Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone is well. Belle, just hang in there! I am sending you good vibes for this week!!!

We had a great trip. I am talking to my consultant on Friday night. When we got home I weighed and saw a 2 pound gain, but today I am down two, back to an 8 pound loss so far!!! My goal for the trip was to at least be at the same weight at before the trip after being home for a few days. Crossing my fingers......I got right back on program the first morning we were back. (After having some Popeye's chicken on the ride home from the airport!)

The cruise and New Orleans was amazing. I was on plan the first day, took my foods with me. Met a girl on the plane who was eating her tuna kit as I was eating my cereal. LOL...

Then, I tried to be sensible, but I will be honest, I figured, I am not in NOLA and on a cruise to not try new things. I would share MOST of my things with my daughter, cutting down on portion size. I walked and swam a ton to try to make up for extra calories. I did not go crazy with desserts, even thought I wanted to! And yes, on the beach in Mexico, I had more than my share of margaritas and tequilla. Sorry, girls.....LOL....

What is new with everyone? I missed you guys, too!!!
:) :)

Welcome back Jackie.... It is nice to have you back and sounds like you had a great trip... To stay the same (or even to have put on a few pounds) over vacation is an amazing feat and to think you went to NOLA where the food is just amazing says even more about you... Any way you look at it, I think it is a success - no matter what your weigh in for the week is....

Can't wait to hear more about the trip...

Hey Jackie :) Great job while you were gone. Maintaining your lost weight is the ultimate goal of the program and you were a success!!

I don't know if I mentioned that I am thinking about doing the Everest challenge...we are thinking of cruising in September and this will be my great motivation to start and tone up. I would be happy losing another 5-7 lbs too. I have my eye on this great bikini with pirate skulls from Victorias Secret that would be perfect for the cruise!!!

Have a great day girls...what's everyone eating today??

Your vacation plans sound fun.... Keep us posted on the Expedition Everest challenge...

As for me, I am eating multi grain hoop cereal for breakfast, my favorite Turkey Burger for lunch and I haven't decided between the lentils with beef or the turkey dinner yet... I'll decide on that based on my mood later tonight... Have a great day everyone...

Hey girls...just had my monthly consultation. I think it went rather well. My problem is that I can eat like a pig but not gain weight. So I am not really healthy and have very little motivation to stick to a menu. I talked to my consultant about my goals and how she can help me get organized. She helped me plan some of my meals and what I am going to do for activity next week.

I know it sounds silly that I run a Jenny Craig but I have troulbe staying on track. I have lost 10 lbs and 11 inches since starting last June and that was on Maintenance so that's a success. I guess I can advise others but sometimes forget about me :(

That trip sounds great! Go for it!!

I am eating grapes and cheese right now. Stuffed chicken sandwich was lunch. Tonight it's a big salad and lasagna.

Just wondering: Are there certain foods that are lower sodium options on JC?

Also, I am not receiving email notifications - again! Anyone else having the same problem, or is it just me?

I will write a little more about our trip. Maybe another trip report? Would anyone be interested? I would love to do it with pictures this time around.....I'll see how crazy life gets in the next few days.

Next challenge: Going to see my mom in Florida in a week and a half for a few days....three days at Disney planned too!! I figure all that walking will be good for burning up those extra calories. After that, no trips for awhile!

Ok, I have a consultation tomorrow. Our area still does the rewards program so I want to get in while that is still in place.

Some people have said that you need to spend a min. of $50/week on food to stay with JC. We have a place here that gets overstocks of JC food and I would like to incorporate that into my program as I just don't have the $400-$500/month to spend on top of reg. groceries for my family.

Anyway, I am really wanting to make this work. Nothing else is right now.

I've been wondering about this myself......I signed up for the 20 pounds for $20 promotion in January. (Plus the cost of food.) I'm down 11 so far. I probably will want to do another 10-15 pounds after I lose that initial 20 pounds.

SO.....what do I do then?? What would be the best way for me to continue with JC? I don't want to have to pay a huge amount just to lose another 20 pounds maximum. Does this make sense? Can I join up again with another promotion? I think I heard something about $36 for 6 weeks or something like that on tv. Or can I just keep buying food as long as I spend a certain amount each week?

I had my consult last night, and I was so excited to be down another 3 pounds that I guess I didn't even think to ask him about all this....

Thanks for any info. you can give me.....

I think the woman on the phone told me that if you plan to stick with it for at least 10 weeks (and buy all JC food) that it is worth it to get the rewards, but I am sure they are basing that on their highest amount of food per day
($18).

You can get another 6 weeks for $36.

I need to keep the cost low if possible. I cannot pay $126/wk for JC food, plus another $30 or so for grocery food and then another $100/wk for food for my family.

I have heard that some people eat their own b-fast. I will just have to see what I can do after I talk to them.

Dawn

Shoot....so I probably should have started with the rewards package, not the $20 for 20 lbs. I definitely want to stick with this. It's been 4 weeks so far and next week I will be ordering another 4 weeks of food. I'll have to figure out what to do after I lost those 20 pounds.

Thanks.

The only way I would reccomend someone start with a trial (20 lbs for $20) is if they only 10-15 lbs to lose and have NEVER had a weight problem.

My franchise has done away with Rewards (we have something similar) but it looks like the company as a whole is doing away. It offers the MOST support. IF you don't chose this program you will not recieve any help as to how to stop eating Jenny Craig foods and eating your own while MAINTAINING your weight (maintenance). It really is the best option and will help you keep the weight off long term.

As far as spending $50 a week it really is to ensure you are staying on the program 100%. I have clients who like to incoporate thier own foods but we don't encourage it. In fact, if they do too many of their own foods I won't let them schedule consultations. #1 the program is designed a certain way for the most successful weight loss. #2 my consultants are NOT nutritionist so if a client isn't following the JC program, their isn't much we can do in a consultation. The consultations are really what makes the program so different than others.

If you have any other questions, I would be happy to answer them :)

Thanks, Mandy. I wish the person I talked to would have told me that when I joined.....I did the $20.

So now, what do you recommend I do at the end of my 20 pounds?? I would still like to lose another 15-20 after that, I think..... What would be the best for me? Without costing a fortune........ Thanks....

Hi All

I am on JC but I am considering leaving it becuse of the food. I have a problem with sodium and all of the foods taste the same to me now. So here is an offer that can't be beat - anyone want to buy some food from me at 1/2 the cost! I live near Seattle WA

Just thought I would offer it up. I support JC and have lost weight with them before but I am so boared with the food now that I find myself eating other things so time to bail on this and start something new.

Please PM me if you are interested

Have you tried doing a few meals on your own or purchasing the creative recipes cookbook?? It helps change up your foods so you don't get bored!!

Unfortunately my counseler hasn't even mentioned any of that! They just keep pushing the food.

The cookbook is awesome... it gives you lots of ideas on how to shake things up a bit...

Good Luck,
