Anniversary button question?

So next summer my parents will be celebrating their 25th anniversary in June and we will be there in august as a celebration for their anniversary and our vacation. My question is, since we will not actually be there at the same time of their anniversary could they still get an anniversary button or do you have to show some sort of proof that you are there during your anniversary?

No, you just tell them that you are celebrating the anniversary and they will give you the pins. Last month was our first visit to BCV and concierge insisted on giving us "1st visit" pins, even though I told them several times we had been to WDW 16 times, just never stayed at BCV before! It was really nice, but seemed weird, too.

We were there in September, celebrating our 10th anniversary (which was in June). We wore those buttons every day (except the last day). It was so much fun to be wished "Happy Anniversary." Lots of little kids standing in line took time to wish us happy anniversary too.

No proof needed...wear them as long as you feel comfortable wearing them.

You can still get them their buttons - either at the resort or at one of the parks. Our anniversary was in August, but due to work issues & vacation timing we're going this week to celebrate. The resort said they'd have the buttons for us at check-in & when we made our ADRs we mentioned it. Not really expecting any big fusses, for us the magic of being together at Disney is special enough after 22 years.

Hope you and your parents enjoy their special anniversary trip!!

Do you think it would be wrong of me to ask for anniversary pins on our trip next year, we're not actually married, but while we are in WDW it's our 'two years together' anniversary...and after things we've been through, it's still really special to us, even though it's not a 'registered' official anniversary? :confused3

Some people on the DIS think it is a big NO NO, some think it is a good idea and others don't care one way or another.

However Disney does not care and actually incourages people to do it (more money for them :rotfl: ).

I go with what Disney says. It is their company so they get to make the rules not the people here on the DIS.
