Stephanie, you can take the inside wiring for my phones to the dump! I finally figured it out, I have some bad wiring. Ringing current apparently makes the jack go bad, SOMETIMES. At least I have another jack to plug into.

I think I shall hop into the shower, fix my hair (yes Alan, it is broken) put on make up for the first time in 2 weeks and then come back to DIS some more.

I have to chase down 6 ornamnets from the exchange, 8 were not recieved, 2 of those were definately not sent, the others have gone lost in the mail. Not bad out of 150.


Sue, I think you posted on our old thread a few times, we get so chatty we have to move every couple of months. The mods don't like us going over 150 pages!

Just back from my Curves workout and it is FREEZING out there.
Very windy and light flurries blowing. Just had to chase garbage around the cul de sac. NOT fun.

Today's gonna be a good day.....NOT! First day back at work and it took me 1 hour and 20 minutes to get here! (Of course the first thing I do is jump on the DIS instead of getting right to work... )

It's cold here, but no snow. I think it got down to 7 last night and the wind chill this morning is still below zero. That is cold for Oklahoma. We won't get above freezing today. I'm staying in my cave just like a grumpy old bear.

I'm still sick but feeling MUCH better. I think the medicine is doing the trick. Now if I could just shake this cough. Yuck.

I'm off to see if I can find anything to throw in my crockpot for tonight. I've got to quit making Allen cook every night and since I'm feeling better . . . the only problem is that I really need to go to the grocery and I don't feel THAT great. If all else fails I think I have a jar of spaghetti sauce and a box of spaghetti. Not the most exciting dinner, but about my speed right now.

Not a long post since I got in to work at 10:30!!!!!!!!!! My FIL was late getting to my house and I finally left at 9:15. There were accidents everywhere!

How cold is it there in sweet home Alabama?
It is about 10 here with a wind chill.

One of my new years resolutions should be to learn how to do more technical stuff online like post pictures. lol

SB and LK, sorry about your bad commute. Roads in Cranberry are just wet right now but they were pretty slushy earlier.

Since they will never read this, I can tell you. My inlaws are driving me nuts over vacation. They are worried about the heat. I can't go in June now because I forgot about band camp. So it looks like August. (Won't the temp be close to the same in June and August? Still hot and humid!) My SIL went and booked a 3 BR house with a pool near Orlando for just her family in July (the week we were supposed to go to the beach). My question is: why can't she take her mother this year??? She told me: they need their space. Why won't that work for me????lol
I am actually trying to talk them into the week after Thanksgiving for less crowds, better temps and the Christmas stuff. I think they would enjoy that much more!
(Plus then brernurse and I can go again together in August with kids (our Thelma and Louise trip as my DH calls it). SHHHHH, don't tell!!!)

oh well, like Scarlett, I can't think about this now. I will think about it tomorrow!!!!

Donna, I agree - they would enjoy the week after Thanksgiving much better! Emphasize the cooler temps, lower crowds and holiday decorations.

Diane, the weather was bad earlier today. I didn't see many accidents on my commute so I'm not sure why it took forever.

It is so cold here....when I took Sam to the bus stop this morning the temp was -2, wind chill -25. YIKES. Poor little guy was in tears by the time the bus came, and we only waited about 6 minutes.
Now i have to go back and pick him up.....I am seriously considering driving to the corner (4 houses) to wait for him. Its not the walk, its the waiting I dont want to do in the cold. OK, as I was typing I heard 'wind chill -19" on the news. I think I will be driving to the corner, LOL.
For anyone else dealing with this, stay warm.

Donna, I would try to convince them to go then too!!! I have gone 2 years in a row during that time and I LOVE it!!! Cooler weather, less crowds, pretty decorations! Perfect time of year really

For all you dealing iwth the cold, do your best to stay warm!!! And sorry about the yucky roads in PA... we were lucky and the weather was warm while it rained here so we got very little snow!

Donna, the Christmas season is my favorite time to go! The decorations are wonderful, the crowds aren't bad and the temperatures are cooler. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

All of you with icky roads be careful going home this afternoon. It's cold here, but at least the roads are dry.

Bethany, I'd go to the corner to get him if I were you. That's so cold! Yikes! I'll be thinking warm thoughts for you.

Actually it is a high of 46 and a low of 35 which I was considering pretty cold until I started reading about the rest of y'all.

The actual temp here now is 10 degrees....winds 25-35 mph...I don't even want to knwo what the wind chill is!! I was out earlier & it is cold! brrrrr!!
