Checking in, reading along, cracking up.
Flab? Seriously? I've got more flab in one chin my friend.
Apple slicers are nifty. I don't know the origins of ours as it was a gift, but it is nice to have.
Running and breathing have always been mutually exclusive for me so I avoid the former in preference of the latter. Which I suppose lends itself to the existence of multiple chinage
Hope your book inventory goes well. Why am I suddenly hearing the librarian song from The Music Man playing in my head?
You're pretty funny! But, if we have to compare, I will find a "better" picture, that shows just enough cottage cheese to prove my point. It will be ugly, but you are forcing me to go to great leg-nths to press my case.
I got my apple/corer/peeler/slicer at the Goodwill for $3 about 10 years ago. Works great!! I use(d) it every year to make 50 pints of sauce to put up. Not to undersell you, Glennbo, but I always look for the bargain first.

Yeah, too bad we have to breathe. One of those inconvenient truths. Al Gore would be happy.
Just call me Marion.

Liesa, I seriously don't know what flab you are talking about!!
Don't make me do it!
Hey Liesa! Hope you've been having a good week , sounds like its been busy. I've got a lot to catch up on around here!
Congrats on finishing week 2 of C25k! I still haven't started it. In fact, I haven't been able to work out at all this week because my asthma's been flaring up. This seems to happen every time I get into a groove with a new workout. A month or two into it, I'll have a flareup that will set me back to page one.
I'm going to try to get an update done on my ptr later tonight. We'll see if I have any readers left![]()
It's has been. But heres' something fun... once these books are done, about 1/3 of my work of clearing out the "stuff" will be done. Believe it or not, we only came with excess baggage our first trip over. We never shipped a container or anything like that and it costs a lot of money to send stuff to us- so no one really ever did, except at Christmas. And when my mom did send stuff, she sent mostly food items like vanilla and taco seasoning. Everything else we have except some of our "souvenir" like stuff we'll sell here locally and not have to ship to the Big City for ex-pats to buy. Did I tell you, that I found ONE BUYER for ALL my books?? A family in a city twice as close to The Big City wants them and the people who are living in their house while they are on furlough wil even be up here this weekend for something. They can even help me get them on a bus for transport!!!! I am thrilled!!! I think our library will fetch around $500!! Not including the homeschool curriculum I have.
SOOOOO behind and I see you started a GAME while I was gone.
harupmph!
No flab that I can see either but I know how you feel. I think between the neck injury, then the new job and the vacation I've gained 10 pounds or at least it feels that way. I think I need to diet just so I can gorge myself again in august.
Or not but back to the gym I must go
sorta caught up. Not really.
I'm glad someone understands that even though there's not a lot there, what IS there is way to bread dough like. Soft is one thing. Jiggly is quite another!
Welcome back!!! We've totally missed you ya know!! Can't wait to hear what you gorged on THIS time around. ha! just about the time you feel gastronomically recoved from April, you'll be heading off to do it all over again in August!!

Take your time; it's mostly asparagus talk.

I can't remember if we've talked about this before, but my little sister is actually a surgical nurse. She loves it, except for the whole stroking the surgeons' egos part.![]()
My dad was an anesthesiologist- he used to complain about that too- the "office politics" used to really piss him off!!! It also provided for some very funny stories too. I should get antoher one to share.
Well, as soon as they changed them, they changed them right back again. No one knows what's going on!

The whole family was weird. They didn't want to order anything that was on the menu and wanted to change everything to make it "less African". What's the point of going to Jiko if you don't want to try something new?Save your money and go to Sizzler or Ponderosa

Weird+Crabby Kids+Picky tastes= Stay home or at least out of JIKO.

I know DH & I dressed up, and I can find the printed picture but not the image for some reason. He wore black pants and a button down shirt, and I wore a really cute faux wrap dress. I would say we were dressed similar to most other patrons there, except weirdo family above that was wearing jeans and shorts.
I'm guessing it's nice casual, right?? Not jeans, but not sequins either.

And I agree with the others that your "before" picture looks better than a lot of people's "after" picture. There is no visible flab.
The baggy sweats are a girl's best friend.
So, speaking of C25K, I have been doing better with food choices and quantity this week and walked the dog two nights. Baby steps, right?
Hope you guys aren't too chatty tonight so I can catch up in the AM!
Yes, baby steps!!! Getting off the couch is the first step, and that's better than someone who doesnt' do that.
