Anyone else use Dining Plan for Candlelight Processional Package?

I was told when I booked my package that I could use the dining plan credits. I specifically asked this as I had reservations for dinner already but wanted to change it to the Candlelight Package. I was told yes I could use 4 TS for our package. We just returned from Disney and when we went to dinner and did the show I got back to the room and realized that they did not take off 4 TS...they charged the whole dinner to my credit card. I had to go down to concierge and tell them what happened and the CM told me that no you couldn't use the dining plan. I had a 160.00 charge on my Visa and I was not planning on paying for that as I had just paid for the dining plan that was suppose to cover that. First the CM told me I would have to pay for it and I could use the 4TS for a breakfast or something. I told him that wasn't any good and I asked to speak to the manager. He went out back and came back about 10 minutes later and said they took the charge off my credit card and took off 4TS credits. I thanked him and asked him if anyone else has had this problem. He said no....but there must be someone else out there that was told they could use the dining plan and then ended up being charged for their package. So just beware and check again if they told you you could use the dining plan for the Candlelight Package.

yikes! i have the cp package with dinner at coral reef. i was told you could use ddp.....i will not have a credit card on file (i booked through AAA), so i guess they will have no choice but to use my ts credits like i was told it would be.

We used DDP TS crdits for our Candlelight Processional package with no problem.......and thet was at Alfredo's where there ALWAYS seems to be a problem.

We just got back yesterday and we used the Dining Plan for the CLP package at Le Cellier, we had no problems.

Wow that is really funny how they gave us such a hard time. We ate at Le Cellier also and I think I forgot to tell them I was on the dining plan which was half the problem. But I wonder why they gave me such a hard time about changing it at the Boardwalk Concierge. He was really adamant about it not being part of the dining plan. Well at least no one else is having a problem.

I hope we don't have trouble as well. We are doing the Coral Reef.... but I have a question for those who have used the dining plan for the CP. The regular package, I believe you have to pay tax and tip.... since this is covered through the DDP, is it that way also for the CP package with DDP?

We used the dining plan at Coral Reef for this on 11/28 and had no problems at all.

OK now i"m worried. I asked before I booked it for my parents if the CP package was included on the DDP and I was told yes, I booked it for my parents and was under teh impression that they could indeed use 1 DDP TS each for the package at Alfredo's. HTey leave on Tuesday and I need to be sure before I send them with incorrect information. Anything that can or does go wrong will be my fault and I need to be certain that I didn't mess it up!

I'm glad to see this. I was starting to get worried. :thumbsup2 We are using DDP for CP package at Coral Reef on the 22nd. I just found out that the narrator has been changed from Cuba Gooding, Jr. to someone I don't know for that night, oh well. :guilty:

I have booked CP for Le Cellier on DDP for 22nd Dec.......and was told the same 1 TS credit, and tax/tips are included. The only thing you couldn't do was have say only 3 meals between 5 (which is what we will do most other meals) otherwise you don't get the tickets for 5!!

I did have to leave a cc as security, with 48hr cancellation or else a $10 (I think) charge per no show. As we are eating at Le Cellier on the 19th as well, we will know if we want to return or not by then.

I have no idea who any of the narrators are!!

We did 3 meals and got 4 tickets at Coral Reef. My DD was sleeping and our waitress had no problem bringing us 4 tickets. She didn't even ask she just brought out the 4 tickets. Tax/tip were included and everything was great. I used it last year Le Ceiller and my DD was 2 and they her ticket then even though she didn't get a meal. Same thing everything was great and it was so easy.

Don't worry it is covered 1TS. They should not have any problems.

We ate at Le Cellier on Friday night in a CPP. We told them from the get go that 1/2 of our party was on the ddp and the other was out of pocket. We had a great meal, although it took forever! When the bills came, they were divided correctly and everyone was charged appropriately.

We used it last Dec also. Just picked up our tickets before dinner at a booth near the America Pavillion.

We did the CP on Wed night 12-6 using TS credits for dinner at the Biergarten with no problem whatsoever. Our server Tino brought us the badges with our dinner receipt.

We've never been to WDW over the holidays, so I'm pretty unfamiliar with this. How many TS credits is it per person to book this package? Does your choice of restaurant factor into this? Thanks!

We used the DDP at Alfredo's on Thursday with absolutely no problem. When you line up, the cast members were very strict about every member of your party needing to have a ticket stuck to them (peel and stick). No just showing it to the CM - obviously to avoid people sharing tickets. Good show as always.

As all of the Epcot TS restuarants are 1 DDP point, it only costs one, so it's a good value.

We and our friends were told NO to using the dining plan for this event - we had to pay extra on our CC - this is ridiculously unfair. How do things like this happen? When we called Disney Dining - it was just a flat NO
