Hey Hyenas!!

What's happening besides snow and growing big with babies? :rotfl:

I have a full schedule ahead of me again. :headache:

My next projects are sewing pioneer bonnets for my DD's class, sew a bunch of totes, give a baby shower for my niece, get ready for that scavenger hunt for the Ladies Only trip, (i'm collecting prizes for that, and making up questions), making t-shirts for it too, keeping my Mom company and so on.

It never ends.

Ok..........enough of my complaining already!! :rolleyes1

It's a grey day, which means that it's WARM outside.. woohoo. I know, that makes absolutely no sense, but it's true in frozen land.

Bright sunny days in January = single digits temps
Grey and overcast = warmer temps, possible snow coming.

Forecast:
Today: Mainly cloudy. A few peeks of sunshine possible. High 24F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Cloudy. A few flurries or snow showers possible. Low 11F. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph.

Heat wave baby!! It was 5 degrees and windy on our last sunny day -- brrrrrrrrrrrr.

I'm cleaning up the apartment, doing laundry.
Down to one dryer, grr.

I put my money in the other one, turned it on and OMG! as it loudly went
SCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH

uhhhh, guess that is one is broken huh? :headache: $1 in quarters wasted HMPH!

Sis is dropping the lil guy off this afternoon while she does a meeting at school. I'm picking up and putting up all my non preschooler friendly things. Pull out the few toys we have and soem Disney movies.

The cat is already out of reach, she's imitating a vulture. Stalking me from her perch high atop the cabinets or the big TV. Good choice Poly.

Good Afternoon Hyenas!

It's a little busy at work at the moment and one of my customers is being difficult. :sad2: Other than that, I hope the day continues to pass quickly.

Last night I went to Target and got 2 Mossimo brand hoodies. They all had no price tags and there were people waiting behind me in line. The cashier asks me: "How does $12.99/Ea sound?" I said: "Okay!" and he rung me up. I found out later than those hoodies are actually $24.99/EA.

I bought some iron-on patches from Sanrio. I'm going to make one green hoodie into a Keroppi one and the other grey hoodie I bought will have either Batz Maru on it or Dainese. :yay:

Hope you all are having a great day! :grouphug:

good afternoon, hyenas.

sunday evening it was snowing pretty hard and we were wondering about school on monday, but it warmed up to 40f, so we woke to lots of slush. yuck! ds8 wore shoes but we couldn't find ds4's shoes (after not needing them for the past 4 weeks), so he wore his boots. good thing, since ds8 stepped out of the truck to head into the school and plunged into an icy puddle that was up over his ankle. :headache:

so i ran the munchkin to his class, then returned to ds8's school with boots and dry socks.

today is gray and damp, but not raining, at least not at the moment. we still have big chunks of dirty, sandy snow on the edges of the street and in people's yards, but it's mostly gone. the weatherman is promising sun on friday and saturday, so i'm eagerly awaiting that; otherwise we are stuck in the 40s with lots of wind. brrrr!

ds4 and i ran to the store after preschool to pick up some items for dinner. he was begging for a donut from the bakery, so i promised if he behaved i would get him one. i took much longer than i expected (bought more than i expected, too), and he was really pretty good, so i did get him a donut. he chose one that had white frosting and colored sprinkles on top.

he ate his donut when we got home while i made myself some lunch, then left to play a little batman videogame. when i brought my food to the table i saw that he'd taken little bites off the top of the donut, basically eating only the part covered by the frosting and sprinkles. :rotfl:

so he's playing the batman still and i'm doing :laundy: ...

hoowaaaaa!

i was beginning to doubt whether the boy would ever learn to tie his shoes. i just saw a thread on this topic (it seems he isn't the only 8yo to not have mastered this yet), and someone posted the link to a website that was helpful, particularly for lefties.

whaddayaknow. my boy just tied his own shoe for the first time! :woohoo:

Just teasing. ;)

Yesterday:26
Today: 17
Thursday: 16
Friday: 28
Saturday: 13
Sunday: 27

why do we NOT have consistent temps this week? warm cold warm cold warm.. make up your freakin everlasting mind! :headache:

At least we had our frigid below zero temps last month, odd weather pattern.

I made my dinner for later -- chicken soup and breadsticks. Just need to rehaet and away we go! :goodvibes

Going on a walk (indoors of course) with my sis in a few minutes.

Lil guy was just fine with me yesterday, except right before they left.. he decided to tease the cat.. and she didn't like it.

Poor guy felt the wrath with several scratches on his head/ face. :guilty:

He cried and cried and I felt terrible. Sis said "it's his own fault", yeah but I still feel bad.

Poly was naughty while we went out to dinner too-- I had a gut instinct to close our bedroom door, but thought nahhh. I should have listened to my inner warning bell, she bit the dialysis tubing (we had prepped a treatment cartridge to use when we got back). I didn't notice until I went to get the bubbles out of the lines -- we call it snap and tap-- got squirted with saline. :headache: oh boy! What a day!

But I think she got her punishment. Somehow she snagged a back claw and ripped it. Guess who's going to get her nails clipped? muahahahhaha. :thumbsup2

FINALLY, it warmed up enough to really melt our snow. Our snow began on December 12, nearly a month ago. CRAZY!!

Of course now we have a pineapple express bringing in lots of warm (50-60 degree) air and tons of rain. Can you say FLOODING?!

I'm having a busy week, still trying to get caught up from all the holidays and snow days. Not to mention that I am forcing myself to exercise at least 30 minutes a day on the Wii. Last night at 10pm I finally had time to exercise! Tried getting on the Dis and exercising at the same time, but quickly decided that wasn't going to work very good.

It was one of those flyers with a code on it. 30% off the rack rate. But Ill bet they have some good AP rates this year, that are better then that.

I was watching the news last night, and they were saying that they were expecting flooding on 16 rivers. it is going to be gnarly. Especially since it is POURING right now.
