Anyone booking at BWV or BCV in August 09 at the 7 month window?

It appears that my waitlist for BCV has come thru already! I checked DVC member site today to be sure the point totals looked right etc. and rather than it saying our ressie was at BWV it said BCV!!

We got 8/13-8/16 at AKV studio savannah view & 8/17-8/8/21 BCV standard studio at the 7 month mark Can't wait!!!

Also to all of you who have gone in Aug.(peferble the first couple of weeks) how were the crowds? I have only been to WDW one time the last week of Aug. it wasn't to bad crowd wise , but it was preatty warm. Thanks fro all your help.

We go every year in Aug. We alternate from the first half of August to the last half. The first part is usually more crowded. I have to say, the last two years have just been more crowded period. I talked to many Europeans who came here due to the weak US dollar. It was a bargain for them!

That might have been my studio as we cancelled and booked Kidani!!! So pleased you managed to get it.

We had no problem getting a Boardwalk view at BWV for 27th-31st July. We also got a studio at BCV for 2nd-7th Aug. I need to call again on Friday to try and get a studio at BCV for 23rd-27th Aug after our Disney cruise.

I am also calling on Friday am to add an OVIR at VB for the 23rd-26th...keeping my fingers crossed! I found great airfare Sun/Mon for $130 RT so I am PSYCHED that this trip seems to be falling together just right. Good luck getting your BCV for the 23rd.

We had no problem getting VB ocean view for 9th-12th Aug so fingers crossed you have the same luck.

We had no troubles getting BCV at the 7 month mark for July 2009. MS said that the summer was easier to get at 7 month window as not as many locals are at the resorts. We found this to be true as there was lots of availability for 2nd and 3rd weeks of July!

at long last the seven month window is here
was able to get a 1 bedroom at the BCV this morning
just need to phone day by day the get the rest added
so far we have from the 25th august to the 1st of sept

funny last time I done this they were able to tell me if there was availablity for the next few days but couldn't today so hopefully the will work

BCV is our home resort. I guess there was no rush when we booked right at the 11 month window for our August vacation.

We got a 2BR/2 Queenbeds in 2nd BR and also a Studio. (August 16 - 21)

We'll be there in August too. We rented points from a DVC member who booked us back in October. I was looking at the ressie to see if it noted preferred or standard view but there is nothing there. Would it be noted on there if a request was made? We're DW newbies, so it's all going to be new and exciting for us either way!

binab, I assume you are staying at BWV? Did you receive a confirmation from DVC? It should say which view you have. If you booked BCV, all views are the same amount of points.
