anyone here do WW without meetings or online?

i've done atkins for 2 weeks and hated it, but it kickstarted my diet and i continued with weight watchers because i knew it would be the easiest to lose on since it offered such a variety of foods!

good luck and tell us how you are doing on it!

i am doing much better this week and tracking everything i'm eating. i think after next week i'm going to join a gym. i really don't get any exercise and i'm tired of not feeling like i'm losing any weight. i've only lost 4.5 lbs in the last 3 weeks. most of that was lost the first week! i really need to kick start my body into fat burning mode!
 
Welcome mudnuri! IMO WW is the best diet out there...the most realistic. Its taught me to make better choices and every once in awhile if I want a treat...its ok...just need to account (journal) for that treat and modify my diet. To me, WW is about using all the food groups, making everyday food choices, correct portions and moderation.

Having said that :rotfl:, I haven't used my jounal this week. I keep track in my mind but I really need to put it on paper so I don't forget anything. For some reason I've been real depressed this week so I haven't made the best choices. Theres a lot going on lately. I think it will help with the warmer weather coming.

Well hope everyones doing ok this week! We decided to keep our WDW vacation in May instead of changing it to October. Looking forward to it...I can't believe its coming so quickly.

Wish me luck! It's been so long since I've eaten sweets of any kind at all, and I'm actually afraid that the sugar is going to make my ill. :sick:

Look on the bright side- a pound is a pound!
I have been having bad behavior lately. 2nd weekend in a row that went haywire. I didn't count everthing- so I am just going to say my flex points are gone until Thurs.- so I have to be OP- no cheats for 3 days and hope- hope- hope for a loss. But if I don't lose- it is my own fault. I Like Mondays- I feel ready for a fresh start- I am eating well and I have my meals planned for the next 2 days - which helps. Plus I took a nice brisk 3 mile walk this morning.

i went out this week and bought myself a real ww scale! i love it. haha.

although, last week i weighed in on my other scale and i was 156, today i weighed in and i was 155.8. boo. i had a really bad weekend though.

today i'm taking my butt to the gym for a membership. if my boyfriend can spend 3 hours at hockey 3 times a week, then i can work out at the gym! plus it'll get me out of the house so i'm not so lonely.

i'm excited!

As for the Chocolate Buffet....it was incredible. Not for the faint of heart, that's for sure.:eek: I was in a chocolate stupor :lmao: I honestly had a sugar crash and felt hungover for most of the afternoon! :sick: My diet has been so "clean" for the last 10 weeks that my body just didn't know what hit it. :rotfl: Boy, oh boy was it good.

But today....it's back to reality. ;) A happy, healthy week to all!!! :cheer2:

Up a pound this week...seem to losing and gaining the same pound :rotfl:. Not doing so well this week but hopefully will pick it up and try again. I guess I'm in a rut!

well i did it. i signed up for the gym for 3 months. it felt really good to exercise last night, but man was it tough! haha. i feel so out of shape. i'm hoping that this exercise will help kickstart my weight loss. i've been at a lull for the last 2 weeks! i gained because of "female issues" then i lost, but overall i've only lost 2.5 lbs. slow and steady i guess.

I feel the same way. Mondays are always my "this week will be better" day!!
 
I weighed in today. Over the last 2 weeks, I have gained 3 pounds. I started doing toning, so I'm trying to cheer myself up saying some of the gain is muscle?? I lost 13 pounds, but now I'm back to 10. I did drop 2 sizes in clothing, so that is a definate victory!!

I'd be willing to bet that you are putting on muscle weight. How your clothing fits is a really good indicator of what's going on with your body. Just out of curiousity, have you been taking your measurements at all?

I went thru the same exact thing several weeks ago. Saw no change what so ever in the scale number over the course of 3 weeks even though my workouts and food intake were nearly flawless. I had my body composition re-done (had it done before I started this as well....) and discovered that I had indeed lost fat and gained muscle.

Keep up the good work - and enjoy those smaller jeans! :goodvibes
 
I tried WW online and was unsuccessful :guilty: The meetings that I can attend in my area are about 35 miles away and in the winter road conditions can be dangerous in the North Pole.
So I want to start WW in my own! Has anybody here tried it? Anybody want to be buddies?
I weigh 236.5 and want to lose at least 40lbs. Hopefully by this time next year!!

Another fellow Alaskan!!! Yay!! :) I'm in Southeast and haven't attended any WW meetings, but I recently had a baby and have about 50-60 pounds to lose. I would love to join this group so that we can try to support one another.

So I've spent the last hour (I'm supposed to be working :rolleyes:) checking out all of the topics throughout this thread. There is soooo much great information, I'm a bit overwhelemed at the moment, but also very excited. Thanks to everyone who posts all of the information about points, links to WW info, etc.

I also love reading everyone's personal accomplishments. That is definitely very motivating. Great job!!! :)

Well, I'm not sure if everyone is posting their weight on here (*GASP*) but I will weigh in on Sunday and let everyone know where I am starting. I know I have a lot of weight to lose since I was a pig during my pregnancy, but I'll get an exact weight this weekend.

TenThousandVolts--Thank you for the welcome! I'm excited to be here. You should definitely visit Alaska when you can. It is beautiful! I'm actually in Oregon right now staying with family for a few months because this winter just drove me crazy living up there in the cold. It's definitely hard to deal with sometimes, but summers are absolutely gorgeous and worth the hard winters :)

Subbing to this thread - don't have the time right now to read the entire thing, but know enough that I want to join!

Did WW about 15 years ago when I was in high school - I did pretty well until my mom decided I wasn't loosing weight fast enough, and she wouldn't pay for it anymore. Needless to say, almost ten years of marriage and three babies, one pregnancy being a twin (!), I'm not really pleased with the "tatoos" I get on my belly from my jeans!

So I talked to my aunt last night who has been a lifetime WW member & I got a lot of great information. It really motivated me & I feel like I am ready to go. I'm still debating whether or not I should try to go to meetings for the first 3-6 months, but I can't really justify spending the money when I know what I should do. Plus I feel like I have a great support system with everyone here.

Does anyone know how many points is in 1C. 1% milk?
