I worry about him as he gets older.. Hopefully, he will work hard. I have my fingers crossed.
I have found that grades 5-8 are the roughest. It's that age where they are 10-14 and think they are 25! It was a tough time for DD and now that DS has hit 5th grade I can see the same thing happening. I think they would rather goof off and socialize than hand in their work and you seem to have to stay on them constantly. Thank goodness for online grades!

As a matter of fact I just ran off their reports...DS seems to have not handed in 2 math papers this week and DD got two F's on spanish assignments. I don't even argue anymore, I just hand them their printed progress reports from the computer with the problem or missing assignments circled in red. They know that I will be expecting them to fix it the following week.
