anyone here do WW without meetings or online?

I gained 1.5 :( So frustrating, after maintaining for 2 weeks I though for sure I would have a loss on week 3. It is that TOM- I will try not to be too discouraged.

I am hovering right at 150. It is no surprise that I am in a rut, WW knows that at 150 you have to step up your game (they reduce daily points at 149 and below) so I should realize that too.

BethR- I love the anchoring concept. I am going to try that. I have a good memory that I am going to use.

Eyes on the prize!

Congratulations on the losses and the maintains...that is still something and you should be proud!

I am down .6 this week. Have a good week everyone!

COngrats to all the losers!!!
I had a bad day yesterday. I was carrying my son in to Old Navy and dislocated my knee and fell on the ice. I was able to hold my son the whole time until the end when the impact sent his head back and slammed off the ice:sad1: He was mosly scared and is fine now. I have 2 bruised knees and am very sore. I stopped for McDonalds on the way home too:sad2:

We are just going to hang out today and hopefully feel better by tomorrow.

It can only get better!

Natenapril- oh my goodness- that is awful. I am so glad your little one is okay- but what about your knee. Are you okay? I have a knee that was discloctaed when I was 16 and I needed surgery afterward- and it was a long recovery. It has never been the same. Don't beat yourself up over the McD's- you will have a better day tomorrow.

BethR- thanks for the anchoring suggestion. The memory that I think of is a time when I won a very important personal battle through pure and sheer tenacity- it is very motivating- especially when I feel weak- I know I can do what I put my mind to.

Have a good Sunday everyone!

So sorry to hear that! Glad you're both ok. Take care of yourself and your little guy!

Hi all. Haven't been around much, the other nurse in the clinic where I work is on vacation for two weeks, which means I am REALLY busy right now. Can't wait for him to get back!!!!

natenapril - yikes!! Glad you are both doing okay, sounds like you had a real scare. and flex points are perfect for that trip to McD, right??

mom0299 - how did the sleep over go? My dd had her party this year at Godfathers Pizza... there were 16 kindergarteners there for pizza and cake. It only lasted three hours, but felt like FOREVER, lol

BethR - thanks for letting us know how the meetings go - I like the ladder analogy.

Congratulations to all the losers and maintainers!! My week two result was 1.5 lb loss, for a total so far of 5.2 lbs. I was really proud of myself yesterday... I had a very emotionally difficult day, and normally I am an emotional eater, but I stayed OP yesterday!!!! And walked for an hour, which really helped my state of mind. Now we are off to the PineWood Derby for ds, then I hope to get another really long walk in after that. Have a good day everyone!!!!!!

Thanks for all the support ladies. Right now I have some bruises but will survive!! I have dislocated my knees several times but this was the first time it happened holding one of my babies. My DH is seperating from AD and joining the Guard and his new job has excellent health coverage so I am hoping to be able to find a good doctor who can help me.

I love the ladder concept. That is something I am really going to need to remember.

TOmorrow is weigh in for me so ONWARD AND DOWNWARD LADIES!!!!!!!!

I am so glad that many of you are finding some inspiration from the weekly meeting topics. I will be sure to post them here each week.

Right now, I would still say that I am somewhere on the bottom half of the ladder. Although I have had going on three good weeks and it makes me feel good, then I think about how MUCH I have to lose and don't have much faith that I ever will do it. I know that I need to just break this thing down into small achievable goals, but sometimes it is hard. When I think that I am now 35 pounds higher than when I first walked into WW nearly 20 years ago (when I did lose 56 pounds and was only several pounds away from Goal) it is so depressing.

Don't get me wrong. I am not depressed all of the time. But it is something that I think about a lot when thinking about my weight loss.

Yesterday we went to a night at the races and I knew that I would not do well. I had 2 cups of light beer and lots of food. I tried to remember and count everything and I used LOTS of my flex points - but not ALL of them. And now I only have 3 more days until weigh in, so I am hoping that in the end I will still have done fine.

Scale did not move either way for me this week. Didn't do so well last week. But its a new week and I've exercised already today and started my food journal.

Good luck to the rest of you.

natenapril: hope you and your son are doing ok!

Onward and downward.
Joanne

I lost 2 lbs. this week!:cool1: This is my first significant loss in about 3 weeks. Today DH and I determined to get back on track. We've really fallen off the wagon lately with our excercise and we need to get back on if we are going to run that 5K on April 21st. I will do something today. It is supposed to get up in the 70s today so I'm going to try to get outside and run/walk today if at all possible.
I made it past my first goal of losing 10lbs and looking decent in my BIL's wedding last weekend now for the real goal of losing the whole 25lbs. and looking great on the cruise in June. I just have to keep telling myself "nothing tastes as good as thin feels."

Anne

i lost another lb this week. i'm pretty happy. especially since i've not had any chance to exercise and this past weekend i went to an expensive dinner and had a creme brulee one day and a cheesecake the next day at another dinner.

time to get back on track!

I came to the brutal truth today that since my baby is 8 years old today I can't blame any of this on baby weight anymore.:rotfl:
I did go run/walking today and if felt great. I also got out a pair of jeans I haven't worn in over a year and I got them on! They aren't even tight! This group has been such a great thing for me. I couldn't have done it without you. Days like this make me know that it's all worthwhile and I need to keep plugging along.

Thanks everyone.

Mom0299, Congrats on fitting into the jeans! It's such a great feeling!!

Congrats iggbees on the loss!!!

BethR Hang in there. I am a emotional eater too. I eat under stress and
And with 3 kids that is all the time:) Lately sugar free jello is satisfying for me.

ScrapHappyMama, COngrats on the loss!

JJSMOM I am with you. I maintained this week but it was no surprise. I am going to get back on track. SO far so good today.

Onward and DOwnward ladies!!:thumbsup2

I'm pages behind on the reading, will catch up later.

Was feeling pretty discouraged as I turned 40 yesterday and was not at my goal weight. Was also discouraged because my mother who is visiting us, told me that my stomach looked like I was about 6 months preggo. Being in the mood I was in, I pigged out on pizza and birthday cake, lol. Stepped on the scale to weigh in today, and was pleasantly surprised, a 3 pound lost!!! I've now lost 12 pounds total. Almost half way to my 30 pound goal!!!

Congratulations 'tink! Gotta love those mom don't we. I got my hair cut and highlighted last week and have seen my mom several times since then and she hasn't said one word about it.:rolleyes1

OOOOHH, and guess what everyone!? We just booked a Grand Gathering at WDW for New Years. I'm so excited! It will be me, DH, DS, DD, my parents, DB, DSiL, and their 4 children.

I don't understand why anyone would say that to someone :confused3 Especially your own mother! I'm sorry, but to me, that's just mean. :sad2:

Good job on your 12 pound loss! Keep up the good work - this is for YOU and no one else!!! :thumbsup2

AWESOME! We are going to be there for New Years too- just my family and my parents. We just joined the DVC so we are so excited to be able to treat my mom and dad- after all they have done for us.
We did a big Grand Gathering last year- it was my parents, brother and sister, their families, and my cousin and his family- there were 24 of us! It was so fun.
check out our grand gathering slideshow!

Happy belated birthday to you, lovethattink! :bday: Sorry that it was a bummer, but I can so relate to that emotional eating. Congrats on the weight loss! That's always a much needed boost after a bad day! :cheer2:

New Years at Disney is so much fun. DH and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary there in 2004-05. It was fantastic! I'd love to be able to have a grand gathering, but the rest of our family thinks we're a little nuts. My mom's actually going to Orlando for a conference next week and has zero interest in seeing any of the parks. I even offered to tag along with her only grandkids (major bribe!) and show her the sights. She said she did EPCOT on her last trip and doesn't want to do all the walking. I'm going to get here there one day even if I have to hog tie her and smuggle her in ! :sad2: Anyway, hope you have a wonderful trip! :wizard:

I was down another pound on Monday morning, so I'm up to a 12 pound loss. I'm thrilled that I'm losing something, but it seems to be taking forever this time around. :confused3 In the past I've been able to drop 2-3 pounds per week with little effort other than counting points and exercising a few times a week. I've been diligent with my points and am exercising 5 times a week, but the scale seems to be in slow motion right now. It's a bit frustrating. Anyway, I'm mixing things up with my workouts and making a few adjustments to my diet this week in the hopes of seeing a 2 pound loss next week. DH and I have decided that my slow progress is because I'm getting old. :lmao:

Congrats to all of you for sticking with this! We can do it! :cheer2:

Ugh. Can I just say, that I ate too much for dinner??? Not BAD food, just too much of it. Now I feel icky. :sad2:

The reality of it is, my family is going in so many different directions tonight that I ate dinner by myself - no one was there to see me go back for seconds. :rolleyes1 I never would have done that if someone was watching me.

I think I need a tums....
