I think he may have and i recall it was good. IF it wasn't him--someone at some time sang it.

You know--I may be thinking of RockStar INXS. :confused3

I think Kellie will have the most difficult time singing Queen.

Constantine sang Bohemian Rhapsody last year and totally nailed it! He did such a good job he went on to record it on a tribute Album called Killer Queen with a bunch of other singers and bands like Los Lobos and Joss Stone.

You can click here and hear the entire song and also all the other covers.

I agree that "We Will Rock You" would be a great song for Chris!!! I think he will do the best under this theme. After the country one, I am sooo ready for another theme this next week! :crazy2:

I also agree that Kelly will have a difficult time with Queen too.

That's one of the bad things about this show. You really do get emotionally attached to some of the contestants and it's really hard to see them go....especially when it's way before they should be leaving! Unfortunately every season there are a few weeks where it is shocking as to who goes home. This was the first of this year, and probably not the last.

Although, I have to say, I don't think anything has come even close to being as dissappointing as Clay not winning in Season 2. I seriously have to keep reminding myself that he didn't win. You'd think he did, based on sales for their albums. Even though he didn't win, he proved that he was the best of that season, seeing how well he has done. I don't even remember the last time I heard of Ruben. :confused3

Sorry to disagree Ruben was the best voice of the 2.....I loved his voice and couldnt really stand to look at Clay when he sang....Clay has become more popular than Ruben bur when was the last time I heard a Clay song either....I think the ones doing the best from this show are Kelly, Carrie and Josh Gracin....I really liked Ruben but not a big fan of Clay

Well, I was prepared for Mandisa thanks to dialidol...but I really hoped they were wrong again. Paris would have been better off going home. I don't know about you guys but I have never heard the audience be so QUIET over someone getting voted off. Even with Constantine last year there was immediate outrage. Tonight was just stunned silence for a long time....at least in terms of dead air time. With the group that is left it is going to come down to song choices every week...no more playing it safe.

Queen...I'm not so crazy about that theme...I'm thinking it's going to be a not so good week. I can't even imagine what Kellie or Bucky will do, or even Paris for that matter.

I showed my wife the dialidol results before the show and she was like no way....when it was right she was so mad for me showing it to her....she wasnt shocked it just spoiled it for her.....She is pulling for Chris and only Chris....of course she did say she will never buy his album cause she dont like that music and he cannot sing a ballad but she would buy a dvd of his videos and mute the tv....I guess I could say the same about Kellie....or Katherine

Maybe for Queen Week they'll have special guest..... Cher Mandael!!! (And again cue joke that only Damo and other Canadians may understand.)

For non-CI watchers (and I only watched the video because I heard it was amusing), this past season in one of the semi-final rounds (they use the format AI used in AI-Ai3) a girl attempted to sing Bohemian Rhapsody. Hilarity Ensued.

Okay ML--I do know more Queen than I realize----Taylor: Crazy Little thing called love. Total swoon song!!!!

ETA: Under Pressure would be cool....don't know who could sing it though.

QUEEN huh? this should be another interesting week then! i don't htink everyone is going to be able to pull this off...a majority of them are going to flop i think...
It's time for Paris to go home.

I can't imagine Elliot doing well with any queen song...it may be his time to go home ( I hope I hope I hope!!!)

I am so disappointed that Mandisa is going home.

I voted for her over & over last night, & unfortunately, I got through every time. That was the first sign that she may be in the bottom 3, but I really didn't think she'd go home. I thought Elliott or Paris would go home before her.

I actually thought her & Chris would be the final 2 standing. :confused3

Me too!!!!!!!!!!!! I voted for her for over an hour, and I rarely got a busy signal. I just don't get it. She has a beautiful voice and personality!!!! I just knew that she would be in the top 4 if not the top 2!!! IMO there are others with a worse voice. I totally disagree with Kelly being one of the top 3. Yes, she did a good job this week, but when you look at overall, Mandisa has a much better performance record. I just don't get it. I am so sad about this one!!!!

