I can't even imagine it! I'm actually more anxious to see what she'll do than anything. If she can find a queen song that she doesn't seem out of place with, I'll be impressed.

Havent people thought this every week and each time she does better than expected...I am excited....she will have to make the song her own...she will do fine wont be the best but will be ok

Kellie will be in the top 3 not by here voice but by just being popular...I guess call it a feel good story....She has a huge fan base or lots of busy relatives and friends...I think we saw the top 3 by the grouping last night....wasnt one group Taylor, Kellie and Chris....I believe thats your top 3..... with one of the guys taking it all... hopefully Taylor as he seems to have a better vocal range....

Yes, I am sure that you are right. I agree with Taylor and Chris being there. I just don't think that Kelly deserves it based on her singing ability. Other singers that are better have already gone home. That is what AI is all about, though. America has their say, and we certainly don't all have the same tastes! Popularity will come into play.........that is just part of it.

...well not every week...she's OK, though, I like her fine. I'm over that trampy version of walking after midnight, now.

She's pretty, she's got the voice, I just not into the idea of another country winner. I swear though, if she gets voted off before Bucky, I'm going to have to face the fact that the "America" in American Idol is looking for something I can't identify with.

I'm livid that Mandisa got the boot . I feel she sings better than Elliott, Ace, Paris & Bucky! I feel Mandisa should've been one of the finalist toward the end. So Mandisa chose the wrong country song, she can definitely sing her butt off. Ace/Bucky/Elliott can't hold a note to Mandisa! Also felt Taylor should've been in the bottom 3. He didn't do good last week. He must have a larger fan base.

She is better but not this past week...the problem is I think people rush there judgement based on the week at hand than over the entire season....overall she was definately better but for the week she picked a bad bad song for her....of course Taylor was horrible this week too...so who knows....scratch what I just said....I guess she just didnt have a big fan base....I did think Paris and Ace were the 2 best this week....Pars has performed very good the past 2 weeks...I had all but written her off 2 weeks ago but she is making a come back....I think Ace and Elliott need to go next and then Bucky....

I'd say that America was just too shallow and image conscious didn't want a fat girl, but then how does that explain Taylor (not a fat girl, but not a pop star, either.)

Not sure I agree with that look at Ruben and Fantasia....they were not the most image conscious....Kelly is a pop star....Taylor is just likeable and intriguing

I really like Josh Gracin. I voted for him the year he was on and I remember well how many people slammed him. I'm glad to constantly see him doing so well.

I was going to post the exact same thing. I couldn't vote but certainly would have if I could have. The bashing against Josh was similar to that against Ace this year. Pretty boy, only getting by because of his looks and the fact that he is in the military. I'm so glad to hear he is proving everyone wrong.

Couple things:

1 - Slamming Bucky then saying Elliott has the best voice left in the competition?!? Talk about losing credibility in a hurry.

2 - Of the bottom three, I would have preferred Elliott going, as both of the other two have had "wow" performances at some point, and both have greater potential as singers than he does. But then, I'm still ticked that he completely murdered one of my favorite songs this week.

Sorry to disagree Ruben was the best voice of the 2.....I loved his voice and couldnt really stand to look at Clay when he sang....Clay has become more popular than Ruben bur when was the last time I heard a Clay song either....I think the ones doing the best from this show are Kelly, Carrie and Josh Gracin....I really liked Ruben but not a big fan of Clay

Actually, Clay's debut album sold more than any other Idol contestants. Here's some numbers I found from MTV:

I know he hasn't put out any albums recently, but he is still very popular. I wanted to go see him in Atlantic City two summers ago, but it was impossible to get tickets. I was constantly dialing before the time tickets went on sale, and they were out almost before they went on sale!

Well, guess it's time to turn out the lights on this season of AI. While there really isn't anyone I am wild about, Mandisa came the closest to providing some real entertainment. I voted multiple times for her on Tuesday and got thru right away about 95% of the time.

While I'm not crazy about Katharine, only her and Mandisa don't make me wonder if they'll be able to hit the notes or if they'll cause hearing damage. The big difference in the two of them is that Mandisa's personality sparkles like a diamond. Katharine's is more like a rhinestone.

So, yeah, I'm very disappointed. Bucky, Paris, Ace or even Elliott should have been gone before Mandisa. I hope she does well and I think she will. I want to hear more of Mandisa. She can sing just about anything.

I so agee with you about Mandisa. I really felt that she would be inthe top 5, she is such a great singer. Katherine also is wonderful. BUt lets get real, the contest, once it gets in the hands of the Amerian public, is no longer a singing contest, it is more of a looks/personality contest. I told dh last nite, I am not watching anymore. My favorites were Mandisa, Katherine and Chris. I felt that Elliot could sing really well also. Bucky, Ace and Kelly should not be in the top 5, they really stink, especially compared to the others.

Only because it's been out so much longer than Carrie's. There is little doubt that Carrie's debut will far surpass Clay's debut. With just one more appearance on Idol she could push her sales numbers past his. Not much chance she'll surpass Kelly's "Breakaway", but she will easily land the second spot on the "Idol" charts.

Oh wow you got to it before me lol. I had such a hard time finding numbers. But yours look better anyway. Kelly did top Clay in albums sold, but he still has the highest selling debut album!

Mandissa had a great voice, the night she did Chaka Khan was amazing.
Ace, Bucky and even Paris should have definatley been gone before her,

First of all I didn't slam anyone, if you are talking to me. I just don't think he is very talented. This is a competition and someone has to lose. It should be him. Nothing personal.

I'm certainly not the only fan of Elliot's voice. The judges seem to like him. Are you a high school student or something. You talk about this like you are electing prom queen or something. Calm down, it's just a tv show.

Remember in season 1 when Tamyra Gray left well before some others that should have been gone like Justin Guarini for an example...everyone was outraged because they thought she was great and should have won. But some people forget and tune in again anyway.

She shouldn't have left over several others but it's the nature of the show.

It comes down to song choice. If Mandisa would have done a country ballad she probably would have blown everyone off the stage. (She should have sang the song Paris did). I guess it's all hind sight now.

I heard on the radio this morning that Kellie broke a record on Tuesday night...











Her red corset top was the MOST EXPENSIVE article of clothing EVER bought for an Idol contestant. Talk about the pimping of a contestant!

It was so odd...we never expected it.

I think the audience was quiet after announcing Mandisa because they liked Elliott and Mandisa. They really couldn't boo when Mandisa got booted because it would have looked like they wanted Elliott gone. The audience was probably being polite all around.
