Yes, Elliott had those teeth done for free by a Beverly Hills doctor. I think they look awful, like horse teeth! And E seems to have a lisp that I never noticed before.

I actually didn't see that said about him. He really looked ready to go, and stunned afterwards. He said something about "the machine" (Melinda?) - I guess winning, Jordin looked surprised too.

I am finally just watching the episode. Blake looked really suprised and almost disturbed that he'd won (or that she'd lost). He really seemed to expect to go home.

You know, how DO you react in a situation like that? I always think that has to be awkward as heck. You know inside he's gotta be thrilled, but the little angel on his shoulder is whispering "keep it to yourself, buddy, hold back, hold back...."

I couldn't be nearly the good actor in that situation. My reaction: "YES! IN YOUR FACE DOLITTLE!"

yeah, he did. to me he sounds completely different now that he got them fixed, too. maybe it's just me. he looks better with them fixed at least! go Elliott. if i had $50,000 to spend on my teeth i'm sure they'd look that good too!

I read somewhere that the dentist who did the work, did it for free.

About Elliot's teeth: they were awful last year - but I did wonder if having them fixed would change some of his "sound". Not that your voice changes, but the teeth and tongue have a lot to do with how that sound comes out!

I'm not disappointed in last night's outcome. I think that Melinda will have a better career without AI. I'll watch next week, but eh - either one can win - it's ahight wit' me!

I agree. I see Jordin & Blake like last years winner & runner-up. Taylor and whats her face (Katherine)? You don't hear anything from either of them. My man Chris Daughtry is booming in sales. Even Bucky's CD is doing good!

My DD loves Katharine. She downloaded her song "over it" from itunes.

I've heard nothing from Ruben, Fantasia and Taylor Hicks. Not surprised though; they weren't who I voted for.

Poor Elliott! He is darned with his old teeth and darned with his new! I thought he sounded great, though. He seems to do a lot of charity work, and that is something I like (he isn't just a poser like I think last years #2 is, sorry for all of you who like her!)

Blake doesn't have the voice, nor the compliments every week from the judges that Melinda has. I would expect he was sad she was going, and I think it'd be rough knowing that you were probably the one that the judges wanted to go home, yet someone else did.

I do like Blake, though - I liked all of the 3 finalists this year and had NO idea who would have gone home. He's very fresh, and has a pleasant voice.

I would love to see a thread with a poll listing all the AI CDs and who bought which ones.

I bought Kelly's AI CD single and her second CD, Clay's AI CD "Bridge over Troubled Water" and his Christmas CD, and Carrie Underwood's CD.

My 10 year old bought 'Over It' by Katharine McPhee on iTunes.

I sure hope Jordin wins this whole thing. I can't find anything extraordinary about Blake. Then he holds his mouth really weird when he sings certain sounds and I have to look away. Then the beatbox thing that I just don't "get". But AI was never a singing competition was it?

I don't feel that way about him - I think he's fairly sure of himself as far as his performances, but when criticized by the judges, he takes it very well. Not smug or anything, I don't think so!

I'm not a fan of his black hair, though.

Constantine Maroulis - Pray for the Soul of Betty and will buy his solo CD when it comes out this summer
Daughtry
Bucky Covington - I'm not a country person, I've only listened to it once but I felt the need to support Bucky since I voted for him last year. I still love his voice even though he's singing country music.

But I admire the beatboxing thing because it's something I couldn't begin to do in a million years!

It's the using a of a voice like a musical instrument rather than to form words that I think is just so neat. Taylor Hicks does it a lot - he did it a lot before Idol, a LOT since Idol, but never really on the show. He played it safe - I'd dare to say that Blake's got more guts.

I have NEVER bought an AI singers' CD ...thats right NEVER...

None of the music has been close enough to my genre that I enjoy...Sure, I'll jam out to Kelly Clarkson's "Since you've been gone" if its on the radio.
I guess I'm more into bands/alternative/emo stuff??? Fountains of Wayne, Ben Folds, Ben Kweller, Amy Winehouse etc.... I guess I listen to stuff that doesn't get a lot of radio spins....
