for me to participate over here. Allow me to introduce myself; my name is Melissa and I am a lover of Disney, food, and well. . .Disney food. :rotfl: As a Florida Resident (and Annual Passholder) I frequented the World, and after participating in a magical moment as a "honorary Great Movie Ride hostess," I knew I wanted to be at WDW Cast Member.

Upon completion of High School in 2004, I moved from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando in order to begin my degree in Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida. As a freshman, things were great; at 5 foot 1 and 112 pounds, I was at the ideal "healthy" weight; I felt fit, energetic, etc. Within a few months of being in Orlando, I started working at Walt Disney World, and truly just couldn't be happier.

Soon, all of my friends were Cast Members, and together we truly took advantage of our Dining Discounts. we'd eat at places like Boma, O'hanas, Chef Mickey's, Liberty Tree, SciFi, and Le Cellier on a regular basis. . .and trust me, it all tasted fantastic! My friends and their speedy metabolisms barely gained anything, but now, in my last semester of college, I find myself weighing in at about 180-190 pounds.

Things were getting out of hand, I attempted a Weight Watchers at work program, where I attended backstage at Animal Kingdom. . .but counting calories, points, etc. just didn't feel convenient enough for me. . .plus it was awkward for me to discuss my weight with my peers. So now, as of this past Thursday(3/13) I am on Jenny Craig. So far, I feel great! The meals are pretty tasty, not to mention convenient! I won't know until Thursday when I am officially weighed in, but on my personal scale, I've lost 4.8 lbs already (which I'm sure is just water weight, but still, a step in the right direction!)

I foresee a lot of temptations, with the parks being my personal stomping ground. I am surrounded by Mickey ice cream bars, popcorn, and turkey legs on a daily basis.

You all seem to be doing great so far, it's definitely an inspiration!

Starting Weight: 183.4

Melli,

Welcome!!! Another Disney lover! Yay!!!! We just got back. Can't wait to go again!!!

Well, what to report?? I'm back on track. I actually lost another pound when I weighed in on Friday. Down 13. Woo hoo.....

My regular consultant was unavailable for my call on Friday night, so another consultant called. She was sooooo motivating. I ended up switching to her! I feel a little bad. The other one didn't do anything wrong, really, but I just felt more motivated by her.

I already walked three laps today. My goal is to walk the track three times this week to get the exercise part going for me.

Hope everyone is well!!

Today's menu was rough for me :scared: It took some real determination not to cheat, but I made it!!! Well, I know now to scratch the Breakfast Scramble and Turkey Burger from my list of items.

On top of not liking my first two meals of the days, I went to the Disney-MGM, errr, I mean Disney's Hollywood Studios to see Block Party Bash with friends. The friends I went with had Peanut Butter and Jelly milkshakes from PrimeTime Cafe (one of my favorite theme park beverages), and it took everything in my power not to order one, let alone take a sip of one of theirs when offered. . . I was thankful for my Chocolate Peanut Butter Anytime Bar.

I told my friends right off the bat about joining Jenny Craig, and they all seemed to be supportive upfront. None of them have had to worry about dieting before, so I'm sure they don't think anything of it, but boy was it hard to resist temptation when they kept offering and saying things like "A sip/bite won't hurt."

I survived today, so I definitely believe that I can continue to resist these challenges. . .but it sure isn't easy!

I just randomly searched google for "jenny craig slip ups" and i came across this interesting message board! I can't believe it's on a site dedicated to disney, i LOVE disney and just was there in january.

anyway i am writing because i joined jenny craig on march 10th, so i've been on the program for a little over a week. i like most of the food and lost 3.6 lbs the first week. can't complain so far. but i have a few issues that i'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing. first of all, i'm big on the nightlife which is SO hard for me now! i drink ketel one vodka and club soda and don't really want to give it up. i know i have to drink in more moderation now, but is there a way to fit it in? it was rough last weekend, since it was st. patty's day and i slipped up a little bit, but not terribly. and i stuck to the eating plan, even cut a few things out to substitute the alcohal. i'm on the 1200 calorie plan which is def an adjustment in itself! my goal is to lose 30lbs overall, and close to 20 by may 15th, when i go to myrtle beach.

