Anyone booking at BWV or BCV in August 09 at the 7 month window?

We changed over our 15 nights in August 2009 at SSR at the 7 month mark to:
-- 7 nights at AKV Kidani Studio Sav. view
-- 8 nights BWV Standard View Studio

Very cool!! We also arrive at BCV in 23 days for 8 nights! I can't wait!! have fun everyone!! the good thing is that I do love SSR also so if I ever can't trade out (like over NYE) then it is just fine because our home resort rocks!!

I booked 2 studios at BCV today for August 16-21st with no problem. We love summer at the BCVs!

I booked our 2 bedroom at BCV today for August 16-22. Got a dedicated w/1q bed, which is what we want for the extra room in the second bedroom.

We called first thing this morning and here is what happened.....

First we asked for BWV 2 BR Standard View (less points) - NOT available
They did say that a pool view was available. We stayed at BWV last year so thought, if we have to use more points, lets see if we can get a resort we haven't tried yet, so......

Second choice was BCV 2 BR - GOT it!!! It is actually a dedicated 2BR with a Queen and a sleeper sofa in the 2nd BR.

I am so excited!! I am looking forward to staying at BCV. We really loved BWV last year but think it will be fun trying a new one!!

You are going to LOVE BCV! Especially if you like spending time at the pools, BCV is the place to be! (we like BCV much better than BWV in the summer months)

We finally decided tonight we want to try for a studio at BCV for Aug 16-23 then add on 3 n in an OVIR at VB at the end of that. BWV will be our 2nd choice if we can't get BCV. Calling tomorrow. Have my fingers crossed. Will be our first try at any of them...

I rang this afternoon and got BCV for 3 nights 17th August in a one bed

Just hope the weather is better than last August when we stayed there.

I called MS at 9:00 this morning... Wanted Aug 16-23 at BCV in a studio but the 18th wasn't available. So I booked our 2nd choice, BWV and waitlisted BCV. The Std. views and Boardwalk views were all gone already so I took the leftover Gdn / Pool view. No other choice about it. This is the first time I've ever waitlisted so dunno how it will go. It really was a tossup between both resorts for us but I thought DS would like SAB so that's why we decided on BCV as first choice. We want to add 3 nights at Vero onto the end so I will have to call back on the 23rd for that part.

Caron - I just may consider doing the DVC insurance this time as I am also concerned about the weather with traveling that time of year...It can be added at any time, right? We used it last summer for our DCL we did on points. Lots of factors to consider that time of year.

Now, to go fix my ticker!

I called member services yesterday at 11:30am (the system was down all morning?!?!) for the 7 month window and was able to get 4 studios, a 1 bdrm, and a 2 bdrm. We're going the 16th to the 23rd
Grand Gathering time!
We're so excited to all be staying at the BCVs for the 1st time since we usually stay at OKW.

How did you make out with Vero?
I was able to get a studio and a 1bdrm for the 23 - 25th, but they said the Inn Rooms were all gone....
Vero is the BEST way to end a Disney Vacation. Enjoy your 1st time there!!!

AaaaHAAA! That's why when I called at 9:10 this morning for a studio for the 16-23 the 18th I needed for my studio week was gone! So maybe if your waitlist comes thru then so will mine after you give up the studio portion! Good luck!

So funny how this works out 'eh! After I saw your post I told DH I missed it by 10 min. and I knew who got it ('cuz I wasn't really paying attention to the clock). It's OK tho - you were ON THE BALL. We are still experimenting with all the diff. resorts and want to try 'em all so it was not a big deal to go with BWV instead. I just thought that SAB would be good for DS on a summer trip. That's why I went ahead and waitlisted BCV...

If I remember it correctly, you no longer have to call each day after your window opens up....right???? Also to all of you who have gone in Aug.(peferble the first couple of weeks) how were the crowds? I have only been to WDW one time the last week of Aug. it wasn't to bad crowd wise , but it was preatty warm. Thanks fro all your help.

Yes jns is right, you can book up to 7 days now. The beginning of August is still pretty crowded, but the crowds do thin out by mid August because the Florida students are back in school. It is hot, but we tend to hang around the pool & go to the parks later in the day & stay for night EMH so it's not that bad.

Yeah Annie! Glad you got your studio! I still didn't get my 2 beds but it's early yet.
