Something About Nothing............ #14

Our luggage did come fast, and for some reason, my license was an issue at the Alamo exit booth. They did resolve it when a manager stopped by. Not sure why, they said their machine are wonky sometimes. But after good few minutes, we were off to do a Target run. Then, got our room number when we headed to our room, which we were glad for, as did buy refrigerated items, and a few frozen ones. Chilled, and now at DStudios for Jolly Nights. And this park’s tree is pretty:

Having a great night, beautiful, warm weather. And no rain in our 7 day forecast. Yay! At home, by 6 am or so tomorrow morning, will see 2 to 4 inches of snow. Was pretty cool when we left this mid morning. And warmer 40’s when we come home. 77 when we get to the airport. Ah, so nice to enjoy warm this week. Park holiday fun, woot!

Animal kingdom this late morning, and went on safari, after a runaway yeti sighting coaster.

Some of the animals, including baby and momma elephants for Mac:

Then we went to Disney Springs for a late lunch, as not much in AK that we like to eat. Though we like Tusker House, too high price for a buffet we neither wanted to do for lunch. Earl’s at the Springs always has good sandwiches, and a refillable cup as much as you want. Bought that iced lattes on the way out, after shopping at the pin store, and pop up shop inside the co- op. Saw absolutely nothing at the World store we went though. So much generic stuff, and almost all the holiday stuff we did not want. We will most likely buy some holiday stuff at the party we have coming up. Also did another Target run on our way back to our room. Now just chilling, as late 2 bonus deluxe hours at Epcot tonight.

Was so fun last night, as we could hear the party music and saw the party fireworks from our balcony. Room has been perfect and is so large. Nice for two of us to spread out.

Magical Monday to all.

Yesterday was such a Monday. I started the day reading the horrific news about Rob Reiner. The Princess Bride is one of my favorite movies. Then at work I spent most of the day trying to fill cancellations. I would get one filled and then someone else would cancel. This went on all day. I also had to wait for the copier technician to come out and I'm still not sure if the problem has been resolved. I worked 2 hours longer than usual, but it made up for some of the time I missed when it snowed.

Great pictures Lynne. I always have trouble getting decent pictures on the safari.

I have to get up in a few minutes and start getting ready for work. Ugh.

From our balcony last night. Tomorrow we see it inside for the party. Beautiful warm weather we have had. 80 the high on Friday. Woot!

Oh and camel said he’s on vacation too, so hump of a feeling day it is anyway.

Wonderful Wednesday today all.

Castle and some MK fun:

Beautiful weather night. Only needed my sweatshirt for the walk back. Shorts still on.

HS and party day on Thirsty Thursday. We keep a cold water bottle in the backpack, as glad it’s felt warm all the time we’ve been here so far, so keeping hydrated is the way to go.

Now just chilling before bedtime. Pjs on, so ready to hit the hay soon.

Good night all.

A quick post before I go to sleep. It has been an interesting week. Monday brought more computer problems which I think have been fixed. I had a nice birthday on Tuesday. Wednesday and today brought scheduling issues. It seemed like every time I got an appointment filled someone else would cancel. I'm also trying to get clients scheduled for next year, but people won't return calls or texts. They aren't going to be happy when they figure out that they have no appointments scheduled in 2026 and their preferred days/times aren't available.

Tonight dh was coming home from the gym and was about half a mile from home when he saw a car hit or get hit by a deer. Then the deer ran back into the road and into dh's car. The passenger side is really messed up. He has already started a claim with our insurance company and will be calling a body shop tomorrow. What a way to start Christmas break. Thankfully he wasn't hurt. We are not certain about the deer. He said it ran off into the woods.

Hope everyone else is having a better week.

Fabulous pictures Lynne.

Ugh Charade, my DH hit a deer once, and did over 7,000 dollars in damage. Messed the whole front side of his truck. Luckily, my insurance did cover all of the repair. Took weeks to repair all. We did get a rental during that time. No fun, when that happens to a vehicle. They are frisky now, as trying to get as much food for the winter coming. We are careful around dawn and dusk when we are in the areas where deer are seen in the streets. And statistics show that most accidents occur within 5 miles of your home. DH was around 3 miles away, when he went along the park where deer are one early morning, and his truck took the hit from a deer.

Time for bed for me. Had to watch the fireworks one last night. Checked in for our flight tomorrow. So, will checkout by 11 am, and enjoy a brunch in Disney Springs and do last look at anything else we wanted to buy, before getting gas and maybe hanging out at the mall, before returning the rental and dropping off our luggage and riding that fake monorail to our gate.

