I need a link to translations, because I am totally out of the loop. Plus I have a cold and I can't think right now anyway! :rotfl:

What is AF, tww, BD, bfn, yada yada yada? :confused3

Welcome Erica! Judging by your screen name, I am assuming you speak a little Deutsch?

I was also clueless until someone directed me here:

www.twoweekwait.com

There is a dictionary on the left. I still refer to it often!

I got my first pregnancy "charlie horse" last night... Well, around 5 am. I literally woke up screaming in pain, it hurt so darn bad, and my poor dh thought I was dying- scared the crap out of him!!

Now I am terrified that this will continue!

And just the other day we were talking about when it rains it pours: my mom is in the hospital (surgery) and is having complications, and I was getting ready to leave my house to go see her, and my DH's car won't start. :furious: I *think* it's just the battery. I hope.

It's like a whole other language! Thanks for the link. Let me see if I am doing this right....

Still waiting for AF after 8 weeks (WTH?), should happen ADN according to my GP, then we can start doing the BD again around my O, and then a TWW and hopefully a BFP!

How did I do? :rotfl:

Ja, un poquito. Wait. Kleines? It's been awhile. My husband is pretty fluent and he picked the screen name :teeth:

Ja ich spreche ein wenig Deutsches. Ich dauerte ungefähr 7 Jahre von ihm in der Schule

I think that's right - it's been 11 years!! Amazing what I retain!

Wow, not bad! I took 3 years in school and never used it. I'm one of those that needs to do something every day in order to remember. My Dad? He is still fluent and has not spoken it in YEARS. Isn't that funny?

Becky,

Try to eat some bananas. They are supposed to be really good for the leg cramps. Also, if you get one the cramp on the calf, stretch your leg out and stretch your toes. If it's on the thigh part (front or back) bend your leg in order to stretch the thigh muscles.

I hope that I don't get them or don't get them often- I still can't even look at bananas without getting nauseous.

OK ladies, tell me the truth.

I am in the 2ww, and yesterday I went to a park and had to pee really, really bad. I went into the bathroom, this tiny little room, and there were a few small puddles on the ground which looked like they had just cleaned or something. Anyway, there was this overwhelming smell of really bad soapy cleaning stuff, and it was sooooo strong I couldn't believe it!! I just thought, I have to pee NOW, so I will just hurry as fast as I can and go. Afterwards, I felt a little nauseous but I was only in there for a minute or two at the most. If I am pregnant, will my baby be OK from those really disgusting strong fumes? :sad2: I'm really worried now.

From everything I have read, during the 2ww the baby really is just a cluster of cells so it is very very unlikely that anything would harm it. I was worried about a night that I had two martinis, completely forgetting that there was a "chance" that I was pregnant. I completely freaked out, then all the Moms I know teased me about it.

You're ok in this stage.

If I am on cd28, 14dpo, don't you think that something would show up on a hpt? I got a bfn today using a $ store test. I was so nauseous last night that I was sure I would get a bfp today. My cycles may be a little screwed up since my m/c, but I normally have around a 33 day cycle. I am confused because I have heard two things. I have heard test around 2 weeks after you ovulate, which would be today, or also I have heard wait till you have a missed period, which wouldn't be till next Thursday, 19dpo. Huh?? :confused3 Which one is it? When should I really be testing?
I am going crazy!

The missed period rule assumes a 28 day cycle/cd14 o-date and thus 14dpo.

However--are you sure of your O-date?

Some ladies do indeed don't get a BFP until later.

Takes 6-12 days (I think that is the range) for the little critter to implant in the uterus and HCG doesn't begin production until they do. You need HCG to get a BFP---units varies according to the test you take (some as low as 25...some as high as 100).

It ain't over until the crazy lady arrives and you are still within the "zone" of possibility.

Becky, so sorry about the cramps. I have heard, as well, that bananas are really good for leg cramps. Something with the potassium in them that helps :confused3

mickeybar, I wouldn't test until you are due for AF or at least a day or so late. I didn't test until 1.5 days after AF was due for me. I figured anything else was just too dang early for the tests to show a positive. If your cycle is 33 days, your O date would most likely be more than 14 days. Mine is about 13.5 since I have a 27 day cycle (mostly). 14 days only assumes the 28 cycle. For 33 the assumed O day is 16-17 days.

I have some not so good news. I woke up to AF like blood.. definitely more than spotting. My breasts really don't hurt now and I have been feeling the cramps again. I really don't think it is time. I do see brown, but I just have a feeling (and I guess I did on Tuesday) that this isn't it for us. I'm just waiting for the really sharp pains to hit so I can take advil or aleve w/o worrying. Since my doc office is closed for the weekend, I will just see where this goes and call them on Monday.

The good news is that my honey and I are celebrating 6 years of marriage together today  I couldn't be more blessed than I am today :)

No. I did use a opk and it said I was on cd13, then felt some o pains on cd14, so I just started counting cd15 as 1dpo.

I am so sorry. I went through a similar experience in August. I was shopping and felt something like a period, and it was a small amount of brown blood in my underwear and it stopped. I went to the bathroom and a drop of red blood went into the toilet. I had no cramping though, but my breasts stopped hurting too. I went right over for the u/s and there was no movement or heartbeat and I was 8 weeks, and we had just seen the baby and the heartbeat 1 week earlier.

That being said, some women just have bleeding, so don't think it's over yet. I have done so much research on this and a lot of women bleed early on. Please try not to worry and just think positive.

Elaine....sorry about your not-so-great news.

But....Happy Anniversary!! party: That is something great to be happy about!! DH and I are also celebrating our anniversary this month - 5 years on 10/13! That's what I kept telling myself when AF came a few days ago....I am happy to be celebrating the wonderful things that I do have...like my great DH.

Mickeybar, thanks for the words, but after having the spotting come and go this week, I actually don't want to have hope now. It's too much up and down emotionally for me. I have an u/s scheduled for Thursday due to the bleeding I had earlier this week. I have already had to break out the tampons (it is that heavy) so I just don't want to believe it will stick. They have been watching me this week, so we will just deal with it. I know I could try to go in for emergency u/s or something, but at 5.5 weeks, I am sure I can wait unless it gets worse.

I know that sounds awfully negative, but after being such an emotional wreck before I even tested (I thought it was a cruel joke to get a positive) and going through the spotting and cramping on Tuesday, I just can't have hope now. I hope that makes sense.

Kelly, that is awesome that you are celebrating 5 years on Friday. Do you have any special plans for that day/weekend? And yes, having my DH is more important and such a wonderful reason to celebrate. He loves me for me, and pregnant/having kids or not he will love me forever!

I understand Elaine. Your instinct is probably better than anything else. I am really sorry.

I hope you will feel up to going out and celebrating your marriage with your husband tonight at least.
Happy Anniversary! :flower3:
