anyone here do WW without meetings or online?

mom0299 - how did the sleep over go? My dd had her party this year at Godfathers Pizza... there were 16 kindergarteners there for pizza and cake. It only lasted three hours, but felt like FOREVER, lol

Sorry, ScrapHappyMama, I just saw this note: The slumber party went great. We survived. The girls were actually asleep by 10:00, but they were awake by 6am. I got some great pics so I'm open to some scrapbook ideas for sleepover pages if you have any.

I lost 3 pounds! I am so close to being halfway up that ladder! I feel refocussed.

 (that's me, doing my happy dance :rotfl: )

I had my Biggest Loser Challenge weigh in at the gym today. Since we started this program 8 weeks ago, I've lost 9 pounds of fat (gained some muscle too...so my net "scale" loss is 7 lbs.) and took 4% off my body fat.

I'm going to celebrate by making a bit pot of tomato soup for dinner :woohoo: (sounds odd perhaps, by my whole family LOVES my home made tomato soup. and it's sooooo low in fat & calories :woohoo: ) a nice bowl of soup with a few crackers on top...yum-o!! btw...do Pepperidge Farms goldfish count as a lean protein???

Congrats AKASnowWHite!! That is a huge accompishment! It had to feel great!! Enjoy your soup!!

Thanks natenapril! I was quite pleasantly surprised. I *knew* that things were changing, but didn't really know just how much! :goodvibes If you remember, I posted about my "dorito meltdown" and how the trainer told me I was under-eating :confused3 ...well, it's been in the 2+ weeks since that happened that I've seen the most dramatic results.

Amazing what the tinest "tweak" to your diet can do! :confused3

I hope you all enjoy your St. Patrick's Day...my "green" isn't going to be in the form of green beer this year :sad2: maybe broccoli or asparagus instead..:thumbsup2

Go AKASnowWhite!
I am going to have trouble this weekend- we are away from home visiting family (wE ARE IN cAPE mAY, nj) I am not so in control of my menus... as I am at home- I am really worried. Yesterday I only went over my points by 2 which I am happy about- it is hard to stay at 20-22 when travelling. -wish me luck this weekend.

i've been so horrible this entire week. i haven't written a single thing down. i feel so terrible about it. my mom got plane tickets for disney in july so now that i've got some motivation to lose weight though, i know i'll be back on track!

i think it has to do with the obnoxious webserver that ww uses. i type something in and it never adds it or it will crash on me. anyone else have this problem? i'll go back later to add something else and my entire day has been reset! i think i need to not only type it out on the computer, but also write it down.

Hang in there Ten THousand and iggbees!! We all have our moments.

Well, I FINALLY bought my treadmil today. I ended up buying a used one to save some money since we are buying a house this summer (hopefully). I plan on starting walking 30 min a day and going from there. Hopefully this will pick up my weight loss.

Onward and downward ladies.

It IS hard when you don't have control over the food that is served! Do the best you can - that's all you can ask of yourself. Choose moderation and you should be able to enjoy yourself without going too far overboard - then Monday a.m. it's back on plan! :thumbsup2

I'm going to have one of "those" weekends next week. DH and I are going to Boston - having lunch at the Chocolate Bar  where everything is chocolate!!! Then a fancy black-tie ball w/buffet Sat. night. Sunday my parents are taking us out to dinner...  So..this week I have to keep a "tight" diet :goodvibes (I may have to use this weeks flex points on Sat, next weeks on Sun!! :rotfl: )

Sounds like fun...have a great time!

natenapril: Congrats on the treadmill. I absolutely love mine especially on those not so great walking outside days. I still may use mine this summer when its hot...I like the controlled environment. Although I like the fresh air and the scenery but I can not take the heat while exercising. Have fun!!!!

Thanks for all the support everybody! I have no clue how many pts I ate this weekend- but I never stuffed myself, just ate until I was full then stopped. I am hoping that with 3 solid OP days until weighin- I will maintain this week.

(I may have to use this weeks flex points on Sat, next weeks on Sun!!)
:rotfl: good strategy!

Natenapril- Maybe when you move away from Alaska you will actually be able to excersise outdoors, instead of on the treadmill. I think it is smart to buy the treadmill used- so many people out there have a treadmill they don't use at all.

Lost 1 lb last week - it took me a couple of weeks but I"ll take it. I really stepped up my cardio which I'm sure helped. This week has started off kind of slow but I'm going to try to keep it going. W/Tom coming I didn't eat too well today....CHOCOLATE!!!!!!

Well best to you all! Good luck and Onward and Downward!

Joanne

JJ&JSMOM- great job! I just looked at your weight loss ticker- it is very inspirational- you have come so far. I am sure these last few pounds are going to be the most stubborn- but I know you will chip away at them and reach goal!

Thank you! Yeah the last few are being tough but I've come to the conclusion that my body may just like my current weight and I'll keep on doing what I'm doing and if it comes off then great! If not then my body is telling me its ok! I'm trying not to depend on the number on the scale but how I look and feel. I must say I would like to get out of my 12 jeans (another number!!!!) though!

You've come a ways as well- half way there! Keep up the good work!

Onward and downward.

Room for another newbie?

I've never done WW - but from reading this thread, and the other link way back like 32 pages ago, I've found that this may be one of the 'easiest' ways of eating for me. I don't mean 'easiest' lightly- what I mean is that it offers the most variety of foods..

Because this is a weight loss plan, I guess my goal would be to lose 20 lbs, but I know that I will be happy when my body returns to the shape it use to be. I have some pants in my closet - when they fit, I will know I've reached my goal.

I need to get on the exercise wagon though- because my eating is easier for me than the exercise...might have to go downstairs and steal the gazelle from my neighbor- she wont miss it, it's only holding clothing for her LOL..

anyway- if there is room for me, I'm in!

You all have such amazing stories, I'm enjoying reading this thread.

Welcome mudnuri! And as for WW being "easy"....I'm with you - EASY to follow! :goodvibes I love the plan - no forbidden food groups, no "phases" etc. I feel that it teaches you how to eat reasonably for a life-time of healthy living. (no, I'm not biased....:rolleyes1 )
