Any Wii's out there??????

SoCal

Bell Gardens ToysRus
Montebello Circuit City

Does anyone know if you can pre-order them somewhere on-line for the upcoming shipments? Just wondering!

I'm not sure about that, not making much profit on the system. One I watching on ebay last night went for $435 and he charged an extra $35 for shipping. Ebay fees aren't enough to erode all that down to $50. But that said, I just won't do that. The one I'm trying to get it for will understand if he only gets a picture of a Wii on Christmas morning. It doesn't look like I have much choice.

I agree with you, Shipping fees are always passed on to the buyer and should NEVER cut into ones profit(on any item).

Retails for $270(after taxes)
Sells for $420

How one comes up with "only" a $50 profit I do not understand.

I just got home from our local Toys R Us (Dayton, Ohio) and they had 2 of them sitting on the shelf. I commented to my dd that those were hard to come by -- as I walked past. Luckily my older dd has no interest and my two younger children are too young to care.

Wow, I wish I would have that kind of luck! If you happen to walk past another one and would want to buy it for one of us, I'm sure some of us would gladly pay shipping charges LOL.

:thumbsup2 Just called my local Wal-Mart (not a supercenter) and asked about the Wii. They said they have some now but can't sell them until Wed. 6th at 8:00 a.m. I asked how many they had and he said that he could not tell me. I had asked Saturday at a Supercenter Wal-mart and they said they had 8 so I don't figure the regular Wal-marts will not get that many.

To the person that posted how many each Circuity City would get today, can you find out how many Wal-mart will have on Wed?

I remember my brother years ago saying that was the first year that he wasn't going to be able to have Santa delivered what one his kids wanted....some new thing ..... Nintendo! I said wow because I knew I'd seen them sitting around the store where I lived. We did the same kind of Santa transaction. It was nice to help out! :goodvibes I wish someone I know would happen upon a stack this year!

Sold for $410
Paid $325.xx (my system came with a game-paid full cost for game as well, no coupons)

Shipping cost $19.00/charged buyer $25.

Bought bubble wrap, and box--for $25 DH wanted it to look nice and not CHEAP.
Bubble wrap was $4/Box $2. Shipping was $1 over. I aim for about "per cost" shipping.

Listing fees

extra pictures
FVF
Paypal fees

Cost of time to go to Post office and get it wieghed.

Sleeping out my time: = not worth it!

His numbers were waaaaaaay off at least in my case. He posted my store would have 54, I was #37 :yay: :yay:. At 10 mins before the store opened they came out with 14 vouchers  Oh and it was 20 degrees

I have one supposed to ship on 12/4 (tomorrow) from JCPENNY, but I didn't want to take any chances. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it really ships! Wish me luck

Maybe employees purchased the other systems. :confused3

that could very well be what happened. When we slept out for launch, there were Best buy employees in the line with us. The employees told us exactly how many units were in the shipment while they were walking around.

However, the Best Buy required these employees to stay in line like everyone else and they had to take days off to wait. (some were there from the day prior)

I plan to be in line at my Walmart around 5am Wednesday. They open at 7:00. Do you think that's early enough? They will have 32 in stock.

When I stood in line on November 19 I arrived at 6:15 and was #37. They only had 32 that day, too. The 32nd person in line said she arrived around 5:30.

I can't figure out if there is more or less demand now, two weeks after launch. Any guesses?

I think there is less demand now. I have stood in line several times since pre-order days and here is my observation - early in the launch there were high school kids camped out all night because they HAD to have the game. When I got the Wii this past weekend, there were mostly "moms" (I am assuming) going up to the door getting the tickets.

I plan to stand in line at WalMart for the ones that are coming out on Wed also. I was thinking more like 10-12 midnight. I want to do this once and get it over with. I think I'll know right when I get there if I even have a chance. I figure if I'm in between 1-10 I'll stay and wait, but if I'm number 40-50 forget it.

My friend and I are working together to try and get our kids one and she waited sunday morning at a ToyRus and was number 20 and they had only 19. Major bummer!!!!!!

I'm dedicated but I don't know how dedicated!! Know what I mean?!

I arrived at Circuit City yesterday morning at around 6:20 and was #10. AT around 8:45 they took down the "Wii Temporarily Sold-Out" sign to reveal that they had 30 available. They handed out the vouchers at approx 9:40 and there were about 50 people in line. They took the first 10 people inside the store at 10am. You couldn't leave and come back and pick up your system. You had to be there when they called your voucher number. Glad I got one for my DH (he has NO IDEA!!) but I don't think I would do it again. He would have been just as content to wait until after Christmas to buy one.

Do you think all WalMarts will have 32?? I am trying to decide which walmart to go to, a 24 hour walmart or one that opens at 7:00...... I just need one for my son, Why do they make it so hard...............
