Annual Pass Block out dates

This is perhaps an odd question but I'll ask anyway. I've got an AP (Sorcerer) that has a few blackout dates. These include the days around Thanksgiving and around Christmas/New Year. I understand I can't use the AP to enter the parks those days. My question is, do my other AP perks still apply? For example, could I park at the TTC just to check out the monorail resorts? Or, if there was an AP discount on merchandise or restaurants would those still be valid outside the parks?

The discounts are definitely available because I've shopped on Saturday and my pass is weekday only. I haven't tried parking in a theme park though. Honestly if you're looking to visit the resorts, I'd just go directly there. The gate guard typically allows 3 hours for resort visits, especially if there you go to a restaurant

I went to Ohana for breakfast this morning. AP discount worked in the Polynesian and Contemporary shops for merchandise despite being blocked out for parks today.