Good Friday night all.

Posting at nearly 4 am because my obnoxious cat decided that someone else needs to be awake with him. I seem to be the only one who can't sleep through his screaming.

oops….looks like I missed your birthday Charade!
Hope it was fantastic!
It was on Tuesday. I didn't do much, but did get a nice dinner at one of my favorite restaurants.

He was driving in the dark and rain when it happened. The car is still drivable, but the right side mirror is damaged. The body shop can't get to his car until January 26. Thankfully our insurance will cover it and provide him with a rental. Looks like we will be taking my car on vacation next month.

I found out last night that our Christmas plans have been canceled. We normally spend Christmas with friends, but one of our hosts is sick. I suspect he may be better by Christmas day, but just wants a break this year. He normally does most of the cooking. We ( and the other guests) have offered to contribute more to the meal, but he always turns us down. He cooks both thanksgiving and Christmas dinner and always over does it. So now we are trying to figure out what we want to do instead.

Caspian seems to have settled down, so I an going to try to get back to sleep.

Hope you did, get back to sleep, Charade. Naughty Caspian.

I woke up hearing an alarm, that is coming from outside, that still is going off. Wonder what it is? Think finally now off. Ugh. I’m use to some loud trucks on the main road, that goes along the next large block from the back of our house, in overnight hours, as also some loud planes, as Air Force base in nj is not far from us, and they do flights at odd hours sometimes, usually around the time Charade was woken up. Or sometimes a helicopter, as our hospital, close to us has a helicopter pad, as well as news helicopters, sometimes all wake me up in those overnights’ hours. Most of the time, I do go back to sleep. This time, today, nope.

But is the weekend, and glad I don’t have that what they call anxiety filled Sunday night any more. Yay! But this Sunday, I should be tired at night, from the baking and candy making, that we will finish on Monday. My sister and I are getting old, so for the last couple of years now, we have made our holiday baking a two day event. The first, usually getting the rest of the supplies we need, and start some of the baking, then the second day, finish up and by late dinner time, start to box up. This year, since so late, due to I’m having some park fun this last week, we bought all we need over the last couple of weeks, so we can get going earlier on the first day. Yay, home holiday fun will continue almost all of next week too.

This year has flown by. Christmas is 5 days away. Almost shocking to me. Even nicer? Weather is to be dry, and the high of 43 on Thursday. No shorts, but at least pants and my lightweight winter jacket that day. Older one, yeah, with that temp, will still be in shorts. As if we go out for a coffee run for DH at Wawa that day, I’m sure we would see others in shorts too. But I tend to be old and cold as they say, so I’ll have pants on. Not my wool pants, but lounge type ones instead. Yay, next week, still in the 40’s and even mid 50’s to end the week. Then in the 10 day forecast, we go from a 56 degree high on Friday, yay that day after Christmas Day shopping will be dry and warm. But as winter arrives soon, next Monday, the high is to be 34 degrees. Little brrr from me that day, if true the forecast.

Good Saturday morning. Hehe, phone just flashed you can checkout now in their app. Um, little one is still asleep. I asked her to set her alarm an hour before our latest checkout hour is. Which is still almost 3 hours from now. Eh, now that I’m up, might as well get ready for the day.

Super Happy Saturday, and hope all have a wonderful weekend.

Ack. Still can’t believe Christmas less than a week away now. But yay, this time of year, is my favorite. Favorite food only found then, and I love all the decor and music this time of year. And only time the parks are so pretty will all the lights and holiday music. And party fun and jolly park fun nights too. Both of which we enjoyed those nights. And the weather was mostly warm and dry those two nights, including the deluxe late night we did too. And how fun, as could see the park fireworks from our balcony. Woot! So nice I could get together a last minute holiday trip.

Hehe, good morning homies. Ooh, hear little one up. Yay! Off I go. Have to hit the shower now.

Woot! Weekend here. 🧑‍🎄

Thanks Lynne. I did eventually get back to sleep and slept until 9:00.

I kind of envy your holiday baking. I suppose B and I could do some, but since there are only 3 in my family we would eat way too many treats.

I can't believe we are near the end of December and we have the windows open. We are supposed to have a high of 64 on Christmas Day.

It looks like our Christmas meal will be at Red Lobster followed by going to see the new Wicked movie.

I just got a new Christmas shirt today. It features an iconic landmark from my hometown.
