Hello Angels from the FTM! Former Token Male

It's nice to see everyone in the New Year! (Could someone PM me on whatever happened to Diane  )

Hmmm...if I join Lou and John would it become the Witless Protection Program?

Wiltless, you? Never. You men are what keeps this thread so fun.

Whoops...perhaps I should have read more closely..sorry! Once again, an Angel lends a wing to steer me in the right direction!

Sorry about your winter blues..or is it whites? It has rained today and the temp is lowering quickly. It should be in the mid 30's tonight, but when I was taking down Christmas decorations last weekend it was in the mid 70's!

You guys would definitely make my DH's job a lot more interesting!::yes::

Sandi - sounds like you had a fantastic time w/ your DD this weekend!

Well, I took my outside decorations down today. I hate putting everything away from Christmas, it all looks so nice with everything lit up.:(

Darn it.....I missed the party again.

My turn.......I'm scrubbing the ceramic tiles on my kitchen counters with Tilex....and trying to cover the smell with a candle.

My gang is due home very soon too....they'd better watch out or I'll scrub them too!!

Alan...words fail me! :p

Vacation must be over - I just scrubbed the shower and I need to dust next. Of course, this has nothing to do with my MIL coming over tomorrow to watch the kids after school....;)

Last night, DH and I could hear water running somewhere in the house. We knew the kids were done with their showers and the dishwasher was finished running. A little trip downstairs explained it - the hose to the washing machine broke and there was water all over the garage. :( What a mess! I am just thankful it didn't happen the night before when we were in Ohio. I have now learned my lesson after this has happened twice in the past 4 or 5 years - I vow to shut off the water lines to the washing machine when I am not using it!

I am so jealous of all of you planning future WDW trips!

So since I am relatively new around here, what does your DH do for a living? (he asked with great trepidation  )

And this from Miss Communicate? :p

There is probably still some food here...let's dig in to the goodies that Laura left!

Hey - look what I found in the hallway!

**LK lugs in a freezer full of Mickey bars!**

Plenty for everyone! Oops, looks like the Oreos are all gone. Someone better replenish them before Gaspode gets here.

Lou, AA, and John - no double dipping with the chips and dip!

Hi All!!

I spent the day enjoying the 90% off sales at Target....or should I say Targets since I hit 2 of them:p
I'm trying not to think about how much $ I spent........instead I choose to think about how much $$ I saved:D :rotfl:

Well that's just a little gender bias, don't ya think?

The fact that it is probably true is irrelevant to this conversation, of course

Thanks for the Mickey Bars though...

I'll add:

Pass me anything with chocolate!

Glad I went to Target on the 31st to get what I had to have. I never made it back because I got sick. What marvelous buys did you find? Make me jealous!

I called the doc today. He is out of town, but his nurse was in. She said it sounded like I could have the flu, but she couldn't be sure. She said whatever caused it, it sounds like it's gone into bronchitis so she talked to another doctor and got me a round of antibiotics. She said that way we'll be safe. If it's the flu it'll take another week or so before I'll be back to normal. Whee! That sounds fun. Actually, I have to admit that I am feeling better today. So far no temp.

The kids were troopers about getting up and heading to school today. I told them I felt so bad that they HAD to be on the ball. They held up their end of the bargain.

I have done 4 or 5 "not fun" loads of laundry today. They are clean, but just sitting in piles. I need to fold and hang them up before I do any more. Amazing how things pile up when one is not doing daily chores.

I'm jealous of all of you that have taken down your Christmas decorations. I haven't done anything. Guess they'll still be there when I get around to it.

Speaking of sales......I got to go to one at a Lenox warehouse on Saturday. Christmas stuff was 1/2 price the warehouse prices....and Thanksgiving stuff was 75% off!

Here's a funny from our adventures in NJ. We were on both the Atlantic City Expressway and the Garden State Turnpike on Wednesday and had to pass through 2 small, un-manned toll booths. We had taken 2 cars and were following our friends. As we approached the first tollbooth they stopped before it and we could tell they were searching for change. Before we knew it Jill was headed to our car to borrow fifty cents. ;)

It gets better! We got separated on the Parkway and we were a few minutes behind them. As we drove through the tollbooth to exit the Parkway I spotted their car.....parked at the side of the road.....on the OTHER side of the tollbooth. They needed change again! ::yes::
So Lew....good guy that he is.....stopped the car and jogged back to them with quarters in hand. He was afraid a camera would pick him up....running through the tollbooth in the wrong direction....and alarms would go off or something!
Jill, on the other hand, said as she watched him bound toward their car she could almost hear the theme from Chariots of Fire! :rotfl:

Well, the car is now off to the repair shop. After paying for emergency road service through Geico for 5.5 years, I finally got to use it. The tow truck came, the driver pushed the car out of the "garage" and up on to the flat bed it went. Maybe I have it all wrong, maybe the car liked riding so much, it decided for one more time!

I did all the wash and dry today, so tonight we will have a clothes folding party. It is not anything as fun as laundry, but it has to be done!

Lou, SBs hubby is a US or Federal Marshall. I think she would have some good stories to tell, but not on a chat board.

LK, I do love all the treats you brought. I will have a Mickey bar, please.

I will be going to the new house tomorrow, we have an appointment at 3pm, I hope they have a brochure, I am bringing my tape measure, paper, digital camera, so as I can take notes and pictures. I have never been able to pick out colors from the start. I wonder if they will rearrange the kitchen layout for me, too? The sink is located right in the middle of the breakfast bar counter, I would prefer the cooktop go there, maybe I can get a down draft vent kind. Boy what I wouldn't give for a professional kitchen. But I will make do with what I get! It will be a load off my mind to have it all settled. Carol, we do move fsast, because I hate to dawdle. And Pete is very indecisive, so when it is the right thing to do, it has to be done. Then he can wsecond guess it for a few weeks or months before something else distracts him.

Off to make spagetti, we haven't had it in months, but the cold weather makes you want comfort food, at least that is what I hear.

If anyone has any after riddle mints, I still didn't get it!
