Kelly, that is awesome that you are celebrating 5 years on Friday. Do you have any special plans for that day/weekend? And yes, having my DH is more important and such a wonderful reason to celebrate. He loves me for me, and pregnant/having kids or not he will love me forever!

We are planning on going out to dinner that night to celebrate. We already treated ourselves to a spur-of-the-moment trip to Disney in August! We each got a Disney watch (DH got the Wittnauer watch and I got the Bulova watch) as anniversary gifts!

And like you said - the best gift is having a DH who loves you no matter what! (And....top that off by having a DH who loves Disney...well, that is just icing on the cake :cloud9: !!)

I know that sounds awfully negative, but after being such an emotional wreck before I even tested (I thought it was a cruel joke to get a positive) and going through the spotting and cramping on Tuesday, I just can't have hope now. I hope that makes sense.

Elaine, :grouphug: to you. I know it must be hard.

I hope you enjoy your anniversary - it sounds like you have a terrific marriage and husband.

Kelly, cool gifts you have there! We have a tendency for all "special occasions" not to go all out. It allows us to go on trips and the like w/o a bit of worry. So we splurge on trips and other big items like that. He did get me Little Mermaid though :teeth:
We will go out to dinner I am sure. We are huge Ohio State fans, so we'll just go out to our favorite restaurant after the game. That's about all we do anyway. We do have our WDW trip in less then 3 weeks too!

And thanks y'all. But yes, I do have a fantastic husband and a great marriage. I couldn't ask for anything more at the moment :)

Elaine,

I am so sorry that this is happening to you. It honestly doesn't sound good. Still, I do know someone who had the same situation and the baby was fine.

You really should NOT use tampons though - if it turns out that you are miscarrying, you don't want to put anything in there.

You do not have to wait until Monday to call your doctor. Call them and the answering service will page a doctor and someone will call you back.

I honestly hope that this works out for you. Please feel free to PM me if you have questions or anything.

Laurel

Laruel,

When it started turning red and I was seeing clots, I called the doctor. I didn't talk to my doc, but the one that was on call (they have 8 docs in that office) did call me back. Told me at my early stage, that there is nothing they expect to be able to do. Unless it becomes ultra heavy or localized pain (signs of tubal) that to go in on Monday for another quantitative.
Right now I just feel normal cramps that I would with AF on her way.

I do appreciate that y'all are here just to listen.

Wasn't Carla going in again for another test today? I have my fingers crossed that it went well!

Elaine- I'm so bummed for you, but on the other hand we now have confirmation that you can indeed get pregnant, so it's kinda bittersweet. I totally understand why you don't want to get your hopes up, though, and I can't blame you for that.

And congrats on your anniversary! I know what a blessing my marriage is for me, and I'm glad you have that too.

Seriously, sometimes when women complain about their husbands, I feel a little guilty because mine is amazing and treats me like a princess. I might complain about something here and there, but overall I know I got LUCKY!!!

Amen! Mine too :goodvibes
I know I am a lucky lady every single day.

Elaine:

Just wanted to let you know I am thinking of you!

Hugs and prayers coming your way.

Hello ladies --

I guess I had tons to catch up on -- like 10 pages worth! Work has been SUPER busy this week and today's the first time I've been able to get on.

AF arrived on Tuesday. So, the bad news is that it arrived, but the good news is that my cycle was 28 days even off the BCP, so we'll see what this month brings (lots more BDing!!! :teeth: )

I was a little upset, but we weren't trying super hard. And, I'll at least be able to drink wine tomorrow at Thanksgiving dinner and not worry.

Glad to see so many BFPs in the last little bit! Congratulations!

What the heck is pre-seed? It sounds like you should put it on the yard...
Still waiting- I am not supposed to get AF until friday. I have felt kind of weird this week- a lot of heartburn (everyday, which is a little more than I usually have). My breasts have been sore, but mainly when I move, take my bra off, etc.. I have had a few light cramps, but nothing consistent.
DH wants to test monday! I think it is still a bit early. Pregnancy tests are expensive, so I would rather wait until I am late.

