As for Stevie Songs, I expect nobody will sing Overjoyed as that is the song that got Jose voted off. Also, You are the sunshine of my Life was sung by Brenna, and I beleive Katharine sang a Stevie song, so I doubt those will be sung either.

Katharine sang All is Fair in Love and very well IMHO!

I don't recall hearing ANYTHING about Gedeon's background, but he could have used the boost, if it had some of the required "sob story" elements. The guy could really sing. I didn't vote for him nor would I buy one of his CD's, but he had a lot of talent.

I'm still shaking my head over Gedeon going home over Kevin. I think Gedeon's downfall was how serious he took himself and his music. His personality just didn't fit in with any of the others, and he didn't connect with his audience. But man, that guy has a set of pipes - what a voice!

My favorites - Chris, Taylor and Bucky. The girls just bore me! I know a lot of people don't like Bucky, but I love him - and no, I don't see the resemblence to George Clooney! He's a bit on the raw side, and so is his voice. I think with a stylist and a makeover, he'd be pretty handsome! I think he has nice eyes...but with that said, he's probably too country to win this competition. I think Ace is a hottie too - as long as he wears his beanie! I think Chris or Taylor will be in the finals. Of course, each week my opinion may change!

I also don't see the big deal with Kellie. She reminds me of Chrissy Snow from Three's Company - cute but an airhead! And her voice is just average. Why Kevin is still there is beyond me!

OK, so let me get this straight. If I didn't like or vote for Ayla, then I envy her background or her work ethic? ...ummm...NOT!

Of course not everybody feels that way toward Ayla or Kellie or anyone else who have had their background brought up on the show. However, I do think it is a factor.

I bet if Gedeon did a background segment and mentioned his father passing away 3 months ago and threw in how proud he must be looking down on his boy etc etc...he might have still been on the show.

So, for the past couple of weeks I've been wondering, "Who does Kevin remind me of?" : (BTW, the Chicken Little thing was cruel to do to the kid). Anyway, last night it finally hit me. Not only is there a physical resemblance but he SOUNDS like him when he talks: Rudy Giuliani! I'm not kidding! Look:

Go ahead, call me crazy but listen to Kevin when he speaks tonight. And, it's not just because they both have a lisp.

Funny, I was going to say he reminded me of Radar O'Reilly. I bet if you put Ace's hat on him, you'd really see the comparison.

I still have 10 pages to get through, so I assume this was already mentioned, but how could Fox let the twins into the audience for some more face time? They had their 15 minutes of fame, now let them slink back into the hole they crawled out from.

I do think both Kellie and Paris had an advantage based JUST on their backstories.
They both seemed to be judge favorites from early on too which probably didn't hurt.

But I thought Ayla was on pretty equal footing with some of the other girls as far as that goes. ie my personal preference comment.

IMO Kinnik was a given to be off and there were probably 3 girls, any of which I would not have been surprised to see go last night, and Ayla was one of them.


Anyway...

As for the guys, I absolutely DO NOT understand why Dweeb-cheeks is still there. Guess I'm not seeing the same persona most folks are.

I'm still puzzled over who is voting for Kevin. I thought that Will would be more likely to have the young girl's votes with some of the girls also going for Ace. But Kevin?

I didn't even know anything about Ayla's background. I don't pay attention to much of the backstory stuff and I wonder if all that many people do. I didn't really think she sang all THAT well but did think that she was better than a few of the girls that are still there.

Those twins are idiots and I totally could have done without seeing them again. And hearing their big mouths!!! I couldn't even stand the sight of them.

And Kevin SHOULD be the next to go...I mean come on...they're getting rid of good talent just because people think he's adorable? Pish tosh!

As sad as it may sound, I wouldn't be surprised if those creeps end up on some reality show or get a hosting gig for some cable show. Really....I could see them on Amazing Race and being just as obnoxious and annoying.

I think Kelli is real.
I worked with a girl jsut like her and we live in Memphis.
This girl was in college and didnt know how much money to give me for a roll of quarters.
I also lived in a little town in VA in the mid 70's.
We were about 60 miles from NC,TN.or WVA,
I knew some of my friends who had never been out of the state!!!!
And even now. calamri and salmon and spinach salads are like foreign food there.

The twins are simply horrible creatures. Haven't they realized their 15 minutes of fame is up. I too can't understand why FOX even allowed them in the studio.

Now back to the music. I think it is important to try to figure out who will sell the most records, this is what this competition is all about after all.

not a thing wrong with that....people on this thread seem to knock people who are confident in themselves....Ayla, Gedeon, Paris....I think its great they are proud of themselves....And I wish them the best....Think of the most successful people in life...they are confident people...

There's confident and then there's cocky. I think Gideon came across too much as the latter. It's too bad, because he does have a great voice.