today was a rough day. i have noticed i'm STARVING between lunch and dinner. i'm not sure why, but that's the roughest part of my day. any suggestions on what to do about that? also: today, after about 10 days of no snacking outside of jenny food, i cheated and grabbed a few small handfulls of cheezits...i feel horrible about it, but so satisfied lol. i'm going to the gym in a little while for 40 min cardio and a 45 min gravity class, so i guess that will work them off, but i'm debating if i should just skip my dinner and have a huge salad w/ all veggies instead. i have weigh in on friday and don't want to gain! HELP! thanks guys i look forward to hearing from you :)

Melli,
That was definitely a test and you passed with flying colors! Congrats!
I don't like the breakfast scramble either, but I do like the sunshine sandwich and the other egg sandwich.
We saw the soft opening of Block Party Bash last week when we were there. I thought it was fantastic! Did you enjoy it?

I did enjoy it! Very high energy!!! I was there for the Cast Member preview a few weeks ago, but it ended up being rained out! My boyfriend works for Entertainment Safety, and was responsible for writing the Operating Guidelines for the Bash. . .it's really all I've been hearing about for the past 6 months, I can say I was definitely impressed.

Today was kind of another rough day. . .it started off well, until my boyfriend got into a serious accident on I4. Just as I was getting ready to heat up my JC dinner, I received the phone call and pretty much ran out of my apartment. Luckily, everyone is okay. . .injuries were minor (though his car was totalled). His family came out to the scene of the accident with me, and they all insisted on going out to dinner (since it was really late on in the evening, and we were all hungry.) I happened to have one of the JC dressings in my purse, so I ordered a Caesar Salad without the cheese, croutons, or dressing. . .I guess I didn't fall too far off track.

Tomorrow is weigh in day. . .I've lost 8 lbs on my personal scale, but we'll see what tomorrow brings. Wish me luck :)

Melli,

That was a great choice for eating at a restaurant! And you even had your dressing with you. I hope your boyfriend is ok.

I was laughing about the part that the Block Party is all you've heard about for the last six months. :) :) :)

I'm on week 3 and I've experienced the same thing. I've started saving one of my dairy servings so that I can have low fat cheese & veggies mid-afternoon. The protein in the cheese seems to keep me satisfied until dinner.

Don't feel bad about the Cheezits. I was at Disneyland last Saturday and had an oatmeal raisin cookie. I still lost 2.8 lbs at weigh-in.

JohnZ - I agree with you on eating some protein for my afternoon snack. I am on the 1700 calorie plan so I get an afternoon snack of 1 meat, 1 bread and 1 fat in the afternoon. I rarely eat the fat and sometime save the bread to eat with dinner, but I almost always have a string cheese or something about two - three hours after lunch. That keeps me going to dinner.

Hope everyone is having a great week.

Girls, make sure you are getting ALL your servings in...I know we sometimes have a tendancy to skip the fat or carbs but you are shorting yourself on calories and food groups. Make sure you are eating EVERYTHING in your day. I promise it will pay off!!

Today is the day for the new menus!!! Anyone been to a consultation yet??

Also, there are some new foods coming...Red, White and Blue Cheesecake in May and Quesadillas at some point (no date yet). Also have you tried the new anytime bars?? YUM!

I am sick right now, nasty virus, so am not eating much of anything. I super tired and wish I could lay in bed ALL day. YUCK.

I went today and got some of the breakfast burritos! I think I may be stocking up on those as they said they are seasonal.

I also got some of the anytime soups/free soups. I got one of each to try them. I also got one each of the new salad dressings. I WISH they would come out with a blue cheese! But I am very happy they have a new Asian dressing.

Dawn

MainStMandy-
Hope you are feeling better....

I have my consult. tonight. I lost 2 more pounds as of this morning - 15 so far, but I had a very rough weekend. Once I started with the Easter candy, it was hard to stop! Ugghhh....
Tomorrow I am back to work, so that will make it much easier to get back on track, I hope.
I did walk three times this week. That might have saved me!!
Have a good week everyone!
I keep thinking "summer at the beach and the pool" - that is my motivation.
