Thanks so much everyone. This weekend was pretty good. Best weekend I have had in awhile, a few mishaps with food but nothing catastrophic.
Saturday: Did the Country Buffet thing. First of all can I just say that being with my mom and sister in the same room is not pleasant. I finally had to move sort of between them and referee. My sister is consistently angry at my mother for things that happened 30 years ago and it just never ends. My mom has not forgiven my sister for anything either. Boy what a fun lunch. My stepdad just tured his hearing aids off and ate happily in his deaf freedom. My husband came home and had three drinks and my daughter came home and took a nap. Can you say FAMILY STRESS! Okay, enough about that. The good news is that I held my own with food. I had a bbq chicken breast, removed the skin, a huge salad with dressing on the side, a small helping of rice/cheese/broccoli casserole and 8 bites of dessert. I skipped the rolls, mac and cheese, nachos and lots of other things that looked really good. It was difficult to not stress eat but I didn't. The walk beforehand helped because I didn't want to completely negate that time I spent working my butt off. Dinner was a chicken tenderloin, a Coors Light and one pretzel thing stuffed with nuclear cheese (it was about two bites but I am sure it was high in points).
Sunday: Had a Atkins shake early on then sat down at my computer to compose an email to one of my son's teachers. This woman is on my last nerve, she keeps griping about the cruise and how we took him out of school. He has made up the work weeks ago, has an A in her class and she will not drop it. "Oh it must be nice to have parents that let you miss school whenever", etc., etc. This in front of the whole class. Friday capped off with her not letting my son take home a project he made. They work in groups of three, they do three projects and each kid gets to take one home. This one was to be his. The two other boys decided Matt should not get it since he had been gone. Not during this project but thats what they decided. Since the teacher loves to bring this up they probably thought why not? The teacher sided with them, saying it wasn't fair and right but she was letting them keep it anyway and thats why "you shouldn't let your parents take you out of school". I was really steamed.

. So I wrote her an email telling her to get over it, I was sorry she thought we didn't care about school, he has an A in her class and that she darn well better bring this up with me in the future and not him. I also reminded her this absence was excused and that we did everything they told us to do. This is an elective too not even an academic class and none of those teachers are griping so don't know why she is. Now after this of course I needed some pancakes and bacon so I ate two small pancakes with 2t.butter and syrup and three pieces of bacon. Oh well. Lunch was a half a chicken sandwich from Wendy's (fried, no mayo) a few fries and half of a coke. Dinner was some steak, a bit of chicken breast and a half cup of rice. Not a great day. I know I stayed within points over the weekend since I still had 20 flex points left. I am also earning activity points but I try not to take those. Working out to enable me to eat more is not a lesson I care to learn and rely on.
Today I am hoping to walk outside but its 40 degrees and sleeting so that may not happen. If not, I'll do WATP video. I don't want to lose my momentum with this exercise.
So thats the long, caught up saga of my weekend. If you stayed with this, thanks! Now I get to wait for the inevitable snotty email from this teacher. I may just refer her over to Dan and let him deal with it because he is better at this type of thing than I am.
