Any Wii's out there??????

My WM now says midnight, after telling me both midnight and 8 am. Won't now say how many they will get. My DH will be there. We'll see what he comes home with.

This is the ebay auction number where the guy bought the units at Best Buy where he worked. The whole thing was so sketchy sounding I wouldn't have dared to buy from him, but someone did for $450 with $100 shipping! 130053720352

The Barnes & Noble bundle is actually through Gamestop. There is a lot of speculation about whether or not they actually have enough units to sell and if they can deliver by Christmas, as the shipping date at Gamestop.com is December 18.

I went to Target this morning, at a friend's suggestion. She said some of the shipments are coming vis UPS, midmorning. I was there when the UPS shipment got there, but no Wii

Even worse, I overheard someone else shopping in electronics say that they were told by someone at WM, that the Wii will go on sale at 8am, not midnight. That is disastrous for me if Target actually has some in stock tomorrow... I can't get to Target any sooner than 8:25am (unless I go there before I take DD to school) and by that time people will know if they got one at WM or not, and if they don't, it's almost a certainty they'd go right across the street to Target. By 8:25am, any Wii in that store will be long gone

I just came from my local Walmart that opens at 7:00 and they had signs posted. Tickets will be passed out at 7:00 and wii's will be given at 8:00.
HMPH! I can't be there from 7:00 to 8:00! I have kids to get to School.

I have been trying for awhile now to get one, but i have talked to my kids and told them not to count on one, because a mom only can do so much. I will keep trying until a week before christmas then i have to buy something eles because this was their main christmas gift . Wish me luck!!

same here. My kids have been talking about this gaming system for MONTHS. They've been reading about it in Nintendo Power since it was being called the Revolution and not Wii, LOL. I don't even know what I'll come up with as a substitute at this point.

I just don't know why Nintendo couldn't make/manufacture millions of these units BEFORE the launch date or better yet - don't have a launch date until you know there are millions already manufactured.

I think the manufacturers like to drive kids crazy by advertising these new video game consoles then the kids turn around and drive their parents crazy wanting one - then everyone runs around like crazy trying to find one for Christmas. It's all CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, had to vent there a little as I'm also trying to find one and "work" at the same time and that doesn't seem to be working for me, LOL!!!

Only one Wal-Mart close to us, so it is our small Super Wal-mart in the morning. Ds17 plans to go about 6:00 and then I will go and take his place in line when he has to get to school. Guess I will be late for work again.

I just read on another board one poster saying their "Walmart spy" said they will have 3 Wii's tomorrow..............this is the reason why I don't spend my time in line.............you don't know how many systems each Walmart will have and why wait for hours upon hours NOT knowing if your getting one or not - that's CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I need to start going in the mornings more often. I've tried twice.. on unadvertised days with no luck. I just assumed they are *never* there. I'll keep going on unadvertised days, I guess.

This morning told me absolutely midnight. I called a minute ago to just make sure...oh, we are selling them at 8 am. I questioned the difference. They had no idea but this person says 8 am.

I called several Walmarts in my area and they both confirmed 15 wiis and opening at 8am. The one lady told me that there was no camping out and no lines. When I questioned her she said they wanted to make it fair. I'm thinking how is that more fair!!! I think I will try to be there by 5am before I go to work. Good luck to everyone!!!!

It seems like most wal marts around here are trying to discourage the lines also. Since they employ a Security Guard firm to patrol their parking lot, I guess they will at least be able to keep it from forming outside their door on their property.

I have to say however, I think the "mad rush" form of distribution is just asking for trouble. At least the lines usually remained somewhat orderly.

wow, sold out for both the console & the bundle (console & 5 products)?

As for the Walmart edict of no camping out & no lines, assume they'd need security to enforce.

Since most WMs let RVs camp out overnight in designated areas, what they'll wind up with is people sitting in vehicles w/engines idling, making a mad dash for the door...amazing if someone doesn't get trampled.

Most stores only let X amount of people in the door for this type of sale @ a time.

I think they were up around 5pm EST, and they were gone within 15-20 minutes. Everytime I added the required number of items into my cart, stuff would disappear. It was VERY frustrating and I didn't get one.

I was VERY LUCKY!!! I got one for my sister the day they came out!!

I work at a Super Target but we are required to wait in line like everyone else and can't wear red and kakie. So I knew how many we had got off work went home ate and went back to target where I stayed for the next 11 hrs. Then I went to work today and we had the PINK DS Lite so my sister gets that too!!!!
