We've been doing this for the past few days with my daughters: "One week from right now, we'll be _________ at Disney World!" Anybody else pass the time during this excruciatingly SLOW final week before your trip???

If so, feel free to join in: "One week from right now, I'll be __________ at Disney World!":)

Me and my kids, ds-7 and dd-9, have another game we like to play. They enjoy when I ask them Disney trivia about the parks and restaurants. We do this for hours as we drive around town.

Hope you and your family have a great time. We will be there a week from Friday. Can' t wait.::yes::

I've been playing this in one week game by myself in my mind at work all week!

In one week I'll be SHOWING MY PARENTS around Downtown Disney!!!

Not only do I do that, but I also say "Two years ago today we were on a plane on our way to WDW" . I actually celebrate anniversaries of my trips. Pretty bad, huh? My poor DH just rolls his eyes.

1 week? I usually start at about 10....and drive my kids nuts ;) I also continue it for quite a few weeks after.

Oh yeah! And I do it when we get home too. 24 hours ago I was in the MK, 36 hours ago I was at Chef Mickeys, etc...

:earsgirl:

My 6 year old DS will yell me everything he wants to do,eat and see "as soon as we get there." My DW and I usually do it on the first Monday back to work. As in last Mon. I was eating lunch in Japan instead of the break room.:(

One week ago tonight I was watching Illuminations. ::yes::

I laughed when I read this thread. My 3 dds and I have been playing this too!! 2 weeks from today we will be at MK!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :hyper:

On the way to school, I reminded them: "One week from this very second, we will be eating breakfast with Cinderella in her castle!" I thought my 6 year old was going to faint (even though she's known for 2 months)!:)

This thread gets my vote as one of the sweetest ever! I love reading these memories/anticipations!

:D How sweet!

We did sort of the reverse of this. While walking off the bus, up to the AK on an EE day(about 7:45), I looked at my watch and told DS that right now all the kids were at the bus stop waiting to go to school. He couldnt believe it! :teeth:

I have a friend at work that is so into Disney that his plate on his car reads..."Disney 1". I have been thoughtfully telling him every day how many days I have left to go.

I'm sure he appreciates the fact that I do this because he has stopped cursing me and just mumbles stuff under his breath. I don't know exactly what he is saying but it's something like "Eat something and Try (or something like that). Can't quite make it out but I'm sure it's good wishes.

:hyper: :crazy2: :faint:

I did this with my kids this morning on the way to school.. "16 days from this minute we will be driving to the airport, and you won't have to go to school for 6 whole days!!!" My YDS made a calendar at 100 days out and has been crossing the days off as he get up. He's been my daily reminder. It's so cute, they can't wait to go!

Three weeks ago today I was at the MK riding Haunted Mansion!!!:( :( :( (I know this because it's almost 2:00 CST, which is 3:00 EST, which is when the Share A Dream Come True parade starts. We got off HM in time to watch most of the parade.) I want to go back, NOW!!!::MickeyMo

I just told my kids the other night that we had breached the "150 days" mark. DS11 wanted to know how many hours that meant.

Well, I have two calendars at work, one to mark the passage of time, one to mark the days til my vacation. My DBF and I have been making frequent trips to the Disney Store to pick up a few more Disney Dollars and pick up clearance items. I've also been on the Disboards at least twice a day and hunting through Travel channel scheduals for Disney World specials. I even watch the new planning DVD over and over. I am so excited!!!!

i don't know about the past week being slow, but this entire past month has been dragging on and on and on. It seems like forever until the 28th and the 1st of Feb. seemed like a year ago. i need the warm florida sun!

Anybody got the planning video with the narrator talking about going to WDW when you were a kid and now your all grown up and planning on taking your kids?

I have watched this more than once and the other night we watched again as a family and I swear everytime I watch it I almost burst into tears because I can't believe we are finally going! This will be my 10 year old twin dds and 6 year old dd's first time there and I am so excited; I feel like a 9 year old kid when I went for the first time! The anticipation is killing me!:jumping1: :sunny:

Gotta go start packing!!:hyper:
