First, Sarah got accepted to University of Maryland. And not only accepted but into the College Park Scholars which is their honors program. I am very proud of her.

I am equally proud of Andrew who scored a 1 (A) on his solo and ensemble piece today. He gets to go to States now.

All in all a very good day. And, it's my birthday. What great gifts I received.

Carol, that is such great brag news! I remember SOlo and Ensemble festival. I was the only one in my band to get a 1 the year I went, but I picked easy music, haha. So now Sarah has 2 choices, it's going to be tough, isn't it?

Thanks for the good wishes.

Sarah has finally made her college decision public. She had a first choice but wouldn't tell. I am going to be the parent of a University of Maryland student. This is good for 2 reasons, it is only about 2 hours away and it has IN STATE TUITION. It is also a good school and with politcal science being her major, being so close to Washington, DC is an advantage.

Well, we are off to Outback Steak House for dinner.

Sounds like you are having a fantastic day already. Congrats to Andrew for getting to go to States. And a big congrats to one of U of Md.'s next freshmen!

Busy day today, although I did have time for an afternoon nap. We now have 40+ cases of cookies in our downstairs, waiting to be distributed. Leah had her last basketball game today. We are leaving for bowling in about 20 minutes.

Amy's team played 3 rounds of botball before elimination. Not a bad job considering they are a middle school team playing against some high school teams.

She got a 2 for her duet (oops, I said earlier it was a trio) and we haven't heard the results of her flute choir because she had to leave before they posted the results.

I'm so tired. I slept on the way home in the car. I'm feeling a little better. Hope they don't give me a drink at the party or I might put my head in my plate and snore. I'll check in when we get home.

Had a very busy day with the bride to be. Picked up the wedding gown, (it had to be altered a bit) and went to Kaufmanns to register, as the shower is next month!
I finally got my shoes and purse, (silver) now I just need earrings.

Ugh, the weather was very disappointing today, esp. after yesterday.

Lk, I'm glad to hear the cookies are in. I ordered about 8 boxes from girls in the neighborhood at least 3 weeks ago and was beginning to wonder if they were ever coming in!!

Mp, You're tired because you only had like 4 hours of sleep last night! I'd be a zombie!

Had a busy but nice day at work today. I was in the CCU for 12 hours but it went fast.
