An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

Well, as soon as they changed them, they changed them right back again. No one knows what's going on!

I'm guessing it's nice casual, right?? Not jeans, but not sequins either. ;)

How frustrating on the party plans!

Yes, nice casual, but being a theme park you still always see people in jeans. And I think we did see one couple that was suit/tie and evening gown, though not sequins. But I do remember thinking they were over-dressed.

"It's ok, Auntie Nay-Nay. My mom has a big bum too."

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Sometimes I don't even notice a difference. :confused3

My DH is the same way, I don't think he even notices when I cut my hair anymore, b/c he never says anything. I even changed the color (less blonde, more red) a few months ago and he didn't say anything.

I think it's a guy thing b/c my female co-workers noticed immediately the next day, while some of the males finally commented a few weeks later.

I"m actually thinking of going red. I've wanted to for a long time, not punk rocker shock red, but sorta golden red. I broached the subject last night in the car, and he turns to me and says, you should put some black streaks in it. He was serious! :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

I would pass on the black streaks :scared1:, but if you want to go red, I say go for it. Hair grows out/back, so it's nothing worth crying over. And if you really hate it, you could always try dyeing back to your natural color.

In my irritation and need to ditch the pan quickly, I was not paying close enough attention and left the pan on top of the stove with the handle facing out. Once I had cooled my finger with some H20, I turned back to the stove and sizzled a 2 inch stripe across the middle of my tummy. Yeah, that really sucked. Which is why you should never saute topless.

Ahh, the stomach burn. My DH has done that as well, similar method handle facing out, but he got a 5" stripe. Sex-y! But he was not topless, merely had a big belly hanging out of his shirt when he was moving too fast. Not sexy. :crazy2:

Guess what?? Yup! An EMH until midnight!

Will we make it? Can we do it? Do we have it in us to conquer the World (Showcase) and perhaps even save it with Kimunicators?

I love WS at night - my favorite place in the World! :lovestruc I think the Kim Possible missions would be fun, and it sounds like you have enough time in WS that you wouldn't be missing anything if you did one. Like some others have said, you may regret it if you don't do it and they cancel it before your next trip.

Liesa~~ I am NOWHERE near catching up but I jumped in to see the DC meet info! As for me........with the new trip that DH and I are planning I'm not sure If I can make it to DC :eek:
Thats right, YOU will get to meet the ginger midget in person! Do you know how lucky you are?!?!?!?! hehehe. Please hold your laughter! :lmao:

Then, my little midget twin, with teeny tiny ta-tas---- we can show up together and give each other a normal hug since I'm only 5' even. Won't that be a trip??! With my funky neck whatever is going on, sometimes I get lightheaded when I hug my taller hubby. And no, it's not always from being so overwhelmed by his hotness. ;) (Pinched nerve, I"m pretty certain.)

Anyway, YES!! Of course, we'll keep you posted and will all be more than thrilled if we could rate a Pyrate stalking- whatever strokes our pathetic egos, ya know... :lmao:

You're absolutely right, Liesa. Eventually the Kim Possible missions will go away and you'll be sorry you didn't get to try one!

We did one (Germany) and the girls and I had a good time. It seems most entertaining for young and young-at-heart guests, so I know it will apply to you!

Kathy

Hi, Kathy!!! From what I see on people's TRs they've added some cute details in the Pavs. with the KP's and I want to be sure to see at least a few. Also, EVERYONE who's done one, says that they really helped them notice some of the detailing they have overlooked if they hadn't done one.

I'm chiming in on the KP mission thing. I think you've got to add it to your must do list. It's cute, really it is. I'm sure you'll enjoy it and the beauty of it is that although it has a time frame set to each mission-it's a pretty big window and therefore quite flexible.

I will also mention that when Dh and I did one, we ended up with a mission in a far away country. So I just asked the CM working the KP mission centre if I could have another one instead. It was no problem.

At least one right?? I like that they are flexiblek; in case I get stuck in one of the shops (not too likely) or end up getting stuck on Maelstrom (highly likely) I want to not be ex-Kimunicated.

I'd liek to try Kim Possible, at least once.

I'll give you once on the Clammobiles but I could do Soarin, Test Track and Mission Space more than once.

Personally :)

OH! Don't get me wrong- we'll be riding Soarin' way more than once; probably TT as well. But, Figment only needs to fart once for me, and I can only watch the manta rays for so long.

How frustrating on the party plans!

Yes, nice casual, but being a theme park you still always see people in jeans. And I think we did see one couple that was suit/tie and evening gown, though not sequins. But I do remember thinking they were over-dressed.

I think I'm going with a cotton shirt I got in Dubai that has a sequin design on it It's VERY casual, but dressier than a t-shirt. Long-sleeved since I tend to suffer in AC'd places.