I hope so too...He hasnt done well with anything else so why would he start with Queen?

No shock here. Mandisa's shine has been wearing thin in recent weeks. I'm a little surprised that she went before Paris or Bucky, but not surprised that she was in the bottom three, at least, this week.

Why ten votes? Why not just one? Better than that: I wish there was a way to have individual people register to vote, in advance, in such a way that they could be sure that people aren't registering twice. (I surely wouldn't give a television show my social security number, so that's out!)

Kellie will be in the top 3 not by here voice but by just being popular...I guess call it a feel good story....She has a huge fan base or lots of busy relatives and friends...I think we saw the top 3 by the grouping last night....wasnt one group Taylor, Kellie and Chris....I believe thats your top 3.....with one of the guys taking it all... hopefully Taylor as he seems to have a better vocal range....

Josh Gracin's Critically-Acclaimed New Single
Billboard Magazine has great things to say about Josh Gracin's new single Favorite State of Mind:

"Single Pick of the Week. Perhaps it is no longer fashionable to mention that Josh Gracin is a season two American Idol finalist. Then again, season four winner Carrie Underwood recently topped the country singles chart and debut victor Kelly Clarkson is now a two-time Grammy winner. Certainly, statistics are in the former Marine's favor. He has already scored three top five hits, including the #1 Nothin' to Lose last March. Favorite State of Mind is a rousing, party-hardy jukebox directive, targeting fans who enjoy an embossed familiarity with classic giddy-up country. Gracin's vocal is convincing, and the fast-paced melody and its percussion-heavy opening and destined to be a two-step staple at apropos dance halls. Like Clarkson before him, with this, Gracin glides toward a state of independence."

As I posted way early in this thread I saw Josh in concert and he was teriffic....He has really grabbed on to the success AI has given him and I think one of the best AI has produced....He wont match Kelly Clarksons success or Carrie's eventual success but he is the 3rd most productive candidate from the show IMHO

Well, guess it's time to turn out the lights on this season of AI. While there really isn't anyone I am wild about, Mandisa came the closest to providing some real entertainment. I voted multiple times for her on Tuesday and got thru right away about 95% of the time. :(

While I'm not crazy about Katharine, only her and Mandisa don't make me wonder if they'll be able to hit the notes or if they'll cause hearing damage. The big difference in the two of them is that Mandisa's personality sparkles like a diamond. Katharine's is more like a rhinestone.

So, yeah, I'm very disappointed. Bucky, Paris, Ace or even Elliott should have been gone before Mandisa. I hope she does well and I think she will. I want to hear more of Mandisa. She can sing just about anything.

I really like Josh Gracin. I voted for him the year he was on and I remember well how many people slammed him. I'm glad to constantly see him doing so well. :)

I'm sorry! I feel your pain and I really agree that it was a shock that she went. My theory is that there are really less Bucky fans but they are spending their paychecks voting!

I think this is an odd group, to tell you the truth. I think Chris and Katharine are the only ones with any real star quality.

Ace and Bucky are just weak, you guys should face it. You can like them, but their voices just aren't there. (Although I guess that never stopped Ashley Simpson). I think the rest of them, including my favorite (and I think clearly the best voice left) Elliot, will need some serious image work to make them pop idols.

I can't even imagine it! I'm actually more anxious to see what she'll do than anything. If she can find a queen song that she doesn't seem out of place with, I'll be impressed.

I'm livid that Mandisa got the boot :furious: . I feel she sings better than Elliott, Ace, Paris & Bucky! I feel Mandisa should've been one of the finalist toward the end. So Mandisa chose the wrong country song, she can definitely sing her butt off. Ace/Bucky/Elliott can't hold a note to Mandisa! Also felt Taylor should've been in the bottom 3. He didn't do good last week. He must have a larger fan base.
