Good Morning all. I got to sleep till almost 9am, the dogs were just so good to me. Then DH calls, why was the phone busy for 2 hours, so once again, I guress the phone was out of order. He is delayed in IAD, but supposedly leaving in a few, so that is a 2.5 hour delay. Guess he will be really cranky when he gets home, and hungry as they don't feed you no matter what any more.

Lars, I con probably get a day away to meet up with you. I doubt we will be going anywhere, or having any company, so it will be a treat to meet an Angel.

Think I need to switch the sheets to the dryer, go out and get the paper from the biox and make some coffee.

Happy Birthday, Congratulations, and all those other catch-ups I missed.

As far as Rockport, I love it. The first time we discovered it was purely by accident. We had gone to Salem and just decided to drive around for a while, maybe go to Gloucester. We got screwed up on one of the annoying rotarys and some how ended up in this little town. I was so glad we got lost, we had a blast just wandering through the little shops and walking around on the beach.
Since that first trip, we have gone back at least 3 times, usually just for a day or so. Last summer, we ditched my cousin at her house in the Berkshires (where we were staying for the week) and rented a room for a night on Long Beach. We had such a good time.
This year we wont be heading east since we are going to WDW, but next year we will probably head to Mass again.

Much catchup needed. This definately isn't a place to miss for a day or so Yesterday we were up and out early and didn't get back till late. Nick had a Bible Quizzers meet. We had 2 blue teams (older kids) there. Team 1 received a trophy for placing 6th overall for score. (Nick was on Team 2, but sould have been Team 1 I found out later) Nick had the highest individual score for team2 though After that we went on a short trip to the mall for bed sheets for grandmother. She actually bought me something too. She bought me a watch becuase I broke mine. I tried very hard to talk her out of it but she would hear nothing of it. I was shocked!!!She never spends ANY money on me. I found a really pretty watch with Tinkerbell on the face, but the band was tight. (I will buy it though after I reach my goal weight!!) The watch she wanted me to get was over $100, but I said no because that was too expensive. I'm hard on watches and I am not like my Aunt and Cousin that would find something really expensive just because someone else was buying it! I found a watch for $35 that was on sale for 25% off It is still really pretty
Then I dropped Nick off at a friends to spend the night. At this point I thought I would have an evening to myself. (DH was at a friends house watching gorry movies ) Well I ended up babysitting my friends two kids. Actually I still had almost 2 hours of queit time becuase they were asleep. Then I had 20 min of the 2 yr old screaming time until her parents got back
It turned out to be a very long and tiring day

Hi everyone ... thought I'd share a funny story

Gail and I were chatting about if people we know "get it" about talking online and then going to meet in person...... I have evaded the truth on at least one occasion about where I was going when going to a meet ......... well I was talking to my mom today about how I went to the casino, had some fun and met up with a woman who I talked online with and her husband .........
"You mean you went to see someone you never even MET before ????? Just be sure you're careful !!" I told her not to worry, that we met at Starbucks for coffee and not in a dark alley someplace .......and again got the "just be careful" response.......
so to confirm the theory ..... some people just don't get it and probably never will !!!

Not much going on today ... a trip to the grocery store, and staring at the pile of tax stuff instead of just doing it ...... they don't call me queen of the procrastinators for nothing !

Hi all... online with a wireless connection! I like it and believe it or not this seems faster than that wire I had before!!! I seem to be cutting out every few minutes just to get right back on and I have no idea why... I suppose we'll look into it though.

Sandy, my sister is kind of the same way. She thinks I am nuts for meeting all I do and even more so that I have stayed in a room with a few from here w/o ever meeting them before!!!

Caroly, congrats to Nick on his score!!! And to the other team for taking in 1st place

Girl scout cookies... I am patiently waiting for mine to come... will get them March 1st I am told

My mom wouldn't get it at all.....she still has trouble understanding the internet in general!

EB has a fever. I could see it coming on her during the shower and we left earlier than we would have if she were fine. We've been watching Nemo together since the guys are still out.

not sure where we're staying....last year it was AKL and we got to meet up with Marsha. We might do AKL again, but I'm itching to get back to the Polynesian....so we'll figure it out soon, I'll definately let you know though.

Sandy, tell your mom if you never talked to anyone you never met, you would be in a room all alone. YOu talk to people everyday that you have never met, in the grocery store, in the bank, etc. I don't get why it's so awful to meet someone in a public place to have coffee, just because you talk with them on the internet. If you never talked to Gail before, and happened upon her at Starbucks and struck up a conversation, found out you had things in common, then what would your mom say? Yep, people don't get it, for sure.

Elaine, when I put the new wireless card in the new laptop, I had to make sure that the XP Wireless controller was in control, otherwise the connection is off and on, and I kept getting the message on the bottom of the screen.

DH got home at noon, we went to the new house, they have done nothing, but that's OK, then we ate at 99 Pub, came home and he caught his naughty finger in the back door closer. It made him almost pass out from the pain, but he is fine now, he will probably have a bruise on the nail, but he will live.

Anyone want to PM me w/ the riddle answer .......I had some theories but couldn't seal the deal (and frankly I didn't put a whole lot of time into it )...... I usually like the logic ones too- guess my brain doesn't think that way on Sundays !!!

Marsha, I agree with your thoughts there as well!!! I see it no different here than in person.. I've met great people in RL and here... and some losers too but the interent isn't necessarily full of awful people... at least no more than what I find in person

Oh and I found out it was a settings thing I needed to adjust with the authentication... if I didn't have some encryption I should have it one way and not another. I'm doing great now!

Ouch on DH's finger there!! I've done that once and it hurt like crazy!! I hope it won't hurt too bad for him in hte future

Just a quick check in. DH and I went to my mom's in Baltimore so I could work on her taxes. (Do we know how to have fun or what.) She seemd a little lonely so we stayed for dinner. Gave the kids money to get pizza at home.

I had a friend I met online come visit me and stay at my house a couple years ago She was getting ready to move to CA and we wanted to get together before then. Unfortunately we don't get to talk as often any more because of the time difference
