Anyone get AKL standard view with the best rate program?

We are going in November and I am still debating about getting an AP. I would really like to get the AP so that I have motivation to go again!

I booked AKL standard from 11/1-11/6 with the best rate for $177 a night.

I was looking around on the system yesterday for 11/9-12 (3 nights) and it came up with STD room for about 144 incl tax per night. That's 129 before tax. I didn't take it as my plans aren't firm at all. There were all levels of rooms available but I didn't check to see if discounted rates or not.

Got rooms from 11/21-the 27th for $1600 without AP's it was $2300.

I went on line about a week and a half ago to book a standard room at AKL with an AP discount, but only found pool view rooms for December 9-13. I booked the pool view room. Just out of curiosity I was checking availablility at AKL standard view rooms again this past week end and oddly enough the standard rooms WERE available for my dates. I found this to be very strange and considered calling WDTC, but decided it wasn't worth the hassle. I'm guessing it wasn't intentional on the part of WDW, but a computer glitch that caused the problem. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I just checked for 12/10-12/17 and found AKL standard view for $1150.72= 129.00/night (143.84 with tax).

Check several times a day if you have the ability to. I had to check about 5 times a day for over a week to get my AKL deluxe savannah bunk room. And after I booked it, I tried to get another one to see how many they released, and there were none available. So, just luckily, I was online at the right time to get the room I wanted!!! Don't give up!
