I know that the hours are posted right now and they are not late. With everything going on at AK and them not knowing with FOL will start do you think that they will extend the night time hours in September? We are going early Sept and I am hoping we can enjoy AK at night. I am not worried about the Jungle book show but I'd like to see the tree of life lit up and see the parties on the streets and rides some rides at night. I am wondering if they wont since it will start to get into slow season then. Does anyone know about how early they start changing times if they are going to? I have two plans written down for both options.

Yes they should be extending hours. Disney is always changing park hours. Just keep watching out they'll be extended soon enough.

Thanks I just looked and it looks like the very first week its open till 11 every night but we arrive the 8th and its still at 8pm. Ill keep checking

Waiting on these changes too. We arrive on the 12th and they still don't have Star Wars fireworks dessert party listed. So hard planning dinner and rides and stuff but it is what we put up with.

It is hard. I have two Sanaa reservations back at AKL (where were staying) that day. I have a 2:50 if they do have late night hours and we will go back to hotel and rest and have late lunch there and then we have a 7:40 if they don't have lake AK hours and we just stay until were ready to leave and we'll eat dinner at hotel. I'll cancel one once we know for sure what were gonna do :)

Similar situations! We have a Tiffins reservation at 5 but if late hours come out we will scrap that to go relax at AKL (where we are staying too) and then go back to the parks late to do some night time rides.

The Star Wars fireworks are listed tho...

AK is no longer a close early at 5pm park. Hours will be extended. Plan around the hours that are given, but anticipate hours to be extended another few hours

They had just recently extended late Septembers hours to 7:30pm. So there's hope they will be extended later?!? I so hope so as we wanted to ride EE at night.

Keep an eye on the hours as they'll likely be extended a little more. Sunset will be about 7:30 in September

I'm waiting as well. I moved my Tiffins ADR from dinner to lunch, so I have more flexibility if park hours are extended past the posted 7:30 PM time now. So frustrating that we have to plan ADRs and FP+ reservations so far in advance, then Disney changes park hours so close to the actual dates.

They've been updating hours about mid-month of the previous month...so mid July for August, mid June for July. If they follow the same plan, it would be mid August for September.

I would be very surprised, and very happy, if September hours are extended beyond 8:00 PM. It just seems unlikely with all the reports of non-existent crowds, but I really hope I'm wrong.

I was curious as to what time everyone thinks the park will be open in January. There were no dining times available past 5:30. I'm really hoping to see the nighttime stuff this time!

The first week they have added them to 11 already so Im hoping they keep doing it. I really want to experience it. Less crowds is great for those that go :) Fingers crossed!!

I'm debating skipping the whole nighttime thing there since Rivers of Light can't get going. I've heard from other members of my family that the safari is ugh at best and I don't care about the rest of the stuff.