Hi Elaine - just wanted to say my thoughts are with you. Hope you are doing okay. :grouphug:

And I'll add my comment in praise of great husbands: DH may be hesitant about having a baby, and he might be known far and wide as "grumpy, cranky, and curmudgeon-ly", but I think he's the sweetest, most thoughtful guy and I wouldn't trade him for anything! He may not like Disney (sigh :sad2: ), but he goes out of his way to take care of me and wants to give me "nice-y nice things" (as he calls it). :lovestruc It's very funny - people who don't know him well would say that he's grumpy and a little intimidating, but the people who do know him think of him as a big teddy bear. Small girls just adore him, but little boys tend to be a bit wary...I think that's part of why he only wants to have daughters. princess:

I'll join the hubby love bandwagon. Mine is just the sweetest thing ever. He even sits through musicals with me (saw Rent again last night :) ) and is always trying to do sweet things for me. He tries to plan really awesome trips for us and takes care of me (even when I don't want him to). :)
Oh, if you want to see a pic of him go Here
It's pics from our trip to Alaska last year. :)

!

I have to admit to a "DUH" moment... I was like, WTH- who celebrates Thanksgiving this early?!

Until I realized that Um, DUH, maybe someone from Canada who would be right on time!!! :lmao: :lmao: I'm such an idiot sometimes.

bigolive9- my breasts KILLED me when I took off my bra after I got pregnant! ANd if you dont' want to spend a lot on tests, get a couple from the Dollar Tree. That way if it's BFN, you're out very little money.

To be honest, I like the HPTs from the Dollar Tree best because it was like a little science experiment, what with the dropper and all! :teeth:

Ok, I'm done admitting what a nerdy dumba** I am..

And Pre Seed is the only lubricant that is formulated specifically to be sperm-friendly; helps them get to where they need to be without killing them in the process. ;)

I had the same thought! :rotfl:

I never knew they had them there! How funny. I remember in physiology class we had to use to old pregnancy tests (not on ourselves) and I remember thinking why can't we just use those stick things? :rotfl: How funny that they have them there! That's actually a great idea for those who are trying. I've already been through 2 tests (due to STILL not having started my period, 8 weeks later, since coming off of biurth control) and we haven't even been able to "officially" try yet.....

I admit I loved coming in here this morning to see how wonderful everyone's spouses are  Mine has been a dear, and just asking if there is anything he can do. When I told him the blood flow was heavier now, he just hugged me. We had the best anniversary possible for us. No drinking here though... didn't even think about it (I am usually water only when I go out no matter what). It's all a bit bittersweet. I know I can get pregnant now. We just aren't sure what we want to do next. The holidays are super rough time for me (mom died 10 days before Christmas) so I am not sure I could go through disappointments yet.

I will still go in to the doc on Monday even though I know what the will say. I'll make sure that they give me that RH shot since I am O- and my DH is O+ as it is suggested to get one after a miscarriage.

Enough about me though ;)

Mrs.Explorer, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!! And glad that your cycle was 28 after getting of the BCP. Years ago when I went off, I seemed to be just as regular off as I was on. And the flow shortened by a day (and remains that way)

bigolive, I admit my breasts hurt right before AF comes, but this time they hurt like crazy! You could barely touch them w/o pain (in or out of bra). Made for a lot of ouches while the cats walked over me :p

Becky, you had me laughing with all the Thanksgiving talk! Though I admit I normally forget until a couple of my Candadien friends remind me ;)

Today we bring home a new kitten, so I am looking forward to that little joy in my life :)

I got my first pregnancy "charlie horse" last night... Well, around 5 am. I literally woke up screaming in pain, it hurt so darn bad, and my poor dh thought I was dying- scared the crap out of him!!

Now I am terrified that this will continue!

OMG- those are killer! I was about 7 months along and got one, I woke up crying and just fell to the floor. My husband jumped up and thought I was in labor! You have to stand up and walk around, it hurts but it's the best way to walk it off.

My story today: AF is officially one day late. No signs or symptoms of her, other than breast tenderness but that could be either. HPT is another BFN. :confused3

I'm so sorry. :grouphug: I've been through the same, I was 11 weeks and they told me the fetus had died around 8. They went ahead and did a D and C, just to spare me going through the miscarriage myself and to make sure everything was completely out. If things are going bad for you, you may want to mention that. Just a thought.

Elaine - I am so sorry you are going through this. It is bittersweet, because now you know they "guys" can get together. I wish you luck along your journey and HUGS....
