I found out yesterday I'm now getting a brand new Gameroom Ceiling!!!
Could have something to do with the carpenter who backed up and accidently fell in the hole in the kitchen floor that the heating guy had just cut out while installing new ductwork.
1/4 of my gameroom ceiling is now sitting on my gameroom couch!

I'm getting out of here today and going to the pool.

Another beautiful day here.

I have 2 patients to see then I am driving to College Park to pick up Sarah. She has band practice until 4:30 and then we are going to try to get home in time to see the half time show at the high school football game. It is going to be tight because we have to stop at her dorm first and then it is a 2 hour drive out of DC, through Baltimore, during Friday rush hour. Hopefully we will make it so she can see Andrew's solo.

Star, I knew what cathead biscuits were. I was just waiting for the reactions of others. I've never had chocolate gravy, but it sounds yummy. And there's nothing like a good hot biscuit.

Lars, I've never heard of brown, foamy syrup. Sounds interesting though. Wonder if you did a recipe search if anything would turn up?

Sandi, that's terrible. You deserve to go to the pool. I say get out of there before a worker falls on your head.

My focus group last night went pretty well. We were discussing aspects of all the state questions on the ballot in November. There is a whole page of them, Star. We were a cross-section of the voters in 3 counties. It was interesting to see reactions to the different arguements presented for and against different questions. It was an easy $75, and I told them to call me again.

I tried to get on when I got home last night, but internet access was down. Then this morning, it was up but the electricity went off for a while. I'm beginning to think that someone is trying to tell me something. It didn't work, because here I am. LOL!

Why is that on days with no school, Sam wakes up earlier than any other day? I was hoping for a little extra sleep today, not less.

I'm on the phone with my Mom right now........she says that the brown foamy syurup ingredients were....
brown sugar
butter
milk
& a little tiny bit of baking soda at the end to make it foam
then you have to get it off the heat right away or it'll harden like candy.....served over biscuits

I got to sleep in a little bit but all the um lab rat stuff proved to have not work today so I'm in the blah stage.

I've decided to get out of the house anyway and get Grant to the zoo with some friends, that way I at least have to fake it for their sake.

Hi everyone! I skipped out on work at about 10:50 this morning. The headache was still there from yesterday, and I was starting to feel miserable (due to other pains) so I went up to my co-worker who is "over us" and made sure it was okay to leave. Now I am not sure if this is an insult, but he said I looked like I needed to go and to just leave whenever I wanted. So I did I also went to the mall to get some new nailpolish a friend recommended, had lunch at Chick Fil A, made a small run to Penzey's (spice store) and then the grocery store to get some fresh flower and corn meal (y'all reminded me to do that with this biscuit talk )

Carol, I hope y'all make it in time for Andrew's solo!

Bethany, I hope you and Sam had a good time today!

Lars, that foam gravy sounds positively evil!!!!! Maybe when I feel like cleaning the pan I'd make it in, I'll have to try it. There is this sauce I make for chicken now and then (got the recipe from the chef at the Polynesian concierge lounge... they had it on their wings) that is brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic (to make it more like teriyaki, I add ginger now and then). It is sooo good to eat, but the brown sugar makes it a pain to clean after I am done (especially if Luis is in charge of the cleaning)

Enjoy the zoo, Star! Almost went today but it is too humid out.

Well I suppose I should fix some stuff on my desktop... I don't know how Luis managed to do this, but a lot of my programs had to be reinstalled. So I am off to do some of that.
Hopefully I'll have enough energy left to wash some tomatos that a friend from church gave us last night at practice. If I get around to that, I'll puree them and make some pasta sauce for tonight (and freeze the rest)

LK and I just took a scrapbooking break and went to lunch at a new restaurant here, Snake River Grille........featured tex-mex and it was yummy! Especially the fried ice cream at the end!


Now we are going to pretend to scrapbook..........(she says to say that we are really gonna talk about all of you!......in a good way of course! )