My DH is the same way, I don't think he even notices when I cut my hair anymore, b/c he never says anything. I even changed the color (less blonde, more red) a few months ago and he didn't say anything.

The never-ending hair dilemma. Definitely a girl thing. Will he notice- that is the million dollar ????

So true!! But I fear the few grays that are twisting their white and subltly visible way into my scalp are here to stay.

:lmao: Nice technique!

Like some others have said, you may regret it if you don't do it and they cancel it before your next trip.

I've only been in WS once at night, but not for very long- and it was mostly after they closed so nothing was open. I yearn to go back and see everything all prettied up!

Ooh! I can see you with a pretty golden red....

Go for it!

I'm just a little - ok, A LOT- afraid they won't be able to do it right here, so may wait until I get back and have it done there. I'm convinced I am going to try it. Can you believe I have NEVER ever in my whole life colored my hair?? I've had a couple perms, but not much else. :confused3

That's something I never thought I'd hear anyone say...

Never fry bacon in the buff... :lmao:

Anyway, I won't keep you up... but did you get my e-mail???

Sorry, I got off line right after posting my last post. Yes! I got your e-mail!! :yay: Thank you!

Not sure how long I can stay online, it's starting to storm and it's probably not a good idea to stay online. :scared: I don't want to get electrocuted!

In response to your Kids Say the Darndest Things stories. (I'll bet that shows my age....but I remember the Bill Cosby version, not the Art Linkletter version.) Anyway...the other day my kids were talking about eating too much and James said something to the effect that he was so skinny he didn't need to worry about it. With me sitting right there, Lauren said, "Dad was skinny once too, you know!" Awkard pause. "Ooops."

Awwww. Poor Glennbo  It's OK, I was a stick once too, or as my DH says..."You use to be a stick with a butt and b,".....oh never mind. :rolleyes1

How did you know I needed some hero worship this week?!?! I am feeling overworked and underappreciated!

:cheer2:Give me a J! Give me an E! Give me an N! Give me a B! What does that spell? Jeeeeeen B!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: Jen, Jen she's our gal! If she's not cheered up by now then what the....Oh never mind. :rolleyes1 :rotfl: Sorry, if that offended anyone. :goodvibes

I'd like to try Kim Possible, at least once.

Amen! I could do all of those rides over and over again. Even the clammobiles. :goodvibes

I think this is a good choice, for some reason with all the humidity the cold air can really get to you quickly.

So true!! But I fear the few grays that are twisting their white and subltly visible way into my scalp are here to stay.

 I hear ya! I hate how rapidly it's turning on me, wonder why all of a sudden it's changing so fast? :confused3

You know what...forget what I said from before...if you want to dye your hair, then go for it!! I think you'll look great and besides every girl needs to feel they are looking their best, after a long ten years over there you should do what makes you happy and feel your most pretty doing it. :lovestruc No matter what color your hair is I know you'll be beautiful. :lovestruc

It's a valid fear. I'd go for a semi permanent do it yourself out of a box to test the waters, the kind that washes out in a month or so. I do mine myself otherwise I'd be broke!

No reason to color unless you are as grey as I am...which is a frightening amount of grey. I waited as long as I could as I knew once I started there was no going back....

Sadly in my case waiting meant waiting from 21 to 30.

Darn genes and premature grey!

Is it already storm and tornado season over there? Where did the year go?? I remember like it was just not too long ago that I was in Bowling Green at my parents' place and we had some majorly amazing storms complete with a mini tornado that took out MANY trees in there neighborhood. That was June!!

I think that's what it is... Everything seems to have gone to pot in the last year espeicially- the changes are happening WAY to fast. I guess my running and primping is a knee jerk reaction to something that is a irreversible condition. :rotfl2:

A new do would just be icing on the beauty cake.

Luckily I've only got a few. I guess I shouldn't worry. A Good Book I know about actually calls it a "crown of glory" and sign of wisdom.

DH is totally grey now, and in my opinion is sporting it pretty handsomely.

I did look at the store at the coloring kits they have, but they were all a shocking auburn or electric red; I"m not going there. Just a nice amber or honey colored red is what I'm after.

It is, it is. Thankfully the storm didn't get to bad here, although earlier today it actually hailed, rained and blew like the dickens! Of course this happens right after Mackenzie decides she didn't want to go into the nursery at Lowe's to look for strawberry plants with me, so she elected to stay in the van. Normally I wouldn't allow this, but I could see the van from where I was going so I didn't think it a big deal. Needless to say, no sooner than getting under cover the hail came down and she got to experience this whole ordeal alone in the car. Poor baby.

