Anyone else just DREADING winter?

It snowed here last night. Snowed. In November. What is that about? I hate this weather. Please bring back the warmth.

We have a few inches of snow on the ground that will be continually added to until April if we're lucky ~ May, if we aren't.

Yes, I'm dreading winter. It is already COLD COLD COLD here. Temps in the single digits tomorrow with wind chills around -10.

Thanks for the info. I guess I better hit the outlets and see if I find anything :)

Try 6pm.com , never know what you will find on there and with the prices changing pretty frequently you can normally get a pretty good deal. I have bought all of my ugg slippers on there and my son's North face jackets. They have tons of brands on there. Also might look at under armour .

We are supposed to get hit overnight here in Buffalo.:guilty:

North of us 50km winds 25cm of more snow is expected on top of what they've already had. We in Niagara, Ontario may see some of this storm too. It's been snowing lightly all day we've got about 16cm or 6in. Our retriever is loving it!

I am not a fan. I honestly can't believe that I have lived where I live my whole life knowing how much I hate cold weather.

I have been getting text alerts from the weather channel for two days warning me about the storm that's coming between tonight and Wednesday morning. Then I got another one after dinner telling about the storm that's coming Wednesday evening.

It isn't even officially winter yet and I am done already.

The wind is really blowing and the temp is dropping fast. Cold cold cold! I was raised in the Deep South. I am not genetically equipped for cold weather. :joker:

Definitely dreading winter. I work outside as a school crossing guard. With wind chills, this morning it felt like 15 degrees outside. Not ready for this - it's just too early.

I am feeling like: it is November 18th and I am already DONE with winter. It was -11 this morning.

Brr...-11. :faint:

We are looking at a high of 25 degrees today. Already have the water dripping in the sinks. The HVAC system had its check up yesterday and because of the icy roads, school was canceled for the county. We have 2 weeks of "snow days" built in to this year's school calendar. Supposed to get out on May 15..add the 2 weeks and the kids will finish up June.

DS3 looked out at the frozen mess and got excited "build snowman?"

DS20 is coming back up from Tampa for the month of December. He is NOT excited to be in the cold. He was feeling cold when they hit rainy 60's.

I am concerned about what this winter has in store for us. I am dreading the utility bills. I do not like feeling cold, but as soon as January comes along, I know I am this much closer to thawing. I guess I will just keep looking at the cold through the little guy's eyes and feel his excitement.

LOL - add 2 weeks to our last date (June 18) and we would get out July 2nd. And there is talk that they would like our schools to start after Labor Day - I certainly hope NOT.

Well we got hit here in South Buffalo and the other parts got nothing except maybe a dusting. We woke up to about 2 feet of snow. There is a travel ban in effect for our parts of Buffalo.

I am part of a county disaster preparedness team who gets together on these types of occasions. I had the sheriff's department come get me this morning with a big SUV to take me to the meeting. Lots of snow and more is expected by Thursday.

ugh.. Stay safe...

We are fortunate so far.. We got a bit of everything.. Snow which turned to rain/ice and sleet.. But not much.. We had winds of about 8o MPH overnight, and it is COOOLLLD now...

Dreading the oil bills, winter sniffles and coughs, digging out the car, wearing heavy clothes.......yes, I am dreading winter!!!! :headache:

So there with you. Grey, cloudy, dirty snow. Ice cold. The ice won't melt b/c its too cold. I am just done. Only 125 days till palm trees. But man, I just need to suck up my fear of snakes and spiders and move south. I would be so much happier.

That's my plan as well: move south when I retire. Will stay in Florida from October through April then head back up here for the summer.

Florida's summers are too hot for me.

Don't let a fear of snakes or spiders keep you from moving somewhere you wish to move too. I rarely see snakes or spiders in the Orlando area and spend most of my day outdoors. I don't really know how the silly snake and bugs thing got started when when it comes to Florida but it's really ridiculous.
