Hi y'all... at about 5:15 or so, we were kicked off of cable modem hook up... still not on... it comes and goes, but not reliable enough for me to be on... so I am on dial up :faint:

I shouldn't do that, especially since the dial up is loading quicker than the cable modem :p

So just saying hi and hopefully I will be back on cable soon... and I realize how much I miss cable modem for my music... I use launch cast radio and listen to a "Third Day" station (plays a lot of music in that genre or just the similar rock style as they are) and I cannot listen to it

I hope y'all have a great evening :)

for those of you that watch The Apprentice - it's on tonight at 9 instead of Thursday.
Which is perfect for Bethany since she is off on Fridays......:p

Okay, you all know that Jr. and I had a bit of a falling out in July.....and surprising or not, he struggled without my support  ::yes:: as much as I was his BIGGEST and FIRST fan, the rest of the hanger-onners did me in. (*secretly I still want him to win the championship)

but anyways.....read this article tonight and thought I'd share it with y'all:

Jr. Says Dad Was With Him During Crash

okay, all of you are sitting there wondering *** I'm talking about.....not here all day....then posts with a TOTALLY unrelated topic.....just read the damn article  it's nice in my own little world!

Why don't you ever go shopping for me mom?

Lars, there were multiple OM teams at my middle school. I always wanted to be a part of one, but there were never any free spots.

And who mentioned band practice in the rain yesterday? Because I had one of those today. It was cold rain too. Not a down pour, but enough, over a long enough period of time, to get my hair, shirt, and clarinet pads soaked.

Other than that, it was an ok day. I just came to the discovery that I have a lot of work due within the next work. Oh boy. :( And this is probably just an excuse to use this super cool smiley, but my goldfish Harold is flourishing in his new home of my dorm room. However, Walt (named after WDW) is not looking so hot. I think Harold worries about Walt, he back and forth right over the slow-moving frog, to get him to move.
:fish:

:Pinkbounc Congrats on 3000 Mike!!!!!!!

Donna - Feel better soon, so you can catch up..........Until then..........just try to keep the litter box clean.............................. :teeth:

Steph, I read it and I still don't know what the heck you're talking about!

Hey Sarah, if Walt doesn't make it......

Dinner is ready and waiting, but Allen and Amy haven't arrived yet. Figured I'd grab the few minutes and check in here.

Thanks for the heads up, SB. I'll try to watch it since I missed it last week.

Donna, sorry you feel bad. Hope you're feeling better soon. And congrats on 3000 posts.

What is "Odyessey of the Mind"? I'm not familiar with that one. Seems I'm asking this a lot. Yesterday it was the ducks thing and today it's OM. I'm full of questions.

Just heard on the news that Martha Stewart didn't get her first or second choice of prisons. I had to chuckle. I'm sorry. Hope none of you are huge Martha fans, but I get sick of people with $ and power trying to call the shots. Why should she get to choose her location? She's no better than the rest of us, right?

Like that's anything new. I was just sharing a cool article I read....that's all....share time is over....back to your corner....and give my ball back.

:( It's just been brought to my attention that MIKE you do not have 3000 posts so I take back my CONGRATS..........I'll put it away for another day!!!!!

Oh and Gail, I'll have what your having......................:drinking1:teeth:

Lars could probably answer this better than me, seeing as she is actually a participant and I was just a bystander. But I'll take a shot. OM is kind of like a challenge/competition thing. There are different "questions" which OM teams answer through skits. There are often certain guidelines, like you have to create a machine, or you have to write and perform a song. Things like that. Then at OM competitions, all the teams put on their skits and get graded on creativity and such, I think. Not exactly sure how that works. I know competitions are pretty serious, my middle school team went to a Worlds Competition once in WDW and there were teams from all over the world, not just the USA.

Lou, that cracks me up. I hear they put Martha in a prison in West Virgina. After going to the WVU vs MD game, and experience WVU's finest, I find this especially ironic.

Sarah - AHEM I thought you just got done saying you had work to do...............

Okay....quick recap of why I'm posting my favorite totally non-related stories on this thread. It's because I can't find a menu to figure out what to order when I go buy my new shirt for dinner out.

Anyways,
Last night--went to bed around 9, woke up at 2 when DS let the dog out again. Couldn't get back to sleep, so went waaaay downstairs to the *pit* and decided to watch TV on the bigscreen. Little did I know, I'd have the pleasure of watching Growing Up Gotti AND AIrline completely uninterupted. Anyways....started watching tv at 2:09. At 2:48 (just an aside, the *pit* is a family room in our basement that is done in rough cut barn boards....easy cleaning up after the kids...just beltsand the walls....::yes:: ) I look up and see a MOUSE running across the wall, right across the Richmond Raceway banner, across the shelf with my die cast cars...and he stopped and LOOKED AT ME!!!!!!! Now I'm 1/2 across the room, I know he can't reach me....but I'm scared anyways....So..I get up and he scurries off under the door into the workshop (otherwise known as Neils' side of the basement  ) So, I figure, keep the damn thing out....jam a towel under the door...yeah, that outta do it!!!

I go lay back down on the couch. NoWAY am I closing my eyes NOW. I watch more drunk people get refused transportation on SWA (love that show) and then I hear scurrying above me. MOUSE AGAIN???? Nope....princess:Mmmmmmeeeeeggggggg decided to come find mom, since I wasn't on my side of the bed. Well, someone didn't tell Mmmmmeeeeeeggggg that 3:30 is NOT when mommy wants to help you brush Barbie's hair. We were both up until 4:30 when I threatened to send her back to her bed.....honestly, I was hoping she was making enough noise to keep that damn mouse away

I finally turned the tv off around 4:30 and dozed until Patrick came downstairs at 5:15. I told him to wake me at 5:45 so I could go for my walk......at 5:30 DH comes downstairs and wants to know WHY I'm sleeping on the couch.......men.....

So, today I bought mouse traps, and didn't get a nap....I'm a little punch drunk right now...think I'll call it a night and go take a tylenol PM.

See youse all l8r

Dear Tech Support:

Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0. I soon noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources. In addition, Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other programs and now monitors all other system activity.

Applications such as PokerNight 10.3, Football 5.0, Hunting and Fishing 7.5, and Racing 3.6 no longer run, crashing the system whenever selected. I can't seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run my favorite applications. I'm thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0, but the uninstall doesn't work on Wife 1.0. Please help!

Thanks, A TroubledUser

Dear Troubled User:

This is a very common problem about which men are complaining. Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is just a Utilities and Entertainment program. Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING!!! It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 7.0. It is impossible to uninstall, or purge the program files from the system once installed.

You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed to not allow this. Look in your Wife 1.0 manual under Warnings-Alimony/Child-Support. I recommend that you keep Wife1.0 and work on improving the situation. I suggest installing the background application "Yes Dear" to alleviate software augmentation.

The best course of action is to enter the command C:\APOLOGIZE because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway. Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance. Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as Clean and Sweep 3.0, Cook It 1.5 and Do Bills 4.2. However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program Nag Nag Nag 9.5. Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0 !

WARNING!!! DO NOT, under any circumstance, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3. This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system.

Best of luck,
Tech Support