I guess I should take it as a crown, but I'm still gonna do it while I color it. In other words I guess I'll wear my crown under my veil. hee hee:goodvibes

Poor thing- Hope she wasn't too scared in the car with the sky falling down! One time one of my sisters was driving through Texas on her way home to California, and it hailed to badly that it dented her car and smashed her rear window!!!! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Hey All, I know some of you read my blog when I bother to update it. You are in luck. I actually spent some time over there, rather than here, so if you want to see the foods we enjoyed at Nauruz (which now seems like a hundred years ago) come and see...

I'm sure it was!! I've never seen hail that big; it must be quite a sight!

Liesa, don't worry about the hair dye...I mean really, what could go wrong?

It was my fantastic sense of empathy! :lmao::lmao:

OK, thanks for the clarification. I more I know, the more empowered I feel. :rotfl2:

I think we all subscribe to the knowledge is power mantra since we spend hours learning about WDW in order to plan the perfect trip!

Can you believe I have NEVER ever in my whole life colored my hair?? I've had a couple perms, but not much else. :confused3

I cannot believe you have never colored your hair! I used to do it for fun and now I do it to cover those darn grays that seem to be multiplying!

:goodvibes

Thanks Camille! It was one of those weeks!
I will PM you soon to let you know the WDW portion of our plans. I thought about starting a PTR but I don't have much time left and only part of our trip is to WDW.

That's what I'm afraid of. Around here, "red" means bright purple or flaming neon something wicked! I think I'll wait....

Nope, never have. I think it sounds fun to have a change like that. I mean it's cheaper than a new house--- oh, wait, I"m getting one of those too. :rotfl2:

Yeah, FAR too many hours! :lmao:

An Ode to Indoor Plumbing or Sewers and You

What a brilliant idea modern man has comeup with!! The running water and flushing systems are genious!!

And I am happy, no euphoric, to tell you that I can now take care of business in the privacy of the VERY locked door of my INDOOR bathrooom instead of under God's blue sky, at a leisurely pace without the fear of my neighbor peeking over the fence that separates our yards.

I mean digging a hole in the dirt is good and all, but hearing that glorious whoosh is like a sonnet sung by the Vienna Boys' Choir! And to know that those pipes are a free-flowing to a freshly cleaned out system all the way to our manhole is a feeling akin to driving under the Welcome Sign at Disney!!

I may even just drink an extra few cups of coffee tonight just so I can use my fully functional facilities at night- just because I can.

Dishes- no more tossing out the water!

Laundry- yeah, I can do that too!

I just took my first bath in 2 weeks- showers, if they were really quick were ok, but boy do I feel the stress melting away along with my lavendar soap!

But, the best of them all is the dook down the drain!!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Now, to those of you who are absolutely TIRED of hearing about my plumbing woes, I hope this will be the very last nonsense you and I have will do deal with!!! For the next 4 months I hope that the city doesn't put anymore asphalt into the manhole if they pave and that my househelper is careful about putting grease or chunks of any kind down my holes.

Thanks for being so patient with me, as I suffered the woes of medieval man and the lack of the most basic convenience.

Resume your stations....

I'm going now to sing a sonnet in the privacy of my throneroom.[

Also, just a friendly reminder that there are only 6 days left to make your guesses in the latest game!!! Go back to Post #2232 and give me your guesses!! I have a hard time believing that only 7 people are going to take a shot at a chance to be the Master Predictor!

I can only imagine how you must feel....I kiss my porclein throne after a week of camping and using porta pottys...

For the last 2 weeks, I actually would have thought a porta potty would have been heaven on earth! Digging is a "hole" new story.

I realize the weekends are deader than the 999 spooks in the Haunted Mansion on the Boards, but if I'm going to get the last 3 days of our itinerary up here "on schedule" (yes, I'm THAT anal) one needs to go up today.

So, for your enjoyment and mine, here goes The Plan of Attack- DAY 10:

The night before we'll have been our LATE! so the next morning is VERY dicey on when we'll get to DHS- Rope Drop is at 8:00; we'll see where the chips fall. (Why am I suddenly compelled to look that up on idioms.com?)

We have until about 6:00 to tour at our leisure, and have nothing planned during the whole day.

The only thing that's NOT planned is a Park Hop, since, if you'll recall, 3 of my last 5 days MUST be hope-free, due to using the tix that come with our package. I actually LIKE having days built into our touring that aren't rushing from park to park. I think it'll afford us extra time to slow down and take in the details we might otherwise miss out on- like the Ewok Trees and the The Busty Courtyard.

We'll likely pick up sandwiches at Starring Rolls, but earlier in order to beat the crush of humanity.

Around 6:00- We head over to AK for a 6:50 ADR at Boma!! Oh yeahhhh...

After dinner- Jellyrolls

I'm thinking we may need to leave room in the schedule to go back to the resort early and swim or something too. By now, we may be "parked out".

Hope you're all enjoying your weekend stuff :goodvibes
