Congratulations on your coconut!! I am hoping it looks like a tree tomorrow too!

I have Nookway now and I really like it! Don't know when I'll upgrade to Nookingtons, but I'm happy with this one. With Nookingtons having shorter hours, I might choose to stay with Nookway..?? I'm sure I have plenty of time to think about it though.

I think that is sort of lame too! I cheat tho..say I want to play at 10pm at night..I just adjust the time to either earlier that day or put it on the next day.

Yeah, I don't keep up with what I spend either... But, that's ok, I like to be surprised when I get the note that we are getting an upgrade! I really like the longer operating hours too! That's why I am thinking of staying with Nookway. But, I guess I should see how Nookingtons is before I decide. I'm sure it's fantastic, with 2 stories and all! I guess the shorter hours might be worth it. ? ? I don't know. But, from what I read (on here or somewhere else on line) that after a week of Nookingtons being open Nook will ask you a question, and how you answer that is the store you will get from then on, and it can't be upgraded or downgraded. OH THE PRESSURE!

You are so brave to change the time!!! I tried to "time travel" one time and it did awful things to my town!! I vowed to not try that again for a long time!!

I really wish I could though!!

Do you only go forward? I tried to back up a day because I forgot to water my red turnips one time, and when I backed up a day, the turnips were already gone. Then the white ones I had before were rotten when I got back to normal time. (Which was sorta ok because I hadn't found a fly yet! ) Also, my hybrid flowers I had grown were dead! And there were weeds all around. It wasn't a happy time for me and my town!

Maybe I just don't have the hang of it yet... I'll have to get brave and try it again... (someday!)

Here is my update: Unfortunately I found out the impact of playing with the dates.. moving it back and forth.. and didn't realize the consequences I had to face... (loosing the whole town with my favorite animals)

I am sad to say... that I have lost half of beloved animals (they moved out of my town with new incoming animals). The town looks horrible that I couldn't bare to see it gloomy..dark..just plain sad looking. But most of all.. it affected it the most. I felt the loss of my departed favorite animals.. I brought my town down.. I felt so ashame and disgusted of myself.. I'm teary right now cause like I said earlier on one of my post that I felt that the animals were like my family.. I grew attached to them. They made me laugh and made my day. I know it's just a game.. but to me, I felt a little more that that.. I saw them everyday and talked to them everday. Whether they are having a bad day or a good day.. whether if they were annoying sometimes or just keeping me company.. I loved them all. The town just wasn't the same anymore.

With my emotions.. heart broken.. I felt that I needed to start all over again. I didn't see my "family"... It's just not the same anymore. My drive to play this game is not all there.. at least not for now. I hope with these new friendly animals.. I will embrace them the way I have embraced the others. Even my daughter was sad.. she wants Spork. I wanted to see them all again.. Spork, Buck, Darwin, Mathilda (who I cared for when she was sick), Peaches, Tabby, Truffles, and Static.

Anyway... A new beginning for me. I have learned my lesson not to mess with time.. it's a big consequences to pay (at least for me). I know you guys think I'm nutz Oh well... Thanks for listening..

I was curious about spring.. summer.. and fall. So I went forward and backward and forward and backward.... I then realized that the town is not the same anymore.. It was dark..gloomy.. even the song seems sad. Half of my beloved animals were gone and new ones were coming in. And I knew I had to start all over again.

I can't really play either. My house is filled with fish (aquariums) and my furnitures are tucked away in the dresser... lol. My tools are outside my house, except the ones I would use. I have empty pockets right now, but eventually will be filled with fish, fossils and gyroids. I guess today might be a good day to rest from AC since our store is close for renovation.

Recieved my mail today.. no fruits yet. I guess I could send more letters out to everybody enclosed with our native fruit.

My coconut tree grew! Yaaay! Not fully grown yet, at least it didn't die as a sprout. Now I can start growing coconut trees... I can finally have that "island" feeling in my town!

When you guys grow fruit trees, do you guys mix the fruits in any areas or plant them seperately in different areas. Ex...apple trees near the bus station.. oranges near the Nook's... pears near the bridge..etc. I have my apple trees by the bus stop and a few by my house. My native fruit which is cherry is all over. The coconut.. well.. that one has to stay along the shore area.

We have mixed our trees. I like having the colors all over . The only fruit we don't have is cherries but I keep sending letters hoping to get some. Also, my house is near the beach and the coconut trees give it a nice vacation feel (outside my real house there is lots of snow so I go to my AC house often!) I love this game!

Friday we had hockey
saturday we had hockey, baseball registration, basketball, then hockey again I was gone from 11am till 10:20pm. LONG DAY!!

Sunday we had 2 hockey games and went and visited my fil in the hospital.

Glad the weekend is over. I'm not sure if i'll get on tonight but if i do i'll open my gates. Just ping me on aim if your having problems..

DD caught a Bee this weekend!

I don't think I'll ever be able to do it! I'm glad she got one so we now have it in our museum! Whew! Those things are hard to catch!

I'm looking forward to the fishing tournament this weekend. I think this weekends tournament is for the largest fish on any type.

Also, Valentines Day is this weekend. I wish I knew how to get candy. Anyone know if that's even possible? If not, what should I send in a valentine letters? Maybe it will become more evident as it gets closer...

My coconut tree died. I sent fruit out to all the animals, and I got back anything but fruit. How do you plant the fruit anyway? I can dig the hole, but I can't figure out how to get the fruit in it. I am sure it is some step I am skipping, but it is frustrating me.

Just open your pocket, click on the fruit and select bury or plant (I forget exactly what it says). I always plant my coconuts right along the border where the grass/snow meets the sand. You have to be careful not to plant the coconuts in an area where there are a lot of other trees because there is a limit on the number of trees that will grow in an "acre".

I have gotten one painting from Nook, and it was good. I have gotten 2 from Redd's and one was good and one was bad! blah! I was so angry! There is one there now, and I'm afraid to get it!

I just upgraded my house to a second floor and I caught 2 stringfish over the wekend. DH cought 2 tunas! He also bought the King Tut mask. It is so funny. If he runs fast, he falls over!
