 Whatever. I know what you meant, and Im sure everyone else did to.

*Note: Not for nothing...but anyone who starts a statement with " no offense" knows full well the words that follow are without a doubt going to offend.

That being said...I'll go on record saying that "stay at home" moms have the hardest job on the planet! I know as far as my wife goes she never gets to "punch out" if you know what I mean. As a stay at home mom she is always on duty!
hello, disney dork. :)

i respectfully disagree. someone who says "no offense" knows that what they are about to say MAY offend someone, especially if taken in a way that may not have been intended. this happens a lot online where you can't see facial expressions or hear a tone of voice.

as it happens, you've stumbled onto a thread of longtime online friends, so we're all good. ;)

:thumbsup2 Good job being tactful! Sorry... I dont have it in me right now. I think the babies are cutting off my tactful button. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Maybe it was just me...no offense  but when you said staying at home wasn't for you then following it up with the statement of "not having to work" it's pretty easy for someone to put two and two together.

Again that's just me...as I know the grief my wife got when she decided to stay at home. It's hard explaining to some people just how hard a gig it really is.

Thank you Alex. That is exactly the reason why I stated that note. It is very easy to misinterpret one's comment online as you cannot see their facial expression or sense the tone.

Welcome Disney Dork. :) I do not have children but I do understand and know that raising children is a tough job.

you have one of those? spork-woman? ;) :lmao:

Its teeny tiny... But there. I am generally good at holding my toungue. But being ginormously pregnant has destroyed my desire to be nice. Thats how you all know I like you... Im civil. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao:

Are your twins going to be born with a spork in hand? J/k!

It's all good. I've just heard similar statements too many times before and I jump into defensive mode.

hey, believe me, i appreciate when anyone steps up in defense of sahms! i've been a work-outside-of-the-home-mom, too, and both are extremely hard. and i don't think there's one way that fits all women, so i don't get the sahms who get so high and mighty that they're doing the best thing for their children while working moms are just being selfish.

i also know that being a sahm, at least for me, my self esteem has taken a bit of a beating at times. no paycheck, no nice clothes, not much social interaction or cerebral stimulation. it most definitely isn't for everyone, but i'm so glad we're in a position to be able to have the choice. :thumbsup2

Even though I don't have kids, I honestly can picture myself being a terrible mother. I don't think I have the patience and at this moment, I admit that I am far too selfish and just not ready.

I do like kids but just don't want my own. Who knows, maybe that will change down the line and I'll have little pixsters! ;) Oh the horror! :scared1: :scared1: :rotfl:
