This happens to me each and every time! lol! We have been planning this trip since December 2004. We have everything done...ADRs, itnerary, lots of info for my mom, packing list, etc. I have NOTHING left to do and it's driving me crazy! I want to do something for the trip, but I've already done it all. lol!

You could come help me pack, clean my house, write my itinerary on note cards, go to the post office to drop off the note to hold my mail, rake some leaves.....my list is longer than Santas. :rolleyes1

Oh...I only want fun stuff! And please don't remind me about the leaves.

I remember the first time that happened to me. I started planning the NEXT trip :rotfl: This year we're going three times. It's getting a little carried away! :rotfl2:

I agree, but like someone else said, now I am planning my next trip even before this one has started!

Me, too. Isn't there some sort of support group for us? :confused3 :flower:

Well, as far as plannng goes, I'm done. We leave in 12 days. To get my fix, I visit these boards first thing every morning. I'm lucky, I work from home so my ritual is to get up, feed the animals, make coffee and then I go to the DIS for about an hour before digging in to work.

But, as another poster said so eloquently, there are leaves to rake, house to clean, etc etc etc. It never ends. But you're right, that's not fun stuff. And, I have to go to Atlanta for a weekend before our trip. My husband is there performing with the Atlanta Opera so I'm going next weekend to see the show and bring him home.

That is the point I am at right now also. All the planning done, so now I am just waiting. There is of course all the housework to do to leave the place in order. I still have some packing to do, but have to wait a few more days so as not to take all the kids clothes from their closets. They will still need them for another week or so. I just cant wait to get there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, I am in that situation. However, I am not going until November 2006! I have our hotel booked and all the ADR's planned (Can't book until May 27!) and my spreadsheet/budget done. I just visit the boards daily to make sure I haven't missed anything. It's killing me to plan so early and have to wait for so long!

I put ours together pretty quickly. It's nothing fancy. I used Word and listed about 5 things (lengthwise) on each page. Then I copied and pasted a clip art picture next to each item. The items are things like: Ride a Disney Bus, Get Wet on Splash Mountain, Defeat Zurg on Buzz Lightyear Ride. Then I cut the page into strips for each item and made a paper chain.

Every night one of my DDs peels open a loop. It's been great fun and a fantastic countdown. Looks like you could work on this for a few days and then do a month countdown.

Even for DH and I, seeing that chain with only 6 more loops on it really hits home. And, it's a fun distraction from raking the leaves, unloading the dishwasher, doing laundry, picking up kids etc!!

LOL I think we're all looking at it! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

All I've got left for our Dec trip is a packing list, paying off the balance on our vacation home, and maybe getting a few more glow neckaces at the dollar store. :flower:

SSdonut what a great idea! My trip is nearly 6 months away so I'll have gobs of links

Me, I will be there in 16 days and I have everything planned and ready to go.

I still come here to get updates and stuff but all the planning is done.

I already know when I am going next year and where I am going to stay. I haven't done anything else so that way I will have something to do when we get back.

I am right there with you!!! We leave on November 23. Earlier this week I had an itchy phone dialing finger and called and CHANGED my resort reservations!! I went from a budget kind of trip Dolphin/CR split, to BWI/CR split, to BWI concierge deluxe/GF RPC split!!! Then I thought about adding on a couple of extra days before or after with just my daughters (send the guys home!) I added the days, but then didn't want to deal with changing the flight, limo, etc. so......I cancelled those days..... I moved around ADRs, added a few more.......This trip cannot come soon enough! :earboy2:

I am feeling so restless. Now I keep shopping!!! I am buying cute things for my girls to wear, new swimsuits, socks, DVDs for the plane, books, etc. This quickie trip is really going to cost me megabucks if it doesn't happen SOON! ;)

Yes and No. The planning is all done, but I have so much "getting it all together" left to do that I'm having panic attacks. Disney trip in 22 days (putting kids' journals together, wrapping Tinkerbelle gifts, packing, buying last minute splurges :goodvibes ), big family Thanksgiving at our house the week before, decorating the house for Christmas before we leave....and on top of all that MIL just diagnosed with lung cancer so lots of doctors visits and family meetings happening right now (and lots of emotion). OMG, here comes one of those attacks...... :scared1: :faint:

Well, I guess that I am there with you. My primary goal for the weekend is to just feel better and get the itinerary published. I have some sort of a nasty tummy bug with a fever for the last couple of days. I was totally out of commission yesterday and had Disney nightmares in my sleep. I have just a few minor things to tweak in my itinerary, mostly in the way of confirming the ADR numbers and such. Since our printer died, great timing, I will take the disks to Kinko's and print out the pages, have them laminated and then bound into a booklet. This usually works out well for us.

My next big goal, figuring out how to cook Thanksgiving lunch for my inlaws. I wish it could be dinner but, their schedules won't allow it. So, since we invited them down last year, it's my turn to cook. I can see next weekend as a very busy weekend in the kitchen boiling eggs, making chicken & dumplings to freeze, setting up a brine soak for the turkey breast, and so on. OMG, I am tired just thinking about it all. lol

After that of course, it will be all about packing for WDW! Because we leave for FL two weeks after Thanksgiving. Whoooo Hooooo!!!

I know what you can do. If you are anal like I am get to cleaning the house because I have nearly killed myself today trying to get all of the laundry caught up and the house cleaned and the dog bathed (she is staying with my parents) and her nails trimmed because I spent so much time planning that I forgot about how everything has to be "just" right before I can leave the house. Oh well, we are off to the Disney store as soon as my prince wakes up from his nap to exchange his "allowance" for Disney dollars. :cheer2:

Me too! Me too! Actually I still have a few things to do as far as getting stuff together to pack, but otherwise I am done.

Can't wait!!!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I always do everything way to far ahead. It was the same with WD so we played the magic kingdom game and we played the MK game again and then just for kicks we played the MK game with a little Disney trivia game thrown in. I also over planned each detail each day on the dis board. Have fun! I have to wait a whole year and a half til we go again. :confused3

Well, I have all my WDW prep done but lots of "not so fun" things to do around the house the next week. I started packing today. :flower:
